Chapter 166 The Champion's Choice

The place was a total mess, especially for Anna and Sophia. They'd been through a lot, but this chaos was on another level.

Just as Henry was about to step in and calm things down, the big screen lit up with a video. This video was a double-edged sword for Anna—it saved her but also dragged her deeper into trouble.

The video was so shocking that the angry designers fell silent. Their eyes then turned to Isabella, completely bewildered.

They had no clue what was happening.

Emma kept her eyes glued to the screen, thinking about her spotless reputation that got trashed three years ago. The video was short, but it kept looping on the big screen, making sure everyone caught every detail.

In the video, there was a plain-looking woman. Despite her simple clothes, her face looked a lot like Isabella's. This had to be the Emma everyone was talking about, George's ex-wife.

Emma stormed into a banquet hall and bumped into Mrs. Brooks, spilling red wine all over herself.

Instead of saying sorry, Mrs. Brooks blamed Emma. Then she noticed a valuable piece of jewelry was missing.

That's when the elegantly dressed Anna showed up. To help Mrs. Brooks find her jewelry, she searched Emma and "found" the missing necklace in Emma's pocket.

If the video had stopped there, everyone would have thought Emma was the thief. But the video was shot from a sneaky angle, catching Anna's every move. Everyone saw Anna plant the necklace in Emma's pocket and then "find" it herself.

It was a setup, a trap aimed right at Emma.

Anna was about to pass out. She thought this video would save her from the awkward situation, but it only made her look worse. Before the guests could even process the first video, another one started playing.

This one was blurry, but it could clearly distinguish the people in the video and their actions.

It was Anna and Emma. Anna was holding Emma down and slashing her face with a knife. In the end, she cut Emma's eye.

In an instant, blood was everywhere. Some of the more squeamish guests covered their eyes, unable to watch the gruesome scene.

They had thought Anna was just a bit vain and fake, cheating to get ahead. But they never imagined Anna would do something so horrible; she had deliberately hurt someone.

Everyone could see Anna's terrifying loss of control. Her face twisted with rage and madness, tearing apart the elegant image she had worked so hard to create.

"Is this the graceful Ms. Stuart?" the guests' sarcastic voices echoed through the hall.

Anna was sitting in the front row, her face pale. She was a mix of anger and humiliation, feeling like the whole world was laughing at her.

Sophia instantly grasped the seriousness of the situation, her anger flaring up. "Why is this video playing? Turn it off now!" she demanded, her body shaking with rage.

A staff member looked embarrassed, raising her hand to try and calm the tense atmosphere, but the intense stares made her nervous.

"I'm sorry, Mrs. Stuart, the system's been hacked. We can't turn off the video," she said, clearly flustered.

The hacker's presence instantly cranked up the already tense atmosphere.

Guests whispered among themselves, talking about Anna's scandal with words full of doubt and disdain. Anna became more twisted in their eyes, making her the object of their contempt.

As the video kept playing, the atmosphere grew even more chaotic.

Media reporters kept snapping photos, flashes going off non-stop. Every movement, every expression seemed to be waiting for the next sharp critique—Anna was drowning in those gazes.

Just as the video caused a commotion, Anna decided to take charge. She stood up, her clear voice ringing out in the conference hall, "I have a few words to say." All eyes instantly focused on her, the sound of heartbeats almost audible.

"Please open your eyes and don't be fooled by what you see," she said with a slight smile, clearly confident. "These videos are deepfake AI creations. I swear, if I did anything wrong, I would let the Stuart family be utterly destroyed."

Emma almost burst out laughing; that vow was really something. The utter destruction of the Stuart family? No big deal, and it had nothing to do with Anna anyway.

But others didn't know that, thinking she really hadn't done the things in the video.

Just then, Anna's assistant burst into the conference hall, holding a document.

She quickly walked up to Anna and announced loudly, "Ms. Stuart, I found out who the hackers are. They were hired by the Miss Lady team to smear the Stuart Group." Her voice was so loud, no one could ignore it.

Her statement was like a bomb going off, grabbing everyone's attention.

Anna firmly addressed the guests, "You all heard it. The video was part of a conspiracy by the Miss Lady brand. They're trying to ruin my career."

She sounded so righteous, as if she had truly been framed.

But the media had another question, "The Miss Lady brand has no beef with the Stuart Group. Why would they frame you? Your accusation doesn't add up."

"Are you sure there's no grudge?" Anna raised an eyebrow, "Don't you know about Isabella ruining my marriage? She wants to smear me so she can marry George."

She glanced at Michael, who was about to argue, and said, "Michael, don't bother. I know you were deceived too. Isabella's so charming that few men can resist her. You're just another victim."
