Chapter 201 The Conspiracy Resurfaces

Anna and Olivia were grounded.

Although they were well-fed and well-taken care of, their freedom was restricted.

"When you reflect on your actions, you can come out." George glanced coldly at Olivia. How blind he must have been to think Olivia was a gentle and good mother.

Perhaps, to Anna, she was indeed a good mother, but to Emma, she was a demon.

But he used to think that if the Russell family was against Emma, it must have been Emma's fault.

He even made Emma reflect on her own mistakes!

Was he hypnotized by Anna before, losing his self-awareness?

"George, it's fine if you keep me locked up, but please, let my mom go! She's so old that she just can't handle it anymore!"

Anna screamed heart-wrenchingly. George, unable to bear the disturbance, had to release Olivia.

"Don't try any tricks." George left a warning and walked away without looking back.

The bodyguard opened the door, and Olivia, despite her cursing, reluctantly left Anna. They couldn't both be locked up here; she had to go out and avenge Anna!

This time, she would make sure Isabella couldn't recover!

Emma was also taking action. She and Elizabeth found a college classmate of Anna's and bribed them heavily to persuade others to organize a class reunion.

The venue for the reunion was the largest and most luxurious Lakeside Retreat Inn in Lakeside Haven.

Emma and Elizabeth changed into waiter uniforms early and entered the reserved private room to set the table.

Before long, the invited classmates arrived one after another, chatting noisily in the private room until the dishes were served, and then they quieted down a bit.

The people attending the reunion were carefully selected by Emma and Elizabeth, all of whom had good relationships with Anna in the past, with one even being Anna's follower, Willow Reed.

These people surely knew a lot about what Anna did in college.

Today, they planned to make these people talk and get information about Anna.

Having not seen each other for years, everyone was a bit reserved at the beginning of the banquet. As they got tipsy, and their minds became less clear.

Under the deliberate guidance of certain people, a chubby guy started mumbling about the past.

"Who would have thought Anna was such a vicious person." Apparently, this chubby guy had seen the recent news about Anna.

"Exactly, I always thought she was a particularly kind and pure girl. You guys don't know, she was my crush back then, but I didn't even dare to pursue her."

"Me too. I didn't even dare to have erotic dreams about her, but who would have thought." The person sighed.

At this moment, Willow, who had been silent, sneered contemptuously, "It's all strategy! She's the best at deceiving people! You guys have no idea how ruthless Anna is."

"There's more to it? Tell us." Emma's informant quickly asked, still wearing a curious expression. The others were also intrigued and gathered around.

"In freshman year, she was already a mistress to an old man." Willow boasted, "She even danced suggestively online, but she wore a mask and wasn't very popular, so not many people knew."

"How do you know that?"

"Of course I know! I did so many dirty things for her! Damn it, I even took the blame for her many times!" Willow angrily said.

At this moment, a few classmates suddenly realized, "Yeah, I remember now. Back then, there were rumors in the school that you were a Madam, specifically getting classmates to be mistresses for old men. Wasn't that Anna's doing?"

Willow contined, "Who else could it be!"

The chubby guy asked, "Did you willingly take the blame for her?"

"I didn't want to either! If it weren't for my family's poverty and inability to pay tuition, would I have to flatter her every day?" Willow replied.

"You've had it tough too." The chubby guy sighed repeatedly, "But our class had it pretty tough overall. Do you know what the school said about our year?"

Other classmates asked, "What happened?"

He added, "They called us the 'Death Class of '68!' They said too many students from our year died."

"Are you talking about Aurora, who jumped off a building?"

"Not just her. Think carefully, didn't you all have classmates who died? I saw the school's statistics; out of over 2,000 people in our year, 43 died." As he spoke, his voice grew quieter, and he glanced at Emma and Elizabeth uneasily. Seeing them busy arranging the tableware and not paying attention to the conversation, he continued, "I heard they all died unnatural deaths!"

Emma and Elizabeth perked up their ears, listening intently.

"Some say that when those students died, their internal organs were hollowed out." He paused, "Do you think these deaths could be related to Anna?"

The room fell silent.

Most people's faces turned pale with horror.

Only Willow's face showed a hint of unnaturalness, clearly knowing something but not speaking. Some noticed Willow's expression, but everyone was too drunk to pay much attention to these old matters.

Emma and Elizabeth exchanged glances, immediately and tacitly setting their next plan.

Before the gathering ended, Willow found an excuse to go to the bathroom and left the private room. Emma and Elizabeth guessed she was trying to slip away early, so they changed into casual clothes and followed her.

They saw Willow call a taxi as soon as she left the hotel.

They followed closely behind. The taxi drove through the bustling city and finally stopped in a dark slum.

The taxi door opened, the driver got out, but Willow was nowhere to be seen.

"Where did she go? When did she get out?" Elizabeth asked in a low voice, her eyes showing unease.

They almost simultaneously thought of the moment earlier when a bus had blocked their view of Willow's taxi.

If Willow got out, it must have been then.

Now Willow was their only lead, and they had to figure it out.

"I'll go ask the taxi driver." Elizabeth said, about to get out of the car.

"No!" Emma quickly grabbed her, "If the driver is in cahoots with Willow, acting rashly will only alert them."

Then they decided not to leave or take any action, but to quietly observe the taxi's movements. The taxi driver looked around the slum streets, seemingly waiting for something.

Emma's car was parked in the driver's blind spot, so he didn't see their car. He just smoked a cigarette, waiting for something unknown.
