Chapter 346 Returning to Sunterra

The helicopter flew steadily through the night sky. Michael sat in the pilot's seat, focused on controlling the aircraft. His profile looked particularly handsome in the dim light of the instrument panel. Seraphine sat in the co-pilot's seat, excitedly looking ahead, her small hands gripping the control stick tightly, her eyes full of curiosity.

"Hey, Seraphine, wanna learn how to fly this thing?" Michael asked with a grin.

"Yes!" she exclaimed.

"Alright, check this out," Michael pointed to a button on the instrument panel. "If you want the helicopter to go higher, just press this button gently. But don't press too hard, okay?"

Seraphine nodded and carefully pressed the button. The helicopter rose slightly, and she immediately laughed with joy. "Daddy, I did it!"

Michael smiled and patted her head. "Great job! You're a natural, kiddo."

Emma sat in the back, watching the scene with mixed emotions. Michael's gentleness and patience with Seraphine gave her some comfort, but her thoughts were interrupted by the destination information on the navigation screen.

Although she had always said she wanted to leave Lakeside Haven, now that she was actually on the helicopter heading to Sunterra, she felt reluctant.

Was it the Stuart family she couldn't leave behind? Or was it George?

Emma didn't dare to think further.

No matter the reason, she knew one thing for sure: she wasn't ready to leave Lakeside Haven.

She shook her head. "No, Michael. I can't go to Sunterra. George and I aren't officially divorced yet. I can't just leave."

Michael paused and said, "I get it. But your relationship with George is over. Why let this marriage hold you back? Your safety is the most important thing. As for the divorce, I can handle it."

"George is a tough guy. If you handle it, he won't agree to the divorce. I have to do it myself." Emma replied.

Michael's eyes darkened. Emma still understood George so well.

"No matter what, the fact is that we're not divorced yet. I can't just leave Lakeside Haven. And Seraphine just went through a lot. Her body and emotions are still unstable. She's not fit for a long journey."

Michael was silent for a long time before finally nodding. "Alright, I respect your decision."

He adjusted the navigation, resetting the destination to their villa in Lakeside Haven.

The helicopter headed back towards the villa. Emma breathed a sigh of relief, but her complex emotions remained. She looked out the window at the scenery, lost in thought.

Michael's voice came again, gentle this time. "Emma, no matter what you decide, I'll support you. But please remember, I'll always be here for you."

Emma didn't respond, just nodded slightly.

She turned to Seraphine, who had fallen asleep in her seat, a sweet smile on her face.

In the newly purchased Russell family house, the atmosphere was so tense it was almost suffocating.

Scarlett sat on the living room sofa, her face livid. She gazed at Phoenix, who bowed his head with a bitter smile.

"Phoenix, you better have a damn good explanation!" Scarlett's voice was icy. "Why did you kidnap Lucas? He's George's kid, part of the Russell family. How dare you do that?"

Phoenix looked up, a sly glint in his eyes, but his tone was feigned innocence. "Aunt Scarlett, I did it for the good of the Russell family. Do you know? Lucas isn't George's kid at all. He's Emma and Michael's illegitimate son!"

"What?" Scarlett stood up abruptly. "What nonsense are you talking about? How could Lucas not be George's child?"

Phoenix sneered and pulled a document from his bag, handing it to Scarlett. "Aunt Scarlett, see for yourself. This is a paternity test. It clearly states that Lucas and George have no biological relationship."

Scarlett's hands trembled as she took the document, her eyes quickly scanning the contents. When she saw the results, she was struck as if by lightning.

"How is this possible?" Scarlett's voice trembled, filled with disbelief and anger. "Emma, she dared to deceive us!"

At this moment, Scarlett seemed to completely forget that regardless of who Lucas's parents were, he was taken from Emma by Anna. Emma had always been the victim!

The real culprit had always been Anna, not the innocent Emma.

Seeing this, Phoenix immediately added fuel to the fire. "Aunt Scarlett, Emma has been deceiving George and the entire Russell family from the start. She married George to get the Russell family's assets! You should think about it. She helped Michael with so many bad things recently. A woman like Emma, who knows how long she's been involved with Michael. Now that the truth is out, you can't be fooled by her anymore!"

Scarlett's expression became increasingly grim. She slammed the paternity test on the table. "Emma! That bitch! How dare she play us like this!"

Just then, footsteps came from the direction of the master bedroom.

Charles walked in slowly, leaning on a cane.

Since the Russell Group was taken over, his life had become simpler. The sharpness he once had was worn down by time. Now, he looked more like an ordinary old man, kind and peaceful, but still retaining his inner strength and wisdom.

He glanced around the living room, his gaze finally landing on the paternity test in Scarlett's hand.

"What's going on?"

Scarlett immediately stepped forward, handing the paternity test to Charles. "Dad, look at this! Lucas isn't George's child. Emma deceived all of us!"

Charles took the document, looked at it carefully. His brows furrowed slightly, but his face remained calm. He looked up, his gaze firm as he looked at Scarlett and Phoenix. "This test is fake."

"What?" They were both stunned, clearly not expecting this reaction from Charles.

Charles placed the test on the table. "I know what kind of person Emma is. She would never do such a thing. Lucas is George's child, without a doubt."
