Chapter 381 Second Personality

"My head... it hurts so much!" She staggered backward, her eyes filled with pain. "Anna, no!"

Michael's expression changed as he said, "Emma, what's wrong?" He stepped forward to help her.

Sophia broke free from the crowd and rushed toward Emma. "Emma!"

Emma suddenly looked up, her expression completely changed. She pushed Michael away and retreated cautiously. "Who are you? Don't touch me!"

The room fell silent.

"Emma?" Michael looked at her in disbelief, his voice trembling. "It's me, Michael."

Emma glanced around, confused by the unfamiliar wedding venue. She looked down at her wedding dress and then her gaze landed on the injured George.

Her eyes changed instantly from confusion to terror and heartbreak. "George!" She rushed forward to support the staggering George. "How did you get hurt? Who did this to you?"

George force a smile. "Emma, is it really you?"

"Of course it's me, George. What are you talking about?" Emma urgently tore a piece of her wedding dress to press against his wound. "Hang in there, we're going to the hospital right now!"

Henry and Sophia finally broke through the chaotic crowd and reached Emma's side. Sophia gently touched Emma's shoulder. "Emma, are you okay?"

Emma looked up at Sophia and Henry, a hint of confusion in her eyes. "Mrs. Stuart?"

She looked around, bewildered. "Where am I? Why is George hurt?"

Sophia and Henry exchanged a complicated glance. Henry took a deep breath and spoke calmly. "Emma, don't you remember? This is your wedding with Michael."

"What?" Emma stared at Henry in shock, then turned to Michael.

Michael stood frozen, the light in his eyes gradually dimming. He looked at Mia and asked softly, "Is this Emma's second personality?"

Mia nodded with a complex expression. "It seems so. We don't know what triggered it, but her state matches exactly what Billy described. The second personality of Emma has memories from six years ago when she was deeply in love with George."

Emma gently touched George's pale face. "George, I'm sorry. I don't know what's happening, but I feel like I've been gone for a long time."

"It's okay, Emma." George weakly smiled. "As long as you're back."

Henry bent down to check George's wound, his brow furrowed. "The wound is deep. He needs to go to the hospital immediately."

Joshua had already called an ambulance when George got hurt.

Sophia gently stroked Emma's hair, her eyes full of concern. "Emma, no matter what happens, your father and I will support your decisions." She paused and lowered her voice. "But are you sure you want to go with George? Do you remember how he treated you before?"

Emma looked at Sophia, puzzled. "Mrs. Stuart, what are you talking about? George has always been good to me. He treated Anna well because he thought she was me. Once we cleared up the misunderstanding, George loved me wholeheartedly. I love him too. I just want to be with him."

Henry sighed and whispered to Sophia. "Sophia, her memory is incomplete. Now is not the time to question her. Let her calm down first."

Sophia nodded, still worried. She held Emma's hand tightly. "Emma, whatever you choose, we'll support you. But please promise me, if anything feels wrong, come home to us, okay?"

Emma couldn't quite pinpoint when she had grown so close to the Stuart family.

But she quickly turned her attention back to George. "George, hang in there. The ambulance will be here soon."

Michael stood there, feeling drained. He watched Emma focus entirely on George, his eyes filled with pain and frustration.

"Emma!" He called out softly, his voice barely audible.

The ambulance arrived, and the paramedics carefully lifted George, preparing to take him to the hospital. Emma stayed by his side, completely forgetting that this was supposed to be her wedding.

"Wait." Michael suddenly spoke.

Everyone turned to him. Michael walked to a nearby table, picked up a delicate wooden box, and slowly approached Emma.

"This is for you." He gently opened the box, revealing a beautiful gemstone pendant. "It's your wedding gift. No matter what, it belongs to you."

Emma took the box, puzzled. She looked at the pendant and then at Michael. "Thank you, but I can't accept it. And have we met before?"

Michael forced a smile and shook his head. "Maybe in another world." He looked at Emma deeply, his eyes full of longing.

Then he turned and walked away, his figure lonely and desolate.

When Emma's first personality returned, she would come back.

For now, he didn't want to upset Emma further.

Henry watched Michael's departing figure, a complex emotion in his eyes. He whispered to Sophia. "Michael truly loves Emma."

Sophia nodded, her eyes filled with sympathy. "Unfortunately, love can't be forced."

Emma's full attention was focused on George. She held George's hand tightly, her eyes full of concern and love. "George, you have to stay strong. I won't let you out of my sight again."

George weakly said, "Emma, my Emma, you're finally back."

Henry and Sophia stood there, watching Emma and George leave. Sophia couldn't help but shed tears. "Henry, do you think Emma will be happy?"

He gently hugged Sophia. "I don't know, Sophia. But it's her choice. All we can do is support her when she needs us." He paused. "Maybe George will truly change. For Emma's sake, I hope so."

Sophia nodded and wiped away her tears. "Yes, for Emma's sake, I hope so too."

Matt caught up with Michael. "Mr. Michael Russell, should we follow them?"

Michael shook his head. "No. Keep an eye on them discreetly and be ready to bring Emma home."

He let go of the white lily in his hand, letting it fall onto the red carpet, like his shattered dreams, silently wilting on this sunny day.

The wedding venue gradually emptied, leaving Michael alone in the place that was supposed to witness his happiness, surrounded by chaos and broken dreams.

At that moment, he couldn't help but question himself. After all the hardships, does Emma still hold onto George?
