Chapter 32 Got Beaten up at the Jones Villa
As soon as Emma walked in, she felt the sting of judgment. Jerry and Olivia stood on either side of the door, glaring at her like they wanted to rip her apart.
George was chilling on the couch, giving off some serious bad vibes. Anna leaned against him, crying her eyes out.
Emma was so over their fake, crappy acting. She didn't want to play along with this messed-up family anymore. She blurted out, "Mr. Russell, you really gonna punish your wife for this shameless side chick?"
"Emma, did you forget what I told you?" George looked up, his eyes cold as ice. He stood up and grabbed Emma by the collar.
Anna quickly pretended to hold George back, trying to stop him from punishing Emma, but still deliberately spoke sweetly, "George, let go of Emma. I don't blame her. It's all my fault. You're Emma's husband now. I shouldn't still love you. But George, I can't help loving you, no matter what happens."
"Anna, you're still defending this ungrateful bitch? Look at what she did to you!" Jerry walked over, both angry and heartbroken.
Emma then noticed Anna's face. There were two distinct handprint marks, clearly from a heavy blow. But Emma didn't know who hit her, though it certainly wasn't her.
An hour ago, Emma had only slapped Anna's left cheek, and she didn't have the strength to leave such severe marks.
Unless Anna was attacked on her way home, there was only one possibility left.
Anna had hit herself to frame Emma.
Emma couldn't help but admire Anna's audacity. To frame her, Anna was truly ruthless. Whether it was falling down the stairs last time or slapping herself this time, she was brutal.
Emma said with a sneer, "If you know it's your fault, why are you still clinging to my husband? Anna, aren't you disgusting?"
Emma's face was slapped.
"You shameless woman!" Jerry roared, slapping her hard. The force of the blow left Emma momentarily stunned, her vision darkening, almost unable to stand.
"Did you use this hand to hit Anna?!" Jerry angrily pushed her to the ground and stepped on her hand. Pain surged through Emma, filling her with despair.
"If you dare hit Anna again, I'll have your hand chopped off!" Jerry's voice was filled with malice, his eyes gleaming with madness.
Emma struggled desperately, but it was futile.
So, she stopped struggling and didn't beg for mercy, quietly enduring the pain.
At that moment, George walked over. Seeing the scene in front of him, his face showed no concern, as if it had nothing to do with him. He just looked coldly, a hint of disdain in his eyes.
"George, don't think I'm being too harsh. As a father, seeing my daughter bullied like this, I can't swallow this anger! When Anna's baby is born, you'll understand a parent's feelings." Jerry justified his actions after hitting Emma.
George didn't care about Jerry's reasons for hitting Emma.
George frowned, casting a disgusted glance at Emma, "She deserves it."
He then put his arm around Anna, "Anna, come, I'll take you to rest for a while." His coaxing words delivered another dull blow to Emma.
As he turned away, Jerry lifted his foot and stomped hard on Emma's wrist several more times.
Emma bit her lip, her tear-filled eyes watching George and Anna's retreating figures, her heart aching.
"You are not worthy of being my daughter, You also don't deserve to marry George!" Jerry shouted angrily, his eyes full of hatred, "Consider yourself lucky today! Get out!"
Jerry kicked Emma's shoulder again.
Emma gritted her teeth, struggling to crawl up from the ground. She slowly moved towards the door. Once she regained her strength and could walk properly, she defiantly left her battle declaration.
"If Anna messes with me again, I'll hit her just the same!" she said.
