Chapter 340 The End of the Game

Joseph's face darkened instantly. He spun around, a flicker of panic in his eyes. "Who the hell are you?"

Joshua didn't answer, just stared at him coldly. "Drop the weapon and give up."

Joseph let out a crazed laugh, his eyes wild. "You really think you can stop me?"

Before he finished speaking, he pulled a knife from his belt and lunged at Joshua. Joshua reacted quickly, sidestepping the attack and landing a punch to Joseph's belly. Joseph grunted, stumbling back a few steps.

The fight between them erupted fiercely in the cramped room, fists and feet flying, the knife glinting dangerously. Joseph's moves were vicious and swift, each strike carrying lethal intent, while Joshua remained calm, countering with agility and precision. They were evenly matched, neither gaining the upper hand.

As Joshua sparred with Joseph, he quickly formulated a plan. His eyes darted to Phoenix, who stood nearby, her expression conflicted, clearly torn. Joshua seized the moment, shouting, "Phoenix, you still have a chance to turn back! Help Lucas and Seraphine escape, and I promise Mr. Russell won't come after you!"

Phoenix's eyes flickered, clearly affected by Joshua's words. Her fingers trembled slightly, caught between fear and hope. She didn't want to live in constant fear anymore, but she knew betraying Joseph could be deadly.

Joseph noticed Phoenix's hesitation and barked, "Phoenix, don't be fooled! Remember what happened to Anna! She is imprisoned and about to be executed! Do you want to end up like her?"

Phoenix's face went pale, Anna's fate haunted her mind. She didn't want to die, especially not like Anna, tortured in despair. Her gaze hardened, fear outweighing her desire for freedom.

"I'm sorry, I can't take that risk," Phoenix said quietly, her voice resolute. She quickly pulled a rope from her pocket and approached Seraphine and Lucas.

Seraphine looked up at Phoenix, asking innocently, "Miss, are you going to play with us?"

Phoenix didn't answer, just gave her a cold look and swiftly tied their hands together. Lucas struggled, shouting, "Let us go! What are you doing?"

Phoenix's movements were quick and efficient, binding them tightly. She looked up at Joshua, her voice cold and determined. "Stop, or I'll kill them." She held a knife.

Joshua froze, slowly raising his hands. "Alright, I surrender."

Joseph laughed triumphantly as he moved to bind Joshua.

Joshua didn't resist, just stared coldly at Joseph and Phoenix, his eyes full of warning.

Eventually, Joshua, Seraphine, and Lucas were tied up together and thrown against the wall. Seraphine, still innocent, asked, "Lucas, why are they tying us up?"

Lucas, his eyes filled with anger, softly reassured her, "It's just a game of cops and robbers. It'll be over soon."

Joshua, bound against the wall, his hands tightly secured with rough rope, remained calm. He lowered his head slightly, his fingers subtly working at his sleeve. Hidden there was a tiny signal transmitter, one of his high-tech gadgets. He discreetly activated it, the signal transmitting at a frequency almost undetectable.

Meanwhile, George's watch vibrated lightly. He glanced down, seeing precise coordinates on the screen. His expression turned steely as he stood up and pressed the communicator on the table. "Guardians, assemble!"

Minutes later, the twelve guardians of the Russell family, previously dismissed by Charles, were fully armed and standing in formation before George.

George issued a brief command. "Head to the Lakeside Haven West Factory. Move quickly but stay hidden."

The guardians responded in unison, "Yes, sir!"

They set off swiftly, their vehicles speeding through the night towards the abandoned factory. George sat in the car, his eyes cold, silently praying, "Lucas, Seraphine, hold on."

Elsewhere, Emma and Mia drove a large truck, racing to the factory entrance. Emma's face was pale, her eyes filled with urgency and anger. She jumped out of the truck, rushing to Ethan at the gate. "Ethan, is Lucas in there? I need to get him out!"

Ethan was checking his locator device, the screen showing Lucas's signal. He looked up at Emma, his expression serious. "Emma, I understand how you feel, but rushing in blindly will only alert them. We've surrounded the factory and are planning our move."

Emma, nearly hysterical, grabbed Ethan's arm, her voice shaking. "I can't wait! That's my child! I have to go in!"

Mia stepped forward, her tone firm. "Ethan, let us in. We won't be a burden. You know what I can do."

Ethan frowned. "No! The factory is complicated inside. You going in will only increase the risk. Rescuing them is the guardians' job. You need to wait for news."

Desperation flashed in Emma's eyes. She shoved Ethan aside, running towards the factory door. "I don't care! I can't just stand by while my child is in danger!"

Ethan quickly blocked her, the two struggling at the entrance. Emma's strength was surprising, and Ethan found it hard to hold her back. He growled, "Emma, calm down!"

At that moment, an old, neglected screen on the factory's outer wall suddenly lit up. The bright blue light was striking in the night, displaying a line of text: "Welcome to the endgame."

Everyone froze, their eyes fixed on the screen. Emma stopped, her eyes wide with shock and confusion.

The screen switched to a dimly lit room. The three were tied up against the wall, their expressions varied. Joshua remained calm, Lucas was furious, and Seraphine asked innocently, "Lucas, is that camera filming us? Are we making a movie?"

Joseph's voice came from the screen, tinged with madness. "Welcome to my game, everyone. Want to save them? Then play by my rules."

Tears welled up in Emma's eyes as she stared at the screen, trembling with disbelief.

It was Lucas who was kidnapped; Seraphine was there too.

Both her children were captured!

George and the twelve guardians had quietly surrounded the factory, hidden in the shadows, observing the scene. George's eyes flicked to the lit screen, a cold determination in his gaze. "Lucas, Seraphine, hold on. I'm coming."
