Chapter 344 Saved

Emma's body tensed for a moment, but she quickly relaxed. She closed her eyes, feeling the warmth and comfort of the moment. The family of four held each other tightly, as if all the pain and fear had been dispelled in that instant.

After the initial shock wore off, George released Emma and the kids. His gaze fell on Emma's face, a mix of guilt and hesitation in his eyes. He whispered, "Emma, about my faked death, let me explain..."

Emma cut him off, her face cold, "Save it, George. I don't want to hear it right now."

George was taken aback. He opened his mouth as if to say something, but ultimately lowered his head in silence.

Emma turned to Billy, who was standing nearby. Billy smiled and said in a deliberately light tone, "See, I'm still the best doctor around here."

"Yeah, our hero!" Mia laughed, picking up Billy's medical kit. "Quick, check on Lucas and Seraphine, especially their facial wounds. They need to be treated right away."

Billy nodded and quickly moved forward, crouching down to examine them. "Don't worry, kids. I'll take care of you. It won't hurt for long."

Seraphine nodded obediently, tears still on her cheeks but no longer crying. Lucas stood tall, bravely cooperating with Billy's examination.

Emma stood quietly to the side, her heart aching yet filled with relief as she watched her two children.

George, on the other hand, seemed at a loss.

Just then, the sound of helicopter blades filled the air, and a chopper slowly descended onto the open ground outside the factory.

The door opened, and Michael stepped out briskly. His suit was immaculate, though his tie was slightly askew, indicating his rush. He had already learned what had happened and felt both sorrow for Emma and the kids and intense disapproval of George's actions.

He walked quickly to Emma, "Emma, I'm sorry I'm late. This place is too dangerous. You need to come back to Sunterra with me immediately. You and the kids will be safe there, away from all this chaos."

Emma looked up at Michael, her emotions in turmoil. George's resurrection brought a mix of joy and fear. She couldn't allow herself to feel anything for George again; she forced herself to hate him, to stay away from him.

"Okay, I'll go with you. I'll take Lucas and Seraphine and leave here."

From the moment George saw Michael, his expression darkened. As he heard Emma's words, his possessiveness flared.

"Emma, you can't leave! We're still married. You're still my wife. You can't go with another man, and Lucas's custody is with me. You can't take him without my consent!"

"George, let me make this clear: we're done. I don't want to hear about your faked death or any explanations. You don't need to worry about our safety."

"Emma, you still care about me! Why are you running away? Why are you going with Michael? He's deceiving you, don't believe his words."

"George, you're wrong. I don't care about you, and I don't hate you. I just don't want any ties with you. Our lives don't need your interference." She paused, looking into Michael's eyes, unsure if she was speaking to him or George. "As for who Michael is, I know very well. Even if the whole world is against me, Michael will always have my back."

Michael stood by, his gaze shifting between Emma and George.

When George first appeared, Michael had been worried Emma might soften and fall back into despair. But her words warmed his heart, and he immediately mocked George, "George, Emma has made her choice. You should respect her decision instead of trying to control her."

George's eyes turned hostile as he glared at Michael, "Michael, this is between Emma and me. It's none of your business!"

Michael chuckled, "George, you're always so self-righteous. Do you think Emma is your possession? She has her own choices, and you only bring her pain." He paused, his eyes sharp, "Besides, your faked death was just a ploy to hide and sabotage my Auris Group in Sunterra, right? You're despicable."

George's expression changed slightly but quickly regained his composure.

"Michael, you finally figured it out? Yes, I faked my death to make you lower your guard so I could destroy your Auris Group. You think your headquarters in Sunterra is safe? Too bad, your plans are already disrupted."

Michael smirked, "You're truly ruthless. To achieve your goals, you even resorted to faking your death. Unfortunately, your plan didn't fully succeed. If you want to destroy Auris Group, you need more practice."

Emma listened to their argument, feeling even more agitated.

She didn't want to be involved in these pointless disputes anymore. She just wanted to take her kids and leave, away from all the danger. She turned to Lucas and Seraphine, taking each by the hand, "Lucas, Seraphine, let's go."

They nodded obediently.

Seraphine asked softly, "Mom, where are we going?"

Emma gently stroked her head, "We're going somewhere safe, away from all this danger. Okay?"

Seraphine held Emma's hand tightly, "Okay, Mom, let's go."

George watched as Emma and the kids prepared to leave, his possessiveness and anger nearly consuming him.

He rushed forward, grabbing Emma's wrist, his voice tinged with desperation, "Emma, don't go. I know I was wrong, but I can't lose you and the kids."

Emma's body tensed slightly, "George, let go. We're over."

Seeing Emma's discomfort, Seraphine immediately realized George's actions were upsetting her. Without hesitation, she bit George's wrist, trying to make him let go.

Seraphine's small teeth caused sharp pain, but George still didn't release his grip.

"Let go of my mom!" Seraphine shouted angrily, kicking and biting George.

George seemed oblivious to the pain, using his free hand to hold Emma tightly, "Emma, I love you! I still care about you, Emma. Can you forgive me?"
