Chapter 422 Humiliation
Sophia shot Phoenix a cold glance, her voice dripping with authority. "Phoenix, I put up with you because of Scarlett. But now? I don't give a damn about Scarlett, let alone you. Watch your behavior. My Emma isn't someone you can push around."
Sophia's words were ice-cold.
Phoenix felt a wave of panic, but her eyes quickly turned steely. With Kieran backing her, she figured she didn't need to worry about Scarlett or Sophia. So, she decided to stop trying to win her over.
With a sneer, Phoenix's voice oozed sarcasm. "Mrs. Stuart, at your age, you still doll up every day to catch men's eyes. It's almost impressive. But no matter what you do, you can't change the fact that you lost your kid. For years, Anna played you like a fiddle, and you couldn't even recognize your own daughter. It's pathetic!"
Sophia's face darkened instantly. "Phoenix, cut the crap. How dare you?"
Phoenix laughed even more arrogantly, her tone sharp and cutting. "Really? Mrs. Stuart, have you forgotten? You treated Anna like your own daughter for years, and what happened? She was a fraud! You couldn't even recognize your own flesh and blood, and you still have the nerve to act all high and mighty?"
Sophia was trembling with anger, her fingers tightly clutching her dress. She coldly ordered, "Shut up! Security! Get this woman out of here!"
The store staff immediately called for security, but Phoenix pulled out a Super VIP card from her bag and waved it triumphantly in front of Sophia. "Mrs. Stuart, I'm now a Super VIP at Lunora, higher than your membership level. Do you think the security will listen to you or to me?"
The security guards hesitated upon seeing Phoenix's Super VIP card, standing still and unsure of what to do.
Phoenix's smile grew even more smug, her voice filled with undisguised glee. "Mrs. Stuart, you and Emma should leave. This isn't a place for you."
Sophia's face turned livid with rage, but she was momentarily at a loss for words. She hadn't expected Phoenix to be so brazen.
Emma looked at Phoenix coldly, a hint of frost in her eyes. "Phoenix, are you sure you want to do this?"
Phoenix scoffed, her tone full of mockery. "Emma, who do you think you are? Just some trash George threw away. Do you think you can challenge me? Get lost and stop embarrassing yourself!"
Emma smirked, her eyes carrying a cold, meaningful glint. "Phoenix, you'll regret this soon."
Phoenix dismissed her with a laugh, her arrogance unrestrained. "Regret? Emma, are you kidding me? You think you can make me regret anything?"
At that moment, the store's PA system crackled to life. "Attention, esteemed customers, please be advised that Lunora's global chief designer, Eldon Foster, will be arriving shortly. Please cooperate with store arrangements."
Phoenix's eyes lit up with excitement upon hearing the announcement. "Eldon? He's the heart and soul of Lunora! I can't believe I get to see him today!"
She turned to Emma and Sophia, her voice dripping with scorn. "Are you still here? Do you want to embarrass yourselves even more?"
Emma gave her a calm look, a faint smile playing on her lips, her eyes cold. "Phoenix, are you sure you want us to leave?"
"Emma, stop pretending. Get out of here and stop being an eyesore!"
Just then, the store door opened, and a middle-aged man in a black suit, exuding elegance, walked in. He was none other than Eldon Foster, Lunora's global chief designer.
Phoenix immediately rushed over, a sycophantic smile on her face. "Mr. Foster, hello! I'm Phoenix, a Super VIP at Lunora. It's such an honor to meet you!"
Eldon gave her a brief nod before his gaze landed on Emma. His eyes lit up, and he quickly walked over to her, his voice filled with genuine delight. "Ms. Jones, you're here! I just received word that you'd be visiting. It's an absolute honor!"
Phoenix was stunned, her face turning pale. "What? Mr. Foster, you must be mistaken."
Eldon shot her a cold look, his voice tinged with displeasure. "Mistaken? Impossible. Ms. Jones is one of Lunora's most important partners. Did you just disrespect her?"
Phoenix's face went white, and she stammered, unable to form a coherent sentence.
Emma glanced at her coolly, a faint smile on her lips, her eyes icy. "Phoenix, do you still want us to leave?"
Phoenix lowered her head, her face flushed with embarrassment, wishing she could disappear.
Eldon looked at her sternly, his voice authoritative. "Ms. Lewis, your Super VIP status is hereby revoked. Please leave immediately and never set foot in our store again."
Phoenix's face turned a deep shade of red, and she clearly didn't expect things to escalate this far. She gritted her teeth, her eyes flashing with discontent and anger. She suddenly sneered, her voice challenging. "Revoke my VIP status? Eldon, have you forgotten that I have the spending power? If you don't appreciate my business, I'll buy out everything in your store! Let's see if you're really that tough, turning down money!"
Eldon frowned. "Ms. Lewis, Lunora's products are not for petty squabbles. Please don't cause a scene here."
Phoenix raised her voice, undeterred. "What? Isn't your store here to sell things? I want to buy now, and you refuse to sell? Is this how you treat customers?"
Eldon was about to respond, but Emma gently stopped him, her voice calm. "Eldon, if Ms. Lewis is so sincere, let her buy. After all, business takes precedence."
Eldon paused, then nodded respectfully. "As you wish, Ms. Jones."
Phoenix felt even more irritated but forced herself to say, "Stop pretending to be the good guy! I don't need your help!"
