Chapter 215 Property Division

George laid out his entire plan to Isabella, trying his best to please her, but it only made her feel uneasy.

When George liked someone, he could sacrifice other admirers, abandon his family, and even forsake his only son. This kind of love was truly selfish.

In the end, George probably only loved himself.

But Emma had to pretend to be satisfied, snuggling into his arms.

"George, you're so good to me. I knew you cared about me the most."

The quiet of the hospital room was shattered by the sound of hurried footsteps. Scarlett stormed in, furious.

"George, how can you be with this bitch?" Scarlett's gaze was like a knife, cutting through Emma as if she were some dirty thing corrupting George.

"Mom, what are you saying?" George frowned, feeling a wave of displeasure. He didn't like Scarlett talking about Isabella that way.

"I'm saying she's a bad woman, not fit to be with you!" Scarlett continued her relentless accusations. "You need to marry Anna, who is the right woman for you!"

"I'm not marrying Anna!" George's voice rose. He couldn't understand why Scarlett was so stubborn when he had his own choices.

"You have no choice here." Scarlett's voice grew sharper, her eyes flashing with unyielding determination. "If you don't marry Anna, I'll end my life!"

"Mom, don't do this!" George said hurriedly.

"I will! You must listen to me!" Scarlett's emotions were out of control. She no longer resembled a dignified lady but a shrew, shouting without restraint in the hospital room.

Emma watched silently from the side, curious to see what choice George would make under Scarlett's pressure.

She wanted to know what place she held in George's heart.

"George, you need to take responsibility for your future! You can't let this bitch control your life!"

George said firmly, "The one I love is Isabella!"

"What a jok! You don't even know what love is!" Scarlett sneered, her eyes full of contempt. "You're just bewitched by this bitch! George, wake up! Look at her, she looks just like Emma. She's a slut with a chaotic private life! She almost married Michael. She's a gold digger! She's with you for your money!"

"She's not!" George's voice grew firmer.

He had given up on Emma once before, but this time, he wouldn't abandon Isabella.

Even if it meant going against the world, he would marry Isabella!

"If you insist on marrying this woman, I'll starve myself!" Scarlett's threat was like a sharp blade, piercing George's heart.

"Mom, do you have to force me?" George knew Scarlett's insistence came from her expectations for the family, but he wanted to pursue his own happiness.

"You're the one forcing me! It's your fault!" Scarlett mercilessly pushed George's choice to the brink.

The endless argument intensified, and Emma, like watching a TV drama, began to anticipate how the story would unfold.

What would George choose?

Was she more important to him, or was Scarlett?

"George, listen to me and marry Anna." Scarlett's voice carried a hint of pleading, her eyes showing a trace of despair.

Though she now disliked Anna, the Stuart Group's influence was undeniable.

Just when Scarlett thought her hunger strike plan had succeeded, George made up his mind. "I won't marry Anna. I want to be with Isabella! If you want to starve yourself, that's your choice."

His resolute attitude infuriated Scarlett.

"If you dare to be with her, I'll jump out the window!" Scarlett suddenly turned and walked to the window, leaning slightly forward, as if ready to fall at any moment. Her voice was filled with despair and anger, her eyes flashing with madness. She was using this extreme method to force George.

"Mom, enough already!" George felt a surge of irritation. He didn't believe Scarlett would really jump.

He knew Scarlett was playing tricks again, but he didn't want to be swayed by her emotions anymore. He chose to close his eyes, pretending not to see.

"George, think carefully!" Scarlett's voice echoed in his ears, filled with heart-wrenching despair. Her hands gripped the window ledge tightly. "If you dare to be with her, I'll really jump!"

George felt a wave of frustration and added, "Mom, I hope you can understand my choice."

This time, he wouldn't let Scarlett's demands compromise his love!

"You bastard!" Scarlett's voice was full of anger and disappointment. Her body trembled slightly, as if truly heartbroken, ready to fall at any moment.

Emma, seeing Scarlett's dramatic performance, couldn't help but want to assist her.

Emma took out her phone, pretending to call the police and fire department, briefly explaining the situation before hanging up. She then told Scarlett that she had called for help, and the police and firefighters would arrive soon. They would surely rescue Scarlett, so she shouldn't worry.

Moreover, knowing it was the Russell family in trouble, the firefighters had also alerted the media. Scarlett's suicide attempt would be broadcasted all over Lakeside Haven, and everyone would know how much Scarlett loved George.

Emma's sarcastic words were unbearable for Scarlett's pride. Reluctantly, she stepped down from the window ledge.

It wasn't because she agreed to George and Isabella's marriage, but because she didn't want her shrewish image to be publicized throughout Lakeside Haven.

Compared to which woman George would marry, Scarlett cared more about her reputation.

"Get out! This is between me and my son. It's none of your business!" Scarlett, full of anger with nowhere to vent, found a target in Emma.

But Emma was no longer the woman who used to be bullied by Scarlett. She couldn't care less about Scarlett's endless scolding.

She gave Scarlett and George a polite smile and then gracefully left. George wanted to stop her but thought better of it, considering Scarlett's threats. It was best not to let Isabella witness such a scene, so he smiled and watched Isabella leave.

As Emma's figure disappeared from George's sight, his expression turned cold as he looked at Scarlett.

"Have you had enough?"
