Chapter 99 Did You Blind Her?

Mia's words hit George like a ton of bricks.

He just sat there on the ground, holding Emma's body, drowning in pain and despair. All he could hear was his own heavy breathing and the pounding of his heart.

He was terrified that if he let her go, Emma would be gone for good.

Seeing this, Mia got even more pissed.

"George, cut the crap! Give Emma back to me! She hated you! She didn't want to be with you, not even in death!" Mia's voice was sharp, ripping George's heart to shreds.

"You don't get it at all!" George shot back, his eyes blazing with anger and sadness. Mia's words only made it worse.

"No, you don't get it! If you cared about Emma even a little, you'd let her go!" Mia's eyes were full of contempt. She tried to push George away, but he wouldn't budge.

Just then, Anna showed up. Seeing George holding Emma's body, she pretended to comfort him. "George, let go! Emma's gone. How can she rest in peace if you keep holding her?"

"Get out."

"What did you say?" Anna couldn't believe it.

"He said get out! Didn't you hear?" Mia snapped.

Mia had had enough. She didn't care about Anna, and she'd curse Henry the same way if he were here!

"Anna, how dare you show up! Aren't you afraid your evil deeds will send you straight to hell?" Mia grabbed her collar, tearing a slit in her fancy dress, then yanked her hair, pulling her over.

Anna screamed in pain, trying to break free. But Mia yanked harder, making Anna's face twist in agony.

"Fine! Then die with Emma!" Mia roared, slamming Anna towards the wall.

Anna tried to escape, but Mia had her hair in a death grip.

"Let go! Are you nuts?" Anna was trembling, but Mia didn't stop. She yanked Anna's hair back, forcing her to bow and repent to Emma.

"You don't deserve to be here! I'll make you pay for what you've done!"

"Emma's messy life has nothing to do with me!" Anna finally dropped her act, mocking.

"Anna, that's all your slander?" Mia roared again.

Emma was dead, and Anna was still slandering her!

Mia grabbed a needle nearby, ready to stab Anna.

"Enough!"

George grabbed Mia's wrist.

Mia looked at George in disbelief. "She killed Emma, and you're still defending her! George, you bastard!"

"You two bastards should stay together forever and never come out to harm anyone again!" Mia said coldly, finally letting go and storming off, leaving Anna in a heap on the ground and George standing silently.

After Mia left, Anna slowly got up. What once was a graceful motion now looked pitiful, with her messy hair and torn clothes making her look like a beggar.

It was all an act. George closed his eyes but didn't help Anna up.

He thought of Emily as a child, unable to connect her with the crazed Anna before him. Sweet, kind, angelic Emily couldn't have turned into this.

"Anna, I'll ask you this once."

"What?" Anna felt a bad vibe.

"Did you blind Emma? Did you do something unforgivable to her behind my back?" George asked calmly.

Anna froze, then denied it fiercely. "I didn't! George, believe me! It was always Emma framing me. I stayed because I loved you too much."

George already knew the answer but didn't say it, leaving Anna a shred of dignity. After all, she was once the girl he cherished.

He didn't love her anymore, which was already a betrayal of his childhood. He couldn't hurt Anna further.

"I get it. You can go," George said indifferently, not looking at Anna, letting her stay in her sorry state.

If Sophia and Henry hadn't rushed over, Anna might have stayed on the floor much longer.

Anna glared angrily in the direction George left with Emma's body but eventually chose to leave.

'Emma, you want to take George from me even in death! But a dead person can never beat the living! As long as I'm here, your soul will never rest.' Anna thought maliciously.

George went home with Emma's body. He carefully placed her in a custom crystal coffin, the transparent coffin glowing coldly, like an icy prison.

"You must wait for me, Emma," he murmured, praying for her soul.

At this moment, he forgot hunger and fatigue, only wanting to guard her and this lost love.

As night fell, George sat by the crystal coffin, not eating or drinking, filled with regret and pain.

George didn't know that his every move was being watched through a hidden camera in the villa.

"Is he going to stay with Emma forever?" Mia asked.

"Then give him something to do, make him leave Emma," Ethan said.

"Okay."
