Chapter 454 Don't Call My Name
Everly looked at Malcolm in shock, completely unprepared for him to say such a thing to her.
Alyssa didn't dare to make a sound from the side either. She could see that Malcolm was truly angry this time. Indeed, Everly had gone overboard this time.
Aiden's expression also changed because he knew Malcolm best. If Reese had to take action, it must have touched her vulnerabilities.
Thinking carefully, Everly indeed went too far just now. The Hawthorne family was like a thorn in Reese's heart; no one else could touch it.
But Everly, this foolish girl, wanted to pull out this thorn. How could Reese not be angry?
His grandson was also famously protective of his wife, so how could he let it go easily?
Aiden even doubted if he would be spared if he ever provoked Reese.
He decided to first see how Malcolm handled it, then consider whether to intervene.
Malcolm instructed Justin who was beside him, "Go find her a place right now and have the servants pack her things and move her out."
"Malcolm..."
"Don't call my name!" Malcolm's lips tightened, and he roared.
Everly trembled all over, the calm she had just regained shattered once more.
Alyssa was also frightened by Malcolm. She rarely saw him lash out so furiously at anyone, especially them. He had always pampered them, agreeing to almost any request as long as it wasn't too excessive.
However, now, he was suddenly so angry. It seemed this matter wouldn't end easily.
Aiden then spoke up, "Everly, hurry up and apologize to your brother!"
Everly nodded quickly, turning to Malcolm with tears in her eyes. "Malcolm, I was wrong. I shouldn't have said those things. I didn't think much at the time, just said it casually, with no other intentions."
Malcolm's eyes were cold, and he spoke mockingly, "No other intentions? Everly, ever since you came to the Flynn family, we've always treated you as one of our own. We've never mentioned your background in front of you. The entire Flynn family sees you as the second young lady. You also have no family of your own; why can't you understand others' feelings?"
Alyssa felt the oppressive atmosphere. Malcolm's tone was indeed harsh, but he wasn't unreasonable. After all, Everly wasn't the Flynn family's biological child, yet they never mentioned it to avoid hurting her feelings.
Who knew Everly would say such things about others.
Alyssa also felt it was hurtful to Reese, but seeing Everly like this now, she also felt pity for her.
Everly never imagined Malcolm would say such harsh words to her, all for Reese's sake.
Her tears fell uncontrollably as she looked at the angry Malcolm in front of her, utterly disappointed. "Is she that important to you? Are you willing to throw away all the years we've spent under the same roof? And now you want to kick me out of the Flynn family!"
"If you hadn't continuously caused trouble for her, I wouldn't do this. Don't think I don't know what you've been up to behind my back with Shirley and the others to harm her. Do I need to bring out all the evidence?" Malcolm accused.
The veins on Malcolm's forehead bulged, and his aura filled the entire hall. Even Aiden said nothing more because he wasn't surprised or doubtful that Everly could do such things.
Aiden didn't want to deal with these issues himself, but that didn't mean he was unaware. Now that Malcolm had spoken, if Everly continued to stay in the Flynn family, it wouldn't benefit her either.
Perhaps moving out would be a relief for her, at least she wouldn't have to see Reese and Malcolm being close every day.
After a moment of contemplation, Aiden spoke, "Let's do as Malcolm said."
Everly looked at Aiden in disbelief. "Grandpa, what are you saying? Are you also going to make me move out?"
Aiden didn't answer Everly but instead said to Jason beside him, "Help me back to my room, I'm tired."
Jason looked at Everly awkwardly but still helped Aiden upstairs.
Everly watched Aiden leave, screaming heart-wrenchingly, "Grandpa..."
But Aiden just walked away without saying a word.
Back in the room, Jason asked in confusion, "Mr. Flynn, do you really want to force the second young lady to move out? She seemed very sad."
"What can we do? She made the mistake herself. The longer she stays under the same roof as Malcolm, the harder it will be for her to forget. I never thought she'd harbor feelings for Malcolm for so long," Aiden said and sighed.
"Yes, the second young lady is quite infatuated," Jason replied.
"But her infatuation is misplaced. No matter what, Malcolm is married now. To the outside world, she's always been the second young lady of the Flynn family, Malcolm's sister. If they were together, the media would have a field day. More importantly, I don't think Everly's personality is suitable to be the Flynn family's daughter-in-law."
This had always been Aiden's belief, not just because of their identities but also because Everly's personality made her an unsuitable match for Malcolm.
Jason sighed and said, "There's nothing we can do."
"Let Malcolm handle it. I trust he'll arrange everything properly."
Now that Aiden was old, he didn't want to deal with these matters anymore.
In the hall, Justin had already had the servants pack Everly's things. Seeing this, Everly panicked completely. She knew Malcolm was serious about kicking her out.
She immediately turned and pleaded. "Malcolm, I beg you. I've lived in the Flynn family residence for so many years, I'm used to it here. I don't want to leave. It was my fault this time. I'll apologize to her. As long as she forgives me, will you let me stay?"
Saying this, Everly turned to run upstairs but was stopped by Malcolm.
"Everly, I advise you not to go!" Malcolm said.
Because of this, Everly didn't dare to find Reese. Her previous actions had left a significant psychological shadow, and she feared what Reese might do to her.
Everly stood frozen, very scared, feeling as if the path before her was entirely blocked.
Alyssa didn't know what to say either. She couldn't persuade either side nor stop it. Given the current situation, it seemed that Everly leaving was the best option. Otherwise, her relationship with Reese would only worsen.
Justin then approached Everly, saying, "Miss Flynn, come with me."
