Chapter 100 Fire

Before long, Anna showed up at The Russell Villa with Sophia and Henry in tow.

"George, you can't keep doing this!" Anna pleaded. "Emma's gone. You're just hurting yourself more!"

"Get out! I don't want to hear any of you!" George's outburst left everyone in shock.

His eyes had this wild look, like he'd lost all sense.

"You're just going to break your grandfather's heart!" Anna tried to appeal to his family side, but George just coldly ordered everyone out of the villa.

"All of you, get out! I don't want to see anyone!" His voice was desperate and angry.

Charles stood outside, cursing up a storm. "You shameless bastard! Now you regret it? What were you doing before? Give me back Emma!"

But George couldn't hear any of it. Whether it was insults or concern, it didn't matter to him.

To him, Emma was everything.

Late at night, the villa was just George and the crystal coffin. He sat quietly beside it, gently stroking Emma's lips through the glass.

If only fairy tales were real, he wished he could wake her with a kiss.

"Emma, you're so beautiful," he whispered, tears falling onto the coffin.

Meanwhile, behind the surveillance cameras, Mia, Ethan, and Billy were cursing. "None of them can get George out of there."

They had no choice but to go with Plan B.

Under the cover of night, they snuck into The Russell Villa. They moved like shadows, silently approaching.

"We need to hurry; Emma might not hold on much longer," Mia whispered. Even with a solid plan, she couldn't shake the worry about things going wrong.

"Don't worry, I'm ready." Ethan nodded, holding a vial of potion, ready to use it on George when the time came.

"We gotta be careful." Billy added, scanning the surroundings.

They knew George was on edge, and any slip-up could be disastrous.

They slipped into the villa, the air thick with tension.

"Hurry, find Emma's crystal coffin!" Ethan whispered, guiding them to the room where it was kept.

As they got closer, George's figure came into view. He sat beside the coffin, looking like he was talking to the dead.

"Found it! Move!" Mia whispered, giving the signal.

Moonlight streamed through the curtains into George's bedroom, making the room feel eerie and silent.

Billy crept into the bedroom, holding a bottle of hallucinogenic spray.

He felt a bit anxious; this was his first time doing something illegal.

Billy gently sprayed the mist into the air, the scent slowly spreading like a fog enveloping the room.

He waited quietly until George's eyes began to glaze over, his mind becoming foggy. At that moment, George seemed completely unaware of the danger around him, his eyes filled with confusion.

Meanwhile, Mia slipped into Emma's clothes, checking herself out in the mirror. If she could make George believe she was Emma, they'd be halfway there.

Mia knocked on the door, imitating Emma's voice. "George, are you in there? I'm back."

Her voice was so spot-on that it startled Billy, almost making him inhale the hallucinogenic gas. He quickly checked the crystal coffin to make sure the real Emma was still inside.

Mia's voice was so convincing that even a clear-headed Billy was almost fooled, let alone the dazed George.

Under the influence of the hallucination, George stumbled out of the bedroom. Mia approached him, softly calling, "George."

Her voice was gentle and kind, just like Emma's.

George slowly walked towards her, a mix of confusion and hope on his face. "Emma, is that really you?"

"Yes, I'm back," Mia said, starting to walk out of the villa.

George tried to grab her, but Mia dodged him. She didn't speak or look back, just quietly walked outside.

And George followed her, step by step.

"Emma, don't leave. Stay with me, okay?" George mumbled, lost in his daze. "I love you. I love you so much."

Mia smiled on the outside but cursed him in her heart.

"George, I've always been by your side, but I won't come back. Because I hate you. I hate you for making me suffer so much." Her words cut deep into George's heart.

"I'll change everything. Just give me another chance to love you, please?" George continued, desperate.

Mia couldn't care less about his pleas.

"I only wish never to see you again."

With that, Mia left The Russell Villa. George, under her spell, followed her out without a fight.

On the wide street, Mia and George stood facing each other.

At that moment, Ethan snuck into the villa. He quickly set the place on fire, the flames rising instantly, swallowing the entire villa.

The fire lit up the night sky, casting shadows of Mia and George.

Mia saw the villa consumed by flames, knowing their plan was almost complete. She led George further down the road.

Mia soon crossed the street, with George trailing behind. But then, a kid on a bicycle suddenly appeared, struggling to keep his balance.

He accidentally swerved and crashed into George, knocking him to the ground.

The street erupted into chaos. An ambulance arrived soon, taking the fallen George away.

In his daze, he seemed to see the towering flames. But his scattered thoughts couldn't connect the fire to The Russell Villa.

He struggled to stand, wanting to chase after the long-gone Emma, but the paramedics strapped him to the ambulance. He thought of that Christmas Eve, with Emma running around by his side.
