Chapter 110 Disguise Exposed

The fashion show came to a screeching halt when Anna bolted out, looking totally freaked out.

For days, Emma was in such a good mood that even little Seraphine picked up on it.

At breakfast, Seraphine was munching on a yummy fried egg, holding a piece of bread in her tiny hand, grinning from ear to ear.

"Mom, this fried egg is amazing!" Seraphine said, crumbs decorating the corners of her mouth, making her look extra adorable.

"Really? Then I'll whip up some more for you tomorrow," Emma said, gently running her fingers through Seraphine's soft hair, feeling a rush of happiness.

"Just fried eggs?" Seraphine pouted.

"What else do you want, sweetie?"

"I want a cake as pretty as you!" Seraphine spread her arms wide, trying to show just how big she wanted the cake to be.

"How about we bake a cake together after I get off work? We can add your favorite strawberries and chocolate!"

"Yay! I love strawberries the most!" Seraphine clapped her hands, her face lighting up. She licked her lips like she could already taste the cake.

"Alright, let's finish breakfast first. After work, we'll hit the supermarket for the ingredients!"

Seraphine nodded, seriously munching the last bite of her bread, mumbling, "Mom, I love you!"

"I love you too, Seraphine." Seeing her daughter so happy was Emma's greatest joy.

Emma missed the video Mia had sent during breakfast.

While waiting for the elevator, Emma finally checked her phone and saw today's headline: #True Nature of Anna!

A video popped up, showing Anna going off on security and kicking a sales clerk like she was out of her mind, totally losing her cool.

Emma was thrilled with how clear the videos were.

The journalists she hired did an awesome job. The video editing was spot on, capturing Anna's rage and crazy expressions perfectly. They even mixed in shots of the shocked onlookers, making Anna look even worse.

'Anna, you never thought your true colors would come out like this,' Emma thought.

Emma then dove into the comments.

[I can't believe she's like this!]

[I used to think she and George were a good match.]

[Do you think the "vicious Emma" Anna mentioned might be framed?]

[Wow, someone actually said it.]

Emma's reputation started to improve as Anna's took a nosedive.

A video had surfaced, capturing Anna and Emma together. In the footage, Anna appeared to be unraveling, while Emma remained composed and serene.

This revelation was a devastating blow to Anna's carefully cultivated image.

As the story spread, it unleashed a flood of personal accounts from those who knew Anna, each testimony contributing to the demolition of her reputation.

"She's not the sweet person you think. You have no idea how scary she gets when she starts cursing!" a former employee, hiding behind the camera, said angrily.

Emma didn't feel vengeful, just like justice was finally being served.

Emma was sure that Anna's hubris and malice would eventually catch up with her.

The online headlines kept trending, causing all sorts of chaos in Anna's life. Negative news about her kept popping up, and some people even began to speculate that Anna was responsible for Emma's hypothetical demise.

Emma couldn't help but give a thumbs up to that netizen.

Anna, on the other hand, was freaking out. She never thought the netizens would actually guess the truth. What scared her the most was the thought that George might believe these accusations.

Anna decided to go to the Russell Group to find George herself.

As soon as she walked into the Russell Group, she felt the weird stares from the employees, whispers echoing around her. Her smile vanished, replaced by a cold, angry look.

"Ridiculous, how could anyone believe those rumors," Anna thought, trying to stay calm as she headed for the elevator.

But with every step, the whispering got louder. She could hear some employees talking in hushed tones. "She's Mr. Russell's mistress and killed Mrs. Russell."

"Mrs. Russell was her sister who grew up with her."

"No way, that's even more ruthless."

These words felt like needles piercing Anna's heart, her face growing darker. She wouldn't let these lowly people mock her.

She walked up to the front desk and found the most noticeable receptionist whispering with her colleagues. Without hesitation, she said, "Shouldn't you be working right now?"

The receptionist looked up with disdain. "We were just discussing something interesting, Ms. Stuart. You don't mind, do you?"

"You don't mind if I fire you now, do you?" Anna snapped, her anger flaring. "Pack your things and get out!"

The receptionist's face turned grim, angrily retorting, "What right do you have to fire me?"

"I'm George's fiancée!" Anna's voice was icy, her eyes flashing with anger.

"Not married yet."

"Security! Get her out of here!" Anna issued the final ultimatum.

The security guard walked over slowly, saying to the receptionist, "Maybe you should just leave. Don't make it too hard for me."

The receptionist immediately put on a good face for the security guard.

"I won't make it hard for you. I'm leaving now." She packed her things, glaring at Anna's retreating figure, gritting her teeth and shouting, "Anna, you'll regret this one day!"
