Chapter 509 Will There Be Any Danger

Reese couldn't help but laugh out loud. "Do you really think, given our history, that if I said I came to visit you, you'd believe me? Wouldn't that just seem even more fake?"

Kenneth was at a loss for words. Their relationship had always been rocky, and now it was completely shattered.

Nancy was worried sick about Everhart being hunted. What if her daughter got caught up in it?

She urgently asked Reese, "So what's the situation now? If they find Everhart, will he be killed?"

Seeing Nancy so scared, Reese said, "That's why I asked if you know where Dahlia is. She needs to get away from Everhart ASAP."

"I... I don't know either. Dahlia hasn't been home for a month. She sometimes answers our calls, saying she's fine and will come back once she makes a lot of money."

"Can you callt her now?" Reese thought Nancy might be the key. If they could find something here, Louis wouldn't have to work so hard.

Nancy, worried about Dahlia's safety, put aside her grudge against Reese. "I'll try."

She took out her phone and called Dahlia, but there was no answer.

Nancy shook her head helplessly. "She didn't pick up. Lately, she often doesn't answer but calls us back later."

Malcolm suddenly spoke up, "Try sending her a message, saying Mr. Brooks had a sudden illness and is in the hospital. She needs to come back immediately."

Nancy was skeptical. "Will that work?"

"You got a better idea?"

Malcolm's simple question left Nancy speechless. She had no choice but to follow their suggestion.

"Okay, I'll try, but if it doesn't work, there's nothing more I can do."

Reese smirked. "If it doesn't work, don't blame us if anything happens to your daughter."

Nancy, scared by Reese's words, quickly picked up her phone. "Alright, I'll send the message right away."

Reese watched as Nancy sent the message.

Nancy spread her hands. "I've done what you said, Reese. Can you help Dahlia for the sake of us being family once?"

Reese looked at Nancy coldly. "Why didn't you think about how your daughter got involved with Everhart? They seem like two paths that should never cross."

Nancy looked confused. "I don't know. That's why I said she must have been deceived."

"Deceived? Your daughter isn't stupid. She wouldn't trust a man with nothing for no reason. She got involved with Everhart to use him against me. She thought Everhart had something on me and could take me down. How naive!"

Nancy suddenly realized. She didn't doubt Reese's words because they made sense. She knew her daughter well enough to know she'd do anything to get back at Reese. She didn't doubt that at all.

But with the support of the Flynn Group, she wasn't someone to be easily messed with.

Her daughter was being reckless, practically inviting trouble.

Nancy, terrified of Reese, said, "Reese, can you not hold a grudge against your sister this time? You know her temper; she means no harm."

Reese didn't immediately respond to Nancy but said, "Let's find her first."

Nancy had no choice but to follow Reese's lead. They had no power here.

"Okay, I'll let you know as soon as she replies."

"No, I'm staying here until Dahlia replies."

Reese's words stunned Nancy and Kenneth.

Kenneth couldn't believe it. "You want to stay here?"

"Any problem with that?" Reese knew them too well. If she didn't keep an eye on them, they might pull some tricks, and Louis's progress wasn't going well.

Kenneth thought it was unnecessary and politely refused. "Reese, this isn't appropriate. If Dahlia replies, we'll tell you immediately. We promised, and we won't go back on our word."

Kenneth wanted to discuss this with Nancy. He knew Reese's nature; she wasn't doing this for them. She wanted to find Everhart through Dahlia. That was her goal.

They couldn't let Reese control them anymore.

Reese also spoke politely to Kenneth. Everyone could act, and she might be better at it.

"No problem. This is a win-win for us. If this matter isn't resolved, it will be a disaster for Dahlia. You don't need me to explain that. Or you can take some time to check Everhart's background."

Malcolm looked up from his phone. "I've already sent it to your phones. You can check it."

Reese was surprised. She hadn't expected Malcolm to think the same way. Before she could act, he had already planned it out.

Malcolm gave her a knowing smile, which Reesemet with admiration.

"That's my husband. We really have a telepathic connection."

"Thanks for the compliment."

Kenneth was shocked by their intimacy, even though he had been married for years.

Nancy was even more annoyed and couldn't help but say, "If you want to show off your intimacy, do it at home. Now think about how to get my daughter back."

Reese turned to her. "Getting your daughter back is simple. Do as I say and don't play any tricks. Or I won't be responsible."

Nancy was getting more and more scared. After everything that had happened, she was terrified.

She nodded quickly. "Okay, we'll do as you say, but you must promise to bring her back safely."

Reese agreed. "Of course."

She planned not only to bring back Dahlia but also Everhart.

Reese and Malcolm spent the entire day at the Brooks' house, setting up their office there with files and computers.

Kenneth watched Justin carrying things in and out, speechless.

"Justin, isn't Mr. Flynn overreacting? If it's so troublesome, why not go back?"

Justin replied calmly, "Mr. Brooks, had you been more sincere, Mr. and Mrs. Flynn wouldn't have found it necessary to stay. It's not quite up to the standards of the Flynn family estate."

"This..."

Kenneth didn't anticipate being mocked by an assistant. If it were any other assistant, he would have retorted.

Justin gave Kenneth a knowing smile and went upstairs.

Nancy came over, looking worried. "What do we do now? We shouldn't have let Dahlia leave. Now she's in trouble with people she shouldn't have. Do you think she's in danger?"
