Chapter 268 Not Biological

"The nurse told me everything. When Sophia had that surgery mishap, it was Emma who donated blood and saved her life. You refused to save your own mother! But you told us it was you who saved Sophia! All these years, you've been taking our money to support those leeching adoptive parents of yours! I knew everything! I mistakenly thought you were kind-hearted and wanted to repay them. But you just treat us as your ATM!"

Anna saw no reason to hide the truth anymore.

"That's right; I never treat you as my parents! You owe me!" Anna glanced nervously at Emma, who remained silent, and continued her fabrication. "You lost me when I was a child, leaving me suffer for years while you lived comfortably. Why should I care about you?"

"It was our fault that we lost you. What did Molly do wrong? She used to be your friend. Why did you kill her?" Henry's heart ached as he heard Anna's true feelings for the first time.

He never imagined that the daughter he cherished and tried to compensate would be so ungrateful.

Anna shouted, "She took everything that was supposed to be mine, so she had to pay with her life!"

"I can't believe I gave birth to such a heartless monster!" Sophia felt a mix of anger and sorrow intertwine, making it almost impossible to breathe. Her vision blurred, the sounds around her faded, and her body gave out.

"Mom!" Anna's voice echoed in her ears, but Sophia could no longer hear it. Her body, overwhelmed by the emotional turmoil, collapsed onto the bed.

"Sophia!" Henry shouted, rushing to catch her, but it was too late. The room's atmosphere turned tense and chaotic as Emma and the bodyguards quickly gathered around.

"Call a doctor!" Henry yelled, filled with anxiety and fear. He knew Sophia's collapse was not just physical but emotional as well.

Anna tried to help Sophia, but Henry shoved her away. "Get out! I don't have a daughter like you!"

Anna lay on the floor, her face covered in scratches and dirt. She glared at Henry, her eyes burning with anger and despair. A bitter smile played on her lips, silently accusing him of being a terrible father.

The doctors quickly attended to Sophia, while the police prepared to take Anna away.

"I don't want to go!" Anna suddenly grabbed George's arm, tears in her eyes, her voice trembling. "Please help me! I can't go back, please! I just can't!"

George stared at her with a cold expression. His feelings were a mix of disgust and helplessness.

"Let go!" he said firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument.

As Anna clung to his arm, George shoved her away, sending her sprawling on the floor, groaning in pain, her face full of despair and helplessness.

George turned away, unwilling to look at her again, his disgust for her reaching its peak.

At that moment, Emma stepped forward, helping Anna up.

"Please wait!" Emma said to the police, her voice pleading. "Her mother is still being treated inside. Can you wait a little longer before taking her away?"

The police exchanged glances, clearly troubled by Emma's request. "We have to follow procedure. She needs to go back to prison for trial," one officer responded coldly.

George paused, puzzled by Isabella's intervention, but he would support whatever she did.

George returned, shielding Emma, and quickly made a phone call.

Five seconds after he hung up, the police officer's phone rang. Following orders from their superior, the police had no choice but to delay taking Anna away.

"Alright, we'll wait until Sophia wakes up before we take her."

Emma and Anna waited in the hallway, with George staying to accompany Emma, though he kept his distance from Anna, not even sparing her a glance. Anna dared not approach, only casting pitiful looks his way.

George remained unmoved.

Emma stayed partly out of concern for Sophia, but mostly because she wanted to watch the drama unfold.

Sophia had only fainted from emotional shock and soon regained consciousness with the medical staff's help. Emma quietly sent a text message and then asked George to get some water.

Soon, Jerry and Olivia stormed into the hospital hallway, cursing.

They immediately saw the disheveled Anna and the composed Emma. Connecting the message they had just received, they believed it was true. Sophia and Henry must have found out that Anna wasn't their biological daughter.

But so what if they knew? Anna wouldn't call them mom and dad for nothing; they had to compensate with a hefty sum!

"Anna, don't worry; I'll get justice for you!" Olivia's words stunned Anna. But before she could stop Olivia, whose loud voice shattered the silence.

"Sophia, Henry, you bastards! So what if Anna isn't your biological daughter? Are you not going to take care of her?"

Sophia and Henry were stunned. Anna wasn't their biological daughter? Had they been deceived again? Then why was the DNA test positive? How many lies had Anna told?
