Chapter 427 It's Still That Damned Girl
Clara signed in relief. Thankfully, she had more sons. Otherwise, as the only woman, she would have had no way to handle things.
Everly checked the time and had said everything she needed to say to Clara.
Everly said, "In that case, you all should start planning properly. Don't drag this out too long. It won't benefit any of us."
The longer it drags, the Hawthorne Group and she couldn't afford it even more.
Clara was equally furious with Reese. "Don't worry. As long as you're sincere about helping us, Reese will take her consequence."
"That's good." Everly couldn't stay at the Hawthorne family for too long. If Malcolm and the others got suspicious, she wouldn't be able to explain herself.
After Everly left, Clara grew even darker. "Tell Nathaniel to come back tonight without any delay. We must act before they snatch the project."
This project was originally something Alexander had spent half a month running around to select, after a lot of investigation. They had planned to have the company start implementing it during this free time. Who knew Reese would suddenly appear?
It was bad enough Reese made Alexander bedridden for three days. But now she wanted to steal four of their company's projects. It was insane.
Had they known this disaster would happen, Stephen probably would have strangled Reese back then.
Nathaniel rushed back as soon as he got the message, not even finishing his tasks. When he saw Clara, he gave her a hug.
"Mom, you called me back in such a hurry. What's going on? Where's Alexander?" Nathaniel asked.
"Don't mention it. He was drugged and has to stay in bed for three days and was unable to speak. Your dad is so angry he's still in the hospital." As she spoke, Clara's tears began to flow, her face full of grievance, as if she wanted to pour out all her bitterness at that moment.
Nathaniel hadn't expected so much to happen in the short time he was away. He helped Clara sit down and instructed a servant to bring her a cup of water.
The servant brought the water and handed it to Nathaniel. He carefully blew on it for c.

Among her many sons, Clara liked Alexander and Nathaniel the most. Nathaniel was meticulous. Although Alexander was strong and cold, he had managed the company well over the years, saving her a lot of worry.
Only Sebastian was the most troublesome, always indulging himself outside. Sebastian was nothing but a good eater, drinker, and player. He even treated the family's enemies as friends, constantly talking about Reese.
Clara believed Sebastian had been brainwashed.
After drinking some water and calming down, Clara told Nathaniel everything that had happened recently. She couldn't help but sigh after finishing.
"I wasn't planning to tell you, knowing you're busy outside. But we had no choice. If it weren't for that woman harming Alexander, we wouldn't have..." Clara said.
"Mom, you can discuss things properly. Why resort to drugging others? If it gets out, it will affect the Hawthorne family's reputation. You know how important reputation is in business," Nathaniel added.
Everyone cared about their reputation. If it got ruined, nobody wanted to cooperate with the Hawthorne family in the future.
