Chapter 554 Let Me End This For You

The men regarded Vincent with curious expressions, their eyes carrying a hint of disbelief. "Mr. Flynn, you‘re not saying you're unable to provide the funds, do you?"

Vincent was very annoyed at this point, yet these people were still talking nonsense. He glared at the men fiercely. "If it weren't for you, would I need to be running for my life now? And you have the nerve to question me here."

Had Vincent been aware of the incompetence of these individuals beforehand, he would have undoubtedly sought out more capable allies. Trusting them now seemed like a dangerous gamble, akin to inviting certain doom.

Vincent checked with the bank, and the bank informed him, "Sorry, Mr. Flynn, your bank account has been frozen."

Vincent was shocked. "What did you say?"

"Sorry, we just checked, and it was indeed frozen, about half an hour ago," the bank staff replied.

Vincent's rage boiled over as he smashed a teacup and jumped up, his face a mask of fury.

'It has to be Malcolm,' he growled silently. 'Who else would freeze my assets under the Flynn name?'

Fortunately, Vincent had always kept a backup plan for himself; otherwise, he would really be at a dead end now.

He was about to transfer money from his own card to these useless people. Even if they hadn't killed Reese, he couldn't just kill them; otherwise, he might not even make it out the door. But what he didn't expect was that even his own card showed an anomaly and couldn't be used. He called customer service, but to no avail; customer service didn't know what was going on either.

At that moment, Vincent received a call from an unknown number. He hesitated for a long time but finally answered, "Who is this?"

"Vincent, have you realized now that you're penniless and can't go anywhere?"

Vincent frowned as he shouted, "Reese!"

"Don't you know I'm also a hacker? Making your card unusable is a piece of cake. But I found out that your Flynn family cards are also frozen; that must be my husband's doing." Reese's voice was calm but carried a hint of coldness.

Vincent's grip on the phone tightened. "Are you guys crazy?" These two must be out of their minds, one freezing his Flynn family cards and the other targeting his personal cards.

Reese sneered, "We're not crazy; I think you're the one who's lost it. Sending people to kill me in the hospital, you must think too highly of yourself. And just so you know, my injury? It's a walk in the park, not as severe as they made it out to be. You should've figured that out by now."

Those people must have gone back and reported Vincent everything. Vincent wasn't stupid; he must have understood that this was all a setup to trap him.

Vincent was on the brink of losing his cool; Reese was definitely pushing all the right buttons intentionally! He bellowed furiously into the phone, "You're all out of your minds,, all of you! Trying so hard to get rid of me just to secure the CEO position of the Flynn Group? I've contributed a lot to the Flynn family over the years, and this is how you repay me?"

Reese couldn't help but laugh at Vincent's self-righteous words. "Vincent, you think too highly of yourself. The Flynn Group's success has nothing to do with you. The current status of Flynn family is all thanks to Aiden and the previous elders. Your actions only harm the Flynn family."

People like Vincent used to pat themselves on the back for their supposed contributions, but truth be told, they often hadn't lifted a finger to help and might have actually stirred up quite a bit of trouble for everyone else.

She didn't want to waste more words on Vincent. He had already crossed a line, and conversing with him at this point would be as effective as speaking to a wall.

"Vincent, you can't run away now. And Nolan, selling guns to you is illegal. You will all face legal consequences. Everyone has to pay for their actions, no exceptions!" Reese said.

With that, she hung up the phone. Now it was up to Vincent to either turn himself in or remain stubborn. This was his test.

This outcome was indeed unexpected. Reese had thought she would need to get dirt on Nolan from Everhart, but it turned out to be unnecessary. Just catching Nolan selling guns to Vincent was enough to send him to jail.

Vincent was now in complete panic. His accounts were frozen, and even his own card couldn't be used. Malcolm and Reese were too ruthless. He could only seek help from others, hoping to borrow some money.

Vincent planned to think of a way on the road. Since Reese and Malcolm were on guard, he couldn't take a plane or train but a private car.

As he packed his things, the men beside him were stunned. "Mr. Flynn, you haven't given us our money yet," one of the men asked.

Gloom clouded Vincent's face. "I can't give you a penny right now. The police will be here soon. If you want, you can stay here."

The men panicked. They all had criminal records and had taken many lives. If the police caught them, they would spend the rest of their lives in prison. Compared to money, they chose their lives.

"This is bad luck. If we had known, we wouldn't have taken this job. We've never been caught by anyone, but this time we met our match."

"Let's run now. If the police come, none of us will escape."

Soon, the men fled without asking for a penny. Vincent had just reached the door when the police surrounded him. There was no chance to escape. He saw the men who had tried to flee earlier were already subdued by the police.

Malcolm and Reese approached Vincent. Malcolm's gaze was icy, and even in the midst of the bright sunshine, he emitted a palpable sense of coldness.

Vincent felt humiliated seeing Malcolm, and his face grew even darker. He glanced at Reese and Malcolm and snorted, "Are you here to laugh at me?"

Malcolm replied, "Isn't this the joke you willingly let us see?"

If Vincent had just worked diligently at the clinic without such ambition, knowing his limits, he wouldn't be in this situation.

What Malcolm couldn't tolerate was that Vincent's ambition had led him to harm others, which was unacceptable.

Vincent, however, remained obstinate. He perceived Malcolm and Reese's arrival as a mere attempt to mock him. Despite his reluctance to engage in further arguments, Vincent made it clear that he had not conceded defeat. Through narrowed eyes filled with animosity, he warned Malcolm, "This isn't the end. Yes, I may have sent individuals, but as Reese remains unharmed, I can only be accused of attempted assault."

As long as it wasn't life imprisonment or the death penalty, he still had a chance. He couldn't give up now.

Malcolm sneered, his gaze piercing through Vincent. "Even now, you're still delusional. Since reasoning with you seems futile, let me end this for you."
