Chapter 210 Hypnosis

The bodyguard team was George's sharpest weapon. Losing it would be like a tiger losing its teeth.

But Emma, always the considerate and understanding figure, couldn't say that outright. Instead, she planned to subtly badmouth George over time, making him lose himself in love, abandon his career, and ultimately lose everything. This was Emma's ultimate revenge on George.

She never simply wanted George dead; death was too easy. Living a life worse than death was far more painful.

According to the innocent image Emma had crafted for herself, she should now be moved by George's few words, then throw herself into his arms and release her emotions.

She was a dedicated actress, and she thought this, and indeed, she did just that.

Emma threw herself into George's arms, holding him tightly. The distance between them vanished instantly.

"I was really worried about you," Emma's voice was filled with tenderness, her eyes glistening with tears.

"Me too," George's voice was gentle as he softly stroked her hair, his heart brimming with love for her.

At that moment, they both bowed their heads simultaneously, their lips meeting in a gentle, yet resolute kiss that intensified the intimate atmosphere in the hospital room. In that instant, only the sound of their heartbeats echoed in the room.

"I'll always be with you, never letting you get hurt again," George's voice was firm, his eyes shining with a gentle light.

"I believe you," Emma's voice was equally firm. "If it weren't for you protecting me, I would have been crushed by that rock. Thank you, George; you saved me once again."

In stark contrast to the warmth in the hospital room, Olivia and Jerry were huddled in a corner of the Russell family's private prison.

Their plot to harm George was still under investigation, so they were merely detained, not tortured or handed over to the police for legal punishment.

Jerry was still eating and drinking without a care, but Olivia was far from calm. She anxiously asked, "Do you think that bitch Emma will get us out? What if she regrets it? If she doesn't want to save us, what do we do? That bitch has no conscience; she dared to kill George, so she wouldn't hesitate to kill us."

Jerry, however, was unconcerned. "What's there to be afraid of? We have dirt on her. If she dares to accuse us, we'll say she's our accomplice. No one will get away. Besides, George hated her so much back then, he wanted her dead! In the end, George succeeded in torturing her to death. You know how deep their hatred ran, don't you?"

Olivia said with anxiety, "But now George likes her so much, he even refused to marry our Anna for her. If he finds out Isabella is Emma, he'll be over the moon!"

"You don't get it. George misses the dead Emma, not the living one. If Emma were alive, he'd despise her. Only the dead can be perfect; the living have no such privilege." Jerry smirked.

Olivia understood the logic after Jerry's explanation and calmed down, waiting quietly for Emma's actions outside.

She could understand Emma's hatred for George. If she had gone through what Emma did, she would hate George and seek revenge on him. So, they were on the same side as Emma, and Emma would surely protect them.

They were right; Emma did intend to protect them.

They guessed part of it correctly, but the other part was that keeping them alive was crucial for controlling Anna, allowing Emma to better exact her revenge on Anna.

After pouring out her longing, Emma knew George would start dealing with Jerry and Olivia's crimes. However, Emma had to protect them, and the only way was to hypnotize George.

During her years in Sunterra, Emma had learned hypnosis.

Emma asked, "George, do you remember Olivia and Jerry?"

"How could I forget? They're the ones who caused our injuries!" George's heart was filled with loathing for them. "I won't let them get away with it!"

"You can't do that! They're your saviors!" Emma gently approached him, whispering, "Close your eyes; relax your body; focus on my voice and let's recall together."

Her voice was like a gentle breeze, slowly seeping into George's mind.

With Emma's guidance, George's mood gradually calmed. He felt enveloped by a warm force, his body relaxing, and the anger in his heart diminishing.

"Imagine you're back there, right in the middle of it. You're back in the pit.," Emma's voice was soft and gentle, leading George to form false memories. "You jumped into the pit to save Isabella. Olivia and Jerry desperately tried to pull you out. Do you see it?"

Images began to form in George's mind. He saw himself and Isabella in the pit, with Olivia and Jerry anxiously calling out, trying to save them.

As the hypnosis deepened, George's memories became clearer.

He saw Olivia and Jerry at the edge of the pit, desperately calling out, trying to pull him and Isabella up. Even after they fell into the pit, Olivia and Jerry jumped in without hesitation, trying to save them.

"They are your saviors," Emma's voice echoed softly in his ear.

"I... I understand," George's voice was filled with shock, his heart a mix of complex emotions.

He finally realized that Olivia and Jerry were not the enemies he thought they were, but the ones who had extended a helping hand in a critical moment.

Emma said slowly, "Now, slowly open your eyes."

George slowly opened his eyes and saw Emma's warm gaze. "Thank you, Isabella."

"No need to thank me," Emma smirked.

Why was George thanking her? She had done something bad.

She thought complacently, 'George, I did so much for you before and never got a thank you. Now, I've altered your memory and received your gratitude. Olivia and Jerry wanted to kill you, but they'll get your thanks too. George, you're so foolish!'

After Emma's hypnosis, George's memory was distorted. He truly believed Olivia and Jerry had saved his life.

Even though he had some lingering doubts, George chose to trust Isabella since she was directly involved.

George called out to the door, "Lyle, come in."
