Chapter 493: Spoiling His Wife Like His Life Depends on It

Reese quickly waved her hand, "Don't drag me into this. As long as they don't mess with me, I won't mess with them."

Alyssa's bad mood had vanished. She nudged Reese with her elbow and grinned.

"Well, you might be out of luck. Knowing them, they'll definitely cause trouble, especially since you're Malcolm's new wife."

Reese stayed calm, not a hint of fear on her face. "It doesn't matter."

She'd dealt with way much tougher people before.

Alyssa slapped her leg and stood up. "Then I'll just sit back and watch them leave the Flynn family in tears."

Reese watched Alyssa bounce away, humming a tune, and couldn't help but smile wryly. Alyssa was easy to cheer up; her bad moods never lasted long.

But that was a good thing. People should live freely and not be bogged down by unnecessary stuff.

Just as Reese was about to head back, her phone rang. It was Sophia, crying on the other end.

"Reese, I just got dumped..."

Reese was puzzled and asked the first thing that came to mind.

"When did you start dating?"

She had no idea Sophia was seeing anyone.

Sophia sobbed, "It's a long story. I think I met a jerk. After we slept together, he disappeared. Reese, I'm feeling awful. Can you come out and have a drink with me tonight?"

It was the first time Reese had seen Sophia cry so much over a guy. She didn't even know Sophia was dating.

But since Sophia was close to her, Reese agreed.

"Alright, send me the location. Just wait for me before you start drinking, in case you get drunk and someone takes you away."

Sophia laughed through her tears, feeling warm inside. It was nice to have someone who cared.

"Okay, don't worry. I'll wait for you."

After hanging up, Reese walked inside. Malcolm was just getting up, holding a packed breakfast for her.

"Honey, breakfast."

Reese was momentarily stunned, not expecting Malcolm to be so thoughtful.

The nearby maid couldn't help but tease, "Mrs. Flynn, you might not know, but there was only one sandwich left, and Mr. Flynn insisted on saving it for you."

It was hard to imagine that in the Flynn family, where nothing was lacking, two distinguished people would argue over an ordinary sandwich for quite a while.

But they were curious about how Reese managed to calm Alyssa down after she got so angry.

Reese's cold gaze softened as she reached for the sandwich. "Thank you, honey."

"Eat more. You were quite tired yesterday."

When Malcolm said this, his gaze at Reese was filled with heat.

And how could Reese not understand the implication in Malcolm's words? He was clearly referring to their intimate night.

Reese rolled her eyes at Malcolm, took a bite of the sandwich, and changed the topic.

"Sophia seems to have been dumped. She wants me to go drinking with her tonight."

"Are you going?"

"Yes, I haven't relaxed in a while."

Malcolm nodded thoughtfully. "Alright, I'll have Justin clear out a bar for you so that no one will disturb you. Discuss with Sophia and see which bar you prefer."

The maid was shocked. "Is it really necessary to make such a big deal out of a drink?"

"If it were someone else, maybe not. But you have to consider what kind of person Mr. Flynn is. He's a wife-spoiling maniac. I bet if Mrs. Flynn wanted the stars, Mr. Flynn would try to get them for her."

"Maybe he really would."

Even Reese thought it was over the top. She shook her head at Malcolm. "No need. It's just a drink because she got dumped. No need to make such a fuss."

"No way. It's late, and bars are full of all kinds of people. You two girls..."

Reese felt a bit embarrassed. "She is a girl, but I... even if the bar is full of people, you don't need to worry about me."

Even if the bar was crowded, she could handle herself.

Malcolm suddenly felt a bit awkward, his eye twitching. Reese's capability was both a blessing and a curse.

It meant she wouldn't easily be bullied, which was reassuring. But it also meant that whenever Malcolm wanted to show his protective side, she was more capable than anyone else.

Malcolm rubbed his temples in frustration. "Alright, then call me when you're done, and I'll pick you up."

"That works." Reese quickly agreed to Malcolm's suggestion. "We can't drive after drinking anyway, so it's perfect."

"Let's head to the office first."

"Yeah, I need to stop by my place. Calvin and the others have been busy investigating your matters and haven't had much rest. I told them to take a break for a few days."

No matter how intense the work was, rest was necessary. They couldn't just finish one task and immediately start another.

Malcolm remembered. "Why don't you take a break too? Don't worry about the company. If you can't finish your work, you can give it to me."

Reese raised an eyebrow curiously. "Can you handle my work? By the way, the coffee factory you gave me, seems like I'm the only one who likes the taste. The recent production hasn't been selling well."

Malcolm frowned. "Poor sales? How is that possible? What you like can't sell poorly."

Reese laughed. "Just because I like it doesn't mean others will. That's normal. Are you putting me on a pedestal, thinking everything I like is perfect?"

Malcolm walked up and habitually ruffled Reese's hair, his dark eyes full of affection.

"To me, you're the best."

To Malcolm, Reese was an angel. No matter what others thought, she was his treasure, untouchable by anyone.

Reese smiled softly. "I don't really care about the coffee factory. If it doesn't work out, we can sell it. We can open a small processing plant and sell to those who like it, even if we lose a bit."

Reese had thought about this before. Tastes varied. What she found delicious, others might find average, and vice versa. It was normal.

Malcolm patted Reese's shoulder, already having an idea.

"I'll take care of it. Don't worry. Let's get you to the office first."

"Okay."

Reese didn't mind much. She had too many companies, industries, and projects under her name. The coffee project was just a small part. Usually, she delegated such small projects to her subordinates, but Malcolm had specifically acquired this one for her.

After Malcolm dropped Reese off at her office and watched her go upstairs, he called Justin.

"Mr. Flynn, what can I do for you?"

"Reese's coffee isn't selling well. Have our company people buy some, and push it to our clients to increase sales."

He wanted to boost Reese's confidence.

Justin's heart sank. This was a massive task.

"Mr. Flynn, there are so many people in the company and our clients' companies. This could take two weeks."

"Two weeks?" Malcolm was surprised and then corrected, "I'll give you one week."

"One week!" Justin exclaimed. This was practically a death sentence.

He hadn't even finished his current tasks.

Malcolm's tone changed immediately. "Is there a problem?"
