Chapter 131 Hospitalization
Anna stormed back home, fuming with anger at Isabella and Charlotte.
The moment she got in, she made a beeline for the kitchen and poured herself a glass of water. After downing it, she felt a wave of drowsiness hit her. She shrugged off her coat, climbed into bed, and was out like a light.
When she woke up, something felt off. She touched her face and noticed her skin felt weird. Rushing to the mirror, she let out a scream.
Her face was covered in bright red pustules, glistening in the sunlight and making her feel sick. Her face went pale, and her eyes filled with fear and pain.
"What the hell is this?" she screamed, her voice full of despair. She slapped her face, trying to get rid of the pustules, but it didn't work. The stinging pain from her fingers touching the pustules made her even more frantic.
"How did this happen to me?" Anna's voice turned hysterical, tears streaming down her face. She couldn't accept what she was seeing. She started pacing around the room like a trapped animal.
"It must be that Charlotte who did this to me!" she roared, trying to vent all her anger.
Her mind was a mess of jealousy and rage towards Isabella. She couldn't understand why she had to suffer while Isabella stayed perfect. Just then, Sophia heard Anna's screams and rushed over.
Seeing Anna's face, she took a step back in shock, which only made Anna angrier. Anna even started to resent Sophia, whose face was smoother than hers.
Sophia quickly realized how serious this was and tried to comfort her, "Anna, don't worry, we'll go to the hospital right away!"
But Anna was already losing it, unable to hear Sophia. Grabbing handfuls of her hair, she began to pace the room, her eyes wild and frenzied, "I can't be like this!"
"I have to make her pay!" she said with crazed determination, secretly vowing revenge on Isabella.
Seeing Anna so out of control, Sophia got anxious and grabbed her hand, trying to get her out of the room.
But Anna had lost her mind, struggling and swinging her arms, angrily slapping Sophia. "Don't touch me! You don't understand how I feel right now!"
Sophia was stunned by the slap, her heart aching, but she knew she couldn't back down. She tried to stay calm and kept persuading her. "Anna, I know you're in pain, but we have to go to the hospital. The doctors will help you."
Anna's eyes flashed with madness, her resentment towards Sophia peaking.
At that moment, Henry came home. Seeing the chaos, he frowned and quickly walked over, trying to calm Anna down. "Anna, don't be like this. We're here to help you."
But Anna had completely lost it. She swept all the expensive cosmetics off the table, grabbed a chair, and smashed it into the mirror, shattering it instantly. The shards of glass scattered on the floor cut her bare feet.
Henry panicked and immediately called security. He knew he and Sophia couldn't handle Anna alone. The security team arrived quickly, and several people surrounded and restrained Anna.
"Let go of me! Don't touch me!" Anna struggled frantically, but her arms were firmly held by several people.
"We just want to help you, Ms. Stuart."
Finally, with the combined efforts of Henry and the security team, Anna was forcibly controlled and taken to the hospital.
Anna was quickly wheeled into the treatment room. Her intense emotions and constant thrashing made it impossible for the medical staff to treat her properly.
"We need to sedate her," the attending doctor said calmly, clearly prepared for such a situation. The nurses quickly got the medication ready.
"Don't touch me! I don't want an injection! You're all bad people! Are you in cahoots with Emma, trying to kill me together?" Her voice was filled with despair, tears streaming down her face.
Her fingers gripped the edge of the bed tightly, as she tried to resist, but her arms were strapped down.
"Anna, listen to the doctor," Henry said, trying to comfort her, his heart aching with helplessness. He didn't know what was wrong with Anna.
She seemed to have gone mad, but she was always the sweetest, most well-behaved girl.
'Who did this to Anna? Is it Isabella, the woman who looks like Emma? Anna, don't worry, I won't let Isabella bully you!' Henry thought.
The doctor quickly inserted the needle into Anna's arm. As the sedative slowly took effect, Anna's body gradually relaxed, and her consciousness began to blur.
"Isabella, I hate you," she muttered weakly, tears still streaming down her cheeks. It must have been that day in the dressing room when Isabella drugged her.
The doctors and nurses began examining Anna's face, carefully observing the red pustules. After a preliminary diagnosis, the doctor found that Anna's skin reaction might be due to an allergy.
But the allergen didn't seem to be the cosmetics; it was something ingested.
As the treatment proceeded, the doctor began cleaning her face, using anti-inflammatory medication.
Meanwhile, back at the Stuart Villa, a cleaning lady was quietly busy. Her movements were light and swift, the brush in her hand gliding through the sink, making a slight sound. Her eyes had a hint of something sinister.
She carefully washed the cup, ensuring no evidence was left behind.
"Anna, you must be in a lot of pain now. How dare you take Molly's place?" She hunched over, a cold smile on her lips. This cleaning lady was the same person who splashed blood on Emma's grave that day.
She murmured, "Anna, you're as hateful as Emma. I'll make your pride vanish."
