Chapter 200 Drink it

Emma picked up the wine glass from the table and slowly walked towards Anna.

"Since you say it's not poisoned, then drink it yourself."

"I absolutely won't drink it!" Anna screamed in terror. Damn Isabella, how dare she do this to her!

"You have to drink it to prove your innocence!" Emma's voice was firm. "If you don't drink it, it means you're guilty!"

Anna struggled desperately, but Oscar held her wrist tightly, forcing her to stay still.

"Let go of me! I won't drink it!" Anna shouted angrily.

Olivia, who had been pushed to the crowd, squeezed her way in. Seeing Anna being humiliated, she felt angry.

She pulled at Oscar like a shrew. No matter how much Olivia went crazy, he could still control Anna without moving.

Seeing no other way, Olivia sat on the ground and started to wail.

"All you do is bully us! Isabella, you shameless mistress, how dare you act so arrogantly?"

Emma coldly turned to Olivia and asked, "You don't want her to drink it, do you?"

Olivia ignored her and continued to wail. Emma then ordered Oscar to release Anna and instead restrain Olivia, pinching her jaw and trying to pour the wine into her mouth.

Some kind-hearted guests couldn't bear to watch anymore and urged Emma to let Olivia go. But George, who had been silent, stepped in front of Emma and defent her.

"George, even you don't believe me! I really didn't poison anyone!" Anna's heart was filled with despair, but she still refused to admit it.

"Still not admitting?" Emma asked with a cold smile. "It seems we have to call the police. Oscar!"

"Wait, Isabella." George stepped forward, stopping Emma from calling the police. "Do me a favor and don't call the police, okay?"

"But she tried to kill me." Emma's eyes were filled with rage. She pointed at Anna, looking incredulously at George. "She's a criminal. Why should I let her go? Do you know I almost died?"

Emma had thought that after all this time, she would at least have a place in George's heart. But she didn't expect that George would reveal his love and reluctance for Anna.

If one day Anna were to destroy the world, would George still think she was right and ask everyone to forgive her?

Unfortunately, Emma was no longer the Emma who could be easily bullied.

If Anna wanted to hurt her, she would have to pay the price!

George's promise made Emma laugh coldly. "I promise, it won't happen again. As long as I'm here, no one will hurt you."

"Is your promise worth anything?" Emma asked.

George said, "It will be valid for a lifetime."

Emma had received George's promises before. When she was young, she believed in these promises and remembered them to this day.

But George had long forgotten his promises. In his heart, promises had different levels of importance. The promises made to Anna were far more important than those made to Emma.

Now George was making another promise to her. How did this promise compare to the ones made to Anna?

Emma didn't want to guess. She was already disgusted by George's promises.

"So what do you want me to do? Just let her go?" Emma asked coldly.

George looked at Anna, then turned back to Emma. "I will make her pay for what she did, but not by sending her to jail. She is Lucas's mother. I can't let her affect Lucas."

Emma laughed instantly. So George knew that jail could have a bad impact on someone.

Yet years ago, they had resolutely sent her to prison and subjected her to all kinds of humiliation there.

What did George say back then?

When she was finally released from prison, George made her kneel in the rain all night. All the suffering and pain she endured, she wanted them to experience it all.

Now, Anna's attempted crime, even if she were sentenced, she wouldn't carry a heavy penalty. With Sophia and Henry pulling strings behind the scenes, it would likely be a suspended sentence, and Anna would still live well.

If Emma handed Anna over to George and let him personally torment her. Anna would be even more heartbroken, which was what Emma wanted.

So now Emma only wanted one thing: George properly punished Anna.

Emma pretended to be aggrieved, lowering her head, a hint of helplessness flashing in her eyes.

"Fine, I won't call the police, but how will you compensate me? I almost got killed by your precious Anna."

Precious Anna, why did Isabella use that term too?

He was wrong. His feelings for Anna were not love but a vague crush from his youth. Now he realized he loved Emma, and also Isabella.

Seeing the pity in George's eyes, Emma knew her plan had succeeded. She wanted George to think she had suffered greatly for him, so he would be willing to compensate her.

George coldly ordered, "Take Ms. Stuart away, confine her at home, and don't let her go out."

As soon as he finished speaking, two burly security guards stepped forward, expressionlessly grabbing Anna's arms. She struggled in terror, her heart filled with despair. "Where are you taking me? Let go of me! George, you can't do this!"

"Stop talking and come with us," the security guard responded coldly, dragging her towards the door without mercy.

At that moment, Olivia rushed over, her eyes full of urgency and anger. "Stop! You can't do this to her! George, she's your fiancée!"

The security guards paused, turning to George.

George ordered, "She hasn't been for a long time. Take her away."

"Get it." The security guards gave Olivia a disdainful smile and continued dragging Anna.

Olivia's heart sank. She fought back her fear and grabbed Anna's hand. "Anna, don't be afraid. I'll protect you!"

However, the security guards ignored her and forcefully dragged Anna outside. Olivia desperately threw herself at them, trying to stop them, but her strength was insignificant.

Anna was also escorted away by the security guards.

As for where she was taken, no one knew.
