Chapter 580 Apologize to Reese
Malcolm's eyes carried a dangerous glint, making it tough for anyone to hold his stare. Sofia saw Malcolm's icy vibe and didn't dare get close.
Alexander could feel the intense energy coming off Malcolm.
However, Malcolm really lived up to his rep as the big shot in the industry, the Flynn family heir. Just being around him made people shake in their boots.
Right now, he could only pin his hopes on Sofia. At least Malcolm still felt some guilt towards them, and word on the street was that Sofia had some ties with Reese.
Even if Malcolm didn't give a damn about him, he'd care about Reese. What happens next was all on Sofia.
Alexander chimed in, "Yeah, you should think about others a bit. Can't be too selfish, man."
Malcolm shot a sharp look at Alexander, his irritation growing more obvious. "Alexander, zip it. I wouldn't flatter myself in front of the Hawthorne family when it comes to being more selfish. How come you can't even find the fugitive Nolan?"
Malcolm was especially ticked off that this guy came over to talk to him.
Alexander couldn't stand being talked down to by Malcolm. "Malcolm, can you show some respect? Even if our Hawthorne family doesn't acknowledge Reese, there's still a blood relation. Logically, I'm still your wife's brother. Can you have some decency?"
Malcolm gave Alexander a disdainful glance. "Decency? What about you? do you have any?"
How could he say such shameless things so self-righteously?
Alexander's eyes widened, and Malcolm's words just set him on fire.
Malcolm hissed, "I'm stating facts. Even if you do a DNA test now, Reese still has the Hawthorne family's blood."
Alexander retorted, "Who cares about the Hawthorne family's blood? Reese is already amazing. It's your Hawthorne family that doesn't deserve her. I'm actually thankful that your Hawthorne family was blind enough to not recognize her, saving Reese from falling into such a family."
Calvin almost wanted to clap and shout, 'Fight, fight!' Alexander was really too detestable.
He kept slandering Reese. What's wrong with Reese? Reese was so outstanding that most people didn't even deserve her.
Reese was still in danger yet they were still takling behind her back.
Calvin rounded on Alexander, "Mr. Hawthorne, how come all the kindness is reserved for the Hawthorne family? If Reese didn't want to have the Hawthorne family's blood, what could she do? Could she decide her birth? Fortunately, she's not really part of the Hawthorne family. If she were as cold-blooded and heartless as you, she'd be a laughingstock."
Alexander didn't expect even Reese's assistant to dare speak to him like this.
He glared at Calvin, "Did Reese teach you to talk like this?"
Calvin was about to speak when a clear female voice suddenly rang out from a distance. "Can you make a call?"
Alexander turned around and saw a tall girl walking over, her ponytail swaying briskly as she walked, looking somewhat similar to Malcolm.
When the girl reached Malcolm, Malcolm frowned. "What are you doing here?"
Alyssa was anxious, "Reese is in such big trouble, how could you not tell me? How is she now?"
Malcolm nodded towards the area where the rescue team was still digging. "Still searching."
Alyssa got the gist of the situation, and from what Alexander had said earlier, it was clear he didn't give a damn about Reese.
She'd always looked up to Reese because no matter what went down, Reese could always handle it on her own.
So she believed that as long as there was a sliver of hope, Reese wouldn't give up, and neither should they.
As for people who badmouth Reese, they shouldn't get off easy.
For the first time, Alyssa stared at Alexander with a sharp gaze. "I just wanna ask, Mr. Hawthorne, when they went to find Nolan, Reese told him straight up that if Sebastian noticed any problems, he should bail immediately. It was Sebastian who insisted on going in. He's a grown man, and should know how to protect himself. How can you blame that on Reese?"
Calvin almost wanted to give Alyssa a standing ovation. Seriously, the Flynn family were reasonable, while the Hawthorne family were just blind to the truth.
He said to Alexander, "You have no idea how worried Reese was about Sebastian. She put the best tracker she had developed in recent years on Sebastian. It was only because he went into the tunnel that the tracker lost signal..."
At this point, Calvin seemed to remember something.
The tracker?
Calvin blurted out, "Right, how could I forget about the tracker? We installed a tracker on him. The signal was lost because Sebastian was in the tunnel, which is normal. But it might not be the case elsewhere."
Hearing this, Alexander's eyes immediately lit up with hope. "Do you mean there's a way to find Sebastian?"
Calvin looked at the approaching Alexander, feeling particularly uncomfortable. Now it was his turn to take the initiative.
He turned his face away, sneering disdainfully, "Why should I help you? Have you forgotten how you treated Reese? Now Reese is in danger because of Mr. Sebastian Hawthorne and you still want to use the tracker she gave to find Mr. Sebastian Hawthorne? You're dreaming."
Justin and the others chimed in, "Exactly, we all heard how you spoke about Mrs. Flynn just now. Now you want to deny it?"
Louis and Ryan also couldn't stand Alexander's behavior.
For a moment, no one spoke up for Alexander.
Alexander negotiated with Calvin, "What do you want in exchange for helping me find Sebastian?"
"Apologize to Reese. You need to sincerely apologize and so do all those in the Hawthorne family who have hurt Reese with their words."
Calvin didn't hold back in negotiating with Alexander.
Since the Hawthorne family had already reached such a shameless point, he had no reason to feel embarrassed. It was the Hawthorne family's fault. He just wanted to stand up for Reese. An apology from the Hawthorne family was nothing compared to the grievances Reese had suffered.
But Alexander had no intention of apologizing to Reese, let alone making the entire Hawthorne family apologize to her.
Alexander immediately refused, "That's impossible. I'll apologize to her personally, but if you want the entire Hawthorne family to apologize, I advise you to forget it."
