Chapter 77 Paternity Test Report

Anna stood outside the car, while Emma was stuck inside. Anna had to tilt her head a bit to look at Emma, which really ticked her off. Emma should be groveling at her feet.

"Get her out," Anna snapped.

The guys holding Emma yanked her by the collar, practically choking her, and dragged her out of the car like she was dead weight.

Emma hit the cold ground hard, the wind slicing into her like knives. Blood oozed from her cuts, staining the dry grass. Her heart was pounding like crazy, and the pain was so intense it almost knocked the wind out of her.

But she knew she couldn't give up. She had to get that paternity test and see the results for herself!

"What do you want?" she croaked, her voice rough but determined, staring straight at Anna with a spark of defiance.

Anna stood there, smirking like she was watching some epic drama.

"Emma, you're so stupid, always asking me that. I've told you, don't mess with me, and don't try to prove anything, or I'll make your life a nightmare." Her words cut into Emma like a knife.

"I need to know if Sophia is really my mom!" Emma gritted her teeth, filled with rage and despair. Her fingers shook as she glared at the paternity test report in Anna's hand.

"Of course not. How could the Stuart Family have someone like you? I'm the only child of the Stuart Family. Got it?"

"Then why won't you let me see the test report?"

"Because it doesn't matter. No matter what it says, you're always gonna be a loser. We're in different leagues. The underdog never wins. Just give up. Wouldn't it be better to spend your last three months in peace?" Anna pressed her shoe against Emma's face, smearing mud into her wounds. She'd always wanted to ruin Emma's pretty face, and now she had. Emma wouldn't be able to seduce George anymore.

And Michael wouldn't be into Emma's face either.

Anna reveled in tormenting Emma, while the thugs she hired stood around, making sure Emma couldn't run.

The thugs looked at Anna with cold eyes, waiting for her orders but secretly cursing her cruelty.

Isolde took deep breaths, her companion's grip on her arm the only thing stopping her from rushing forward. Some of them just closed their eyes, pretending not to see.

Their reactions didn't faze Anna. Her eyes were bloodshot, veins popping out like she was a demon.

Emma felt a wave of fear, but a spark of determination flared up inside her. Anna hated her, but she hated Anna just as much.

Their eyes, filled with mutual hatred, locked onto each other.

"Beat her!" Anna ordered coldly, her eyes gleaming with malice.

The thugs hesitated for a second, then lunged at Emma, their fists raining down on her like a storm.

Each punch felt like a sledgehammer, the pain spreading like wildfire. Her vision started to blur, blood soaking her clothes. But a voice inside her kept screaming, 'Don't give up!'

Her eyes stayed glued to the paternity test report in Anna's hand.

Isolde smirked a bit, thinking, 'I can't do much, but I'll give you a shot at seeing that report. The rest is up to you.'

She slipped behind a tree, pulled out a slingshot, and fired a small stone, nailing Anna's hand.

Anna yelped, her hand shaking, and the paternity test report hit the ground. Emma's heart skipped a beat, hope flickering in her eyes.

'Grab it!' she urged herself, summoning all her strength to lunge forward. Her fingers brushed the papers, her heart pounding like crazy, as if time had frozen.

"How dare you!" Anna shrieked, rushing to snatch the report back. "Don't let her get it!"

The thugs lunged at Emma, but one of them loosened his grip, pretending to be bitten and quickly stepping back.

"Run!" he whispered, a hint of sympathy in his eyes.

Emma didn't hesitate. She broke free, snatched the report from the ground, her heart racing with excitement and fear. Her hands shook as she opened the paper.

Seeing the result felt like a lightning bolt, leaving her stunned. Tears streamed down her face, emotions crashing over her like a tidal wave. "I really am her daughter!"

"So what!" Anna screamed, her eyes wild with disbelief, like the universe was mocking her.

"So I have parents, but they hate me..." Emma's voice trembled, filled with endless sadness and despair.

She remembered how Henry and Sophia showered Anna with warmth, while giving her nothing but disdain.

They were blinded by Anna, showing Emma the greatest malice while lavishing all their love on the murderer Anna. They were not only blind but also foolish!

Her body trembled, blood still flowing, but a newfound strength ignited within her. She vowed to expose Anna in front of Sophia and Henry. She would make Anna's reputation crumble!

"Anna, I will tell my parents everything you've done! They are my parents, not your stepping stones!" Emma shouted hoarsely, but she was powerless against Anna. The henchmen quickly regained control, pinning her to the ground, rendering her immobile.

Anna personally retrieved the test report, and the flames from her lighter quickly consumed the dirt-stained papers. With that, Anna felt relieved and mocked Emma loudly.

"Go ahead. Do you think Sophia and Henry will even see you and believe you? They'd rather kill you." Anna brushed off imaginary dust from her hands. Suddenly she remembered something, and said with a sudden realization, "Oh, I really do hope you tell them."
