Chapter 151 Reap What You Sow

Their meal stretched into the evening. As night fell, the colorful neon lights lit up the streets, adding a touch of mystery and romance to the city.

Emma hadn't felt this relaxed in ages. She said goodbye to Mia and slowly walked home, enjoying the peacefulness around her.

The streetlights cast a soft glow, and the area was unusually quiet. She felt a vague sense of unease, like someone was watching her from the shadows. Emma quietly touched the vial of potion in her bag. If anyone dared to approach her, she wouldn't hesitate to use it. After returning to her country, she always kept some self-defense tools in her bag, and perhaps today they would come in handy. Emma remained vigilant, waiting for the enemy to make the first move.

As she passed a secluded alley, a familiar figure suddenly stepped out of the darkness, blocking her way.

"Tom!" Emma smiled indifferently. It was indeed him! She had long known that someone like him wouldn't be easily taken down. Although he had been captured, with Anna vouching for him, it was only a matter of time before he got out. But this time, she was determined to make sure Tom would never get out again!

Tom's eyes burned with anger and resentment, a sinister smile on his face.

"Isabella, surprised to see me?" Tom said coldly, raising a syringe menacingly.

"What do you want?" Emma stepped back, pretending to be very scared and cornered with no way to escape.

"Come here and let me inject you with something," Tom's eyes gleamed with madness. "It's good stuff. One try and you'll be hooked."

What else could it be but drugs? Emma couldn't believe Tom was so ruthless. He had bought drugs just to kill her!

What good news! If she succeeded, Tom would never leave prison again!

Tom lunged at her with the syringe. At that critical moment, Michael dashed in like lightning. Without hesitation, he kicked at Tom.

Michael shouted, "Stop!"

Tom couldn't react in time. Michael's kick landed squarely on his wrist, causing the syringe to fall to the ground. Tom cried out in pain, clutching his wrist, his face a mix of shock and anger.

"Are you okay?" Michael quickly turned to Emma, concern in his eyes.

"I'm fine," Emma's voice trembled slightly. Though still scared, she felt a warmth seeing Michael there.

"That syringe has drugs in it. Don't let him escape!" Emma noticed Tom's movements.

Michael swiftly pinned Tom to the ground, firmly controlling his wrists. Tom struggled, but it was futile against Michael's strength.

"If you dare move again, I'll kill you right now," Michael said coldly.

"You can't do this, it's against the law!" Tom shouted angrily, but his voice was soon replaced by his own wails. Michael's foot was pressing heavily on Tom's head.

Emma pulled a short dagger from her boot, ready to stab Tom in the groin. She was determined to cripple Tom today. But Michael grabbed her wrist, and Emma looked at him with a hostile expression, unsure of his intentions.

Michael smiled faintly. "Let me do it. Don't dirty your hands."

"Fine." Emma handed the dagger to Michael, realizing how satisfying it was to be the villain.

Although Tom was beaten to the point of being in excruciating pain all over, he was still conscious. He immediately realized what Emma intended to do and struggled in agony. "No! I'm sorry! Isabella, I won't dare again! Please spare me!"

"Spare you? Why didn't you spare me back then?" Emma ground her high heel into Tom's face. She hated Tom's face and his mouth!

Michael didn't want Tom's disgusting self to dirty Emma's shoes. He gently moved her aside and said softly, "Tell me what you want to do, and I'll do it for you."

With that, Michael unexpectedly drove the dagger into Tom's groin.

"Ahhh—" Tom screamed.

Even so, Emma wasn't satisfied. She had Michael sever Tom's tendons in his hands and feet, rendering him completely crippled. The bloodstains on the ground emitted a pungent odor, making Emma uncomfortable. She rubbed her nose, and Michael immediately handed her a mask. Emma put on the mask, suppressing the nausea in her stomach.

"If it's disgusting, don't look. Leave the rest to me," Michael said.

"No, I want to watch him go to hell with my own eyes."

"Alright, as you wish." Michael thought of a punishment. He went to the car, fetched an axe, and chopped off Tom's limbs, then cut out his tongue to prevent him from speaking. To ensure he didn't die, Michael gave Tom some life-sustaining medicine.

A quick death would be too easy for Tom. Emma wanted to keep him alive in pain to quench her hatred. Tom wasn't dead yet, so Emma had his wounds disinfected and bandaged, then transported him to Rephalia through Michael's channels.

As she knew, there were freak shows in Rephalia. Given Tom's current state, he would make a fitting exhibit. Let Tom live like this permanently.

After tormenting Tom, Michael ordered his men to clean up the scene and then mailed Tom's severed limbs to Anna.

"Thank you, Michael," Emma said, feeling a wave of relief as she watched Tom being taken away.

"As long as you're happy," Michael replied, secretly breathing a sigh of relief. Thankfully, he had arrived in time to prevent a grave mistake; otherwise, he would have regretted it for the rest of his life.

The last rays of the sunset fell on Michael's flawless face. The warm hues and his deep eyes complemented each other, making him look even more handsome and upright. The sunlight filtered through the clouds, casting a soft glow that outlined his resolute features, like a hero stepping out of a painting.

At that moment, he seemed to blend with the surroundings, embodying both the warmth of the sun and the mystery of the night. Emma felt moved inside.

"I'm glad you're okay," Michael said, instinctively wrapping his arm around Emma's waist.

Emma squirmed a bit uncomfortably, and Michael immediately let go, a gentle smile spreading across his face.

He said gently, "Don't worry. I won't force you."
