Chapter 540 Reaching Such an Inhumane Level
Justin gave Malcolm a thumbs up. "Mr. Flynn, your move is genius. We don't even have to do anything. Vincent will freak out. He spent so much money, and now with Mrs. Flynn dead, he won't let it slide."
"Exactly, we need him to fall into his own trap. Otherwise, what's the point of all the money and effort?" Malcolm said, tired of dealing with Vincent's antics. Despite giving Vincent many chances, he kept messing up. Malcolm felt no guilt in cutting ties.
Justin nodded. "I'll take care of it. But should we send Mrs. Flynn to the hospital? Vincent will definitely send someone to check."
"Yeah, I'll talk to her."
"She'll agree. With her situation, Vincent is like a ticking time bomb," Justin added.
Vincent's obsession with taking over the Flynn Group had reached a dangerous level. He was fixated on getting rid of Reese and Malcolm. But Malcolm would show him the difference between ambition and pure madness.
Back at the Flynn family home, Malcolm told everyone to keep quiet about Reese's return.
At the studio, Alyssa was shocked to see Reese with bandages over her eyes. Reese had always been her idol.
She kept asking, "Reese, what happened? Who did this? Don't they know you're part of the Flynn family? Don't they know Malcolm treasures you?"
Reese laughed at Alyssa's questions. "Maybe he doesn't know I'm Malcolm's treasure," she joked.
Alyssa wanted to laugh but knew it wasn't the right time. "Reese, who did this?"
"Vincent hired someone," Malcolm said, walking in after telling the servants to keep quiet.
Alyssa was stunned. "Malcolm, are you serious? Vincent did this? Is he insane? Even if he's out of the family, if Grandpa calms down, he might have a chance to come back. Doing this is just plain cruel."
"He's been cruel all the time. Stay away from him. Actually, you probably won't see him again," Malcolm said, firm in his resolve.
Alyssa was confused. "Malcolm, what are you planning? You're not thinking of killing him, are you?"
"Do I look like someone who'd ruin myself for revenge?" Malcolm replied. He was a businessman and never made unprofitable deals.
Alyssa thought for a moment. "You're right. You don't seem like someone who'd ruin yourself."
Reese found the sibling banter amusing but knew they had to get serious.
"So, Malcolm, what's the plan?" Reese asked, eyes on him. She needed his strategy before making her own moves. If he couldn't decide, she would.
She wasn't letting Vincent off this time. He'd already crossed too many lines, including with Sophia.
Vincent had paid some dues but still held a grudge. A guy like him was bound for a clinic, not leadership. If he ran the Flynn Group, he'd ruin it in no time.
Malcolm's eyes gleamed with a plan. Reese could tell he had something up his sleeve.
"Justin and I have it figured out. You'll pretend to be gravely injured in the hospital. Vincent won't let you live, especially after spending so much money," Malcolm explained.
Reese's eyes lit up. "You're setting a trap for Vincent, right? Waiting for him to walk into it?"
Malcolm smiled, ruffling her hair. "Exactly. You get me. Soon, I won't even need to speak; you'll just know."
Alyssa, watching them, was confused. "What are you talking about? How does this make Vincent dig his own grave? We haven't done anything."
"If we did something, it wouldn't be him digging his own grave," Malcolm said, concerned she didn't get it.
Alyssa finally caught on. "So, you want Vincent to come after Reese himself, then we can send him to prison?"
Now she understood why Malcolm said she might not see Vincent again. If this worked, he’d be gone for years.
From a family perspective, she hoped Vincent would stop before it was too late. But it was his choice. They couldn't control him.
Malcolm thought about all the chances he'd given Vincent. "I haven't even dealt with what he did to Grandpa. Now he's targeting Reese. We can't let him stick around," he said, determined.
Reese had no objections. She was firm and never showed kindness to those who wronged her. If someone hurt her once, they'd do it again.
After dealing with Vincent, Malcolm turned to Alyssa. "You should be careful too. If Vincent has no regard for family, he might come after you."
Alyssa's heart tightened. "Could he really be that heartless?"
