Chapter 488 Design Finished Product
"Thanks, Lucas," Emma said, flashing him a warm smile. She felt a wave of warmth in her heart. This small gesture was slowly breaking down her defenses. She took the spoon and gently took a bite. The sweet strawberry flavor melted in her mouth, washing away much of her worries.
"I picked these out just for you!" Lucas said with a grin.
Emma felt the warmth and began to develop a subtle fondness for Lucas.
Looking at the kind-hearted Lucas, she couldn't help but wonder, 'Does Lucas really not like me? Would Lucas abandon me at any moment?'
Why did she find it hard to believe?
After finishing the dessert, Emma and Mia insisted on driving Lucas home.
The Stuart Villa was a bit far, but the half-hour drive flew by with laughter and conversation.
When they arrived at the entrance of The Stuart Villa, Sophia was already waiting for them.
Lucas had told Sophia earlier that he would be home late today and that he would definitely bring Emma along.
Sophia had been eagerly anticipating their arrival ever since.
This wasn't Emma's first time at The Stuart Villa, but so much had happened since her last visit. She was no longer the same person, and naturally, her feelings about the place had changed.
As soon as Sophia saw Mia's car, she rushed over before they even got out.
"Emma, you're finally here. Dinner is ready, come join us."
Sophia's enthusiasm was impossible for Emma to refuse, and Seraphine really liked Sophia. So, the group headed into the villa to have dinner together.
Once inside, Sophia carefully took out a delicate box from the cabinet and smiled at Emma. "Emma, your Lunora jewelry designs have finally been made into real pieces. I've been wanting to show them to you but never found the right moment. Take a look and let me know if anything needs to be changed. I'll relay your feedback to Lunora's executives." Her voice was filled with excitement.
When the box was opened, a set of stunning blue jewelry was revealed. The necklace, earrings, and bracelet were all expertly made with great detail and precision. Each piece perfectly replicated Emma's original designs, sparkling and evoking a sense of the sea.
"What do you think?" Sophia asked eagerly.
To her, the craftsmanship of these pieces was exceptional.
Emma examined them closely, feeling very satisfied with the attention to detail. She couldn't help but praise, "They're so beautiful that could go straight to market!" She felt a surge of pride, knowing these were her designs, and the success of seeing them realized was deeply gratifying.
Sophia then gestured for something else. Moments later, two sturdy maids brought in a beautifully carved wooden chest, which was polished and grand, exuding an air of elegance.
"This is a special jewelry box prepared just for you," Sophia said with a smile, her eyes filled with anticipation. "It's filled with various pieces of jewelry. It might be a bit heavy, but it's definitely worth it."
Emma's curiosity was instantly piqued. She walked over and gently touched the surface of the chest, admiring the intricate carvings. "It's so beautiful!"
When the chest was opened, it revealed an array of dazzling jewelry, sparkling like stars.
Under the light, the jewelry emitted a brilliant glow, mesmerizing everyone. These pieces were carefully curated by Lunora's design team, showcasing the creativity and inspiration of new designers.
"These pieces are all from up-and-coming designers. Lunora's executives hope you can evaluate them. They knew you were in the hospital and didn't want to bother you there, so they left them with me. When you have time, please take a good look and help Lunora discover promising new talent."
Designing jewelry had been Emma's passion and dedication for years.
Her face lit up with joy as she eagerly began to admire each piece. She carefully examined each one, feeling the designers' efforts and creativity in every item. She could sense the unique vibes, some gentle and charming, others bold and distinctive, each telling a different story.
"This earring design is so clever, its lines are smooth and perfect for a wedding dress," Emma admired, then picked up a necklace, "The gemstone choice for this necklace is excellent, the color combination is very layered."
As she gave her feedback, Sophia took notes seriously, nodding in agreement. She knew these insights were invaluable for the new designers, helping them improve their skills.
Emma took her time with each piece, giving thorough observations before offering her critique. After two hours, she had only reviewed a few pieces.
By then, it was getting dark, and it was clearly time for dinner. It wouldn't be appropriate to continue examining the jewelry.
"Do you want to come back tomorrow to finish reviewing the rest?" Sophia asked.
Mia glanced at Sophia. This Sophia was quite something, not wanting to directly ask Emma to meet, but instead using a roundabout way. Inviting Emma over was just an excuse to see her more.
"I can't come tomorrow," Emma replied. After saying that, she felt her answer was a bit ambiguous, so she added, "I can't come the day after tomorrow either. I won't be able to come for a long time."
"Why?" Sophia asked.
"Because Mom is taking me back to Sunterra!" Seraphine explained innocently. She had no idea how impactful her words were.
Sure enough, the atmosphere instantly froze.
Sophia was stunned and immediately looked at Emma, a hint of loss and unease in her eyes. "Are you really leaving? So soon?" Her voice carried a touch of helplessness, the bitterness of parting.
"Yes," Emma felt awkward and unsure of what to say, "I'm leaving tomorrow."
Lucas heard this and immediately lowered his head, his voice becoming almost inaudible, "Mom, are you leaving me? Why aren't you taking me with you? You didn't even tell me." This sudden question made Emma feel guilty, unsure how to explain.
Sophia's expression also became complicated, clearly unhappy about Emma's imminent departure, her mood growing heavy.
Emma felt a wave of awkwardness, opening her mouth but unable to find the right words to comfort them, feeling a surge of anxiety.
Finally, Emma stood up and softly said goodbye, "I should go." She fled The Stuart Villa in a panic.
