Chapter 220 Where is the Groom

The pristine, dreamlike wedding dresses around her were blinding. Anna grabbed a luxurious gown and tore at it without hesitation, lace and beads falling from her hands.

"If I can't have it, no one can!" Anna's voice was filled with hysterical rage as she threw the dress to the ground, letting the pieces scatter everywhere.

Emma watched Anna's frantic behavior with a sense of satisfaction, a smile growing on her lips.

George frowned and tried to step forward to stop Anna, but Emma held him back, gently advising, "Ms. Stuart is upset. Let's not interfere and let her vent."

Anna continued her rampage through the bridal shop, grabbing dress after dress, ripping and tossing them aside. The other customers backed away in fear, and the staff hurried to intervene, but Anna's fury was like a wildfire, unstoppable.

"Get away from me!" Anna screamed, completely unhinged, driven mad by Emma.

Emma watched with relish, a cold smile on her face, thinking, 'What a pitiful woman, losing even her last shred of dignity, just like I once did.'

Eventually, Anna's rampage was subdued. While she was losing control, Emma and George quietly slipped away.

Emma thought, 'Anna, enjoy it while you can. Your suffering and despair are far from over.'

Five days later, George and Anna's wedding day arrived as scheduled.

The venue was decorated like a fairytale. White wedding dresses, fragrant flowers, and sparkling crystal chandeliers created a romantic and luxurious atmosphere. Guests in elegant attire filled the space, their faces glowing with anticipation and well-wishes.

Anna stood at the entrance, a radiant smile on her face, warmly greeting each guest. Her makeup was flawless, her eyes shining with happiness as she welcomed the most beautiful day of her life.

"Welcome, thank you all for coming!" Anna's voice was clear and cheerful, tinged with excitement and anticipation. She bowed slightly, gracefully greeting each guest, feeling a sense of pride.

She thought, 'So what if Isabella has a wedding dress and George proposed to her? Today, it is me standing here, welcoming the guests.'

As more guests arrived and the ceremony time approached, all eyes turned to the groom, George. He was supposed to appear by now, but there was no sign of him. The atmosphere grew tense, whispers spreading among the guests.

"Where's Mr. Russell?" one guest asked quietly, frowning.

"Yeah, the wedding's about to start. Why isn't he here?" another guest wondered, scanning the room for George. "Did he run away?"

"It's possible. I heard Mrs. Russell forced this wedding by threatening her life. Mr. Russell doesn't want to marry that crazy Anna."

"Exactly. If it weren't for the business ties between the Russell Group and the Stuart Group, who would want to deal with Anna?"

"The Russell family is really unlucky to accept her as a member of their family."

Hearing the murmurs, Anna's unease grew, her smile becoming strained. She tried to stay calm, wondering where George could be.

Could he really be running away? Or did something happen?

Anna hoped for the latter. "Please wait a moment, George will be here soon!" she adjusted her emotions, trying to appear composed. But as time ticked by, George still didn't show.

The whispers grew louder, and Anna's anxiety increased, her palms sweating.

The wedding setup was like a fairytale, with flower-adorned arches, flickering candles, and elegant tables and chairs, all exuding luxury and romance. The band played softly, creating a warm atmosphere.

But without George, it all felt hollow.

"I'll go look for him," Scarlett finally said, unable to wait any longer, heading backstage.

She had a bad feeling. George wouldn't skip the wedding, would he?

But George had promised to marry Anna. He wasn't one to break his word. Even if they divorced later, he would still come.

Could Isabella be holding him up?

"Oscar, go check if that bitch Isabella is here!" Scarlett ordered.

"Get it, Mrs. Russell." Oscar nodded.

Meanwhile, the tension at the wedding grew, all eyes on Anna, waiting for her explanation. The Russell and Stuart families were all searching for George.

Anna had put so much effort into this wedding, even arranging for live media coverage to showcase the event. Every detail was meticulously planned, but without George, it all seemed meaningless.

As the guests whispered and waited anxiously, the live broadcast team was ready.

Though the staff continued their work, they were panicking inside.

They had done many live broadcasts, even weddings, but never one without a groom.

Just as the broadcast time approached, a commotion erupted at the entrance, drawing everyone's attention.

George finally appeared. He looked lazy in the sunlight, wearing an old set of loungewear, clearly just out of bed, his hair messy, and a sleepy look on his face, completely lacking the formality of a wedding.

Anna's smile froze instantly. She couldn't believe it. Her long-awaited wedding was being ruined by George in this way!

"Why are you so late?" Anna tried to suppress her anger, her voice tinged with frustration and anxiety.

"Just woke up," George replied nonchalantly, seemingly indifferent to the wedding.

Anna forced a smile. "The wedding is about to start. Go change."

"No need," George said casually, shaking his head.

His attitude infuriated Anna. As her gaze swept the crowd and landed on a beautiful face, her world crumbled again.

Why was Isabella at her wedding?

When did she arrive?

Was George late because he was with her?

Blinded by rage, Anna didn't notice that the host she had carefully arranged had been replaced.
