Scarlett sent a car to pick him up and took him directly to The Russell Mansion.
She had arranged a party, inviting friends and family to celebrate George's recovery.

Anna had been publicly humiliated, and they clearly couldn't accept such a situation.

"We are merely defending Anna's rights," Sophia said resolutely. "You know very well how much she has done for you, but now you are abandoning her for Isabella. We will not accept a son-in-law like you! And the Russell Group can forget about any more favors from us!"
