Chapter 34 A Chaotic Battle
Her voice was barely a whisper in the rain, with raindrops smacking her face, mixing with her tears, and making everything a blur. She banged on the window like her life depended on it, her heart drowning in helplessness and despair.
"Please! I'm begging you!" Her voice was desperate, but the window stayed shut tight, like it was blocking out her cries.
After what felt like forever, the door finally creaked open. Anna stood there, a cold smirk on her face, looking all smug and victorious.
"Emma, what the hell are you doing here?" Anna's voice dripped with sarcasm. "Here to beg George?"
"Let him out!" Emma's voice was a mix of anger and helplessness.
"He's busy, taking a shower." Anna sneered, her eyes gleaming with malice. "You really think George gives a damn about you? He doesn't want to deal with you at all!"
"Let him out!" Emma's heart clenched, panic rising. "My grandpa's been kidnapped, this is life or death!"
"George said he doesn't want to see you. From now on, every night, he's with me." Anna looked down at the soaked, pale-faced Emma with a triumphant gaze, her smile growing more sinister. "Emma, now you know what happens when you mess with my man? I warned you, don't go against me!"
"Was it you..." Emma suddenly got the hint in Anna's words. "Did your people kidnap my grandpa?"
"That's right." Anna's voice was full of venom. "But it's not kidnapping, don't make it sound so bad. It's just inviting him for a cup of coffee."
"You're a real piece of work!" Emma shot back angrily, her heart filled with helplessness and despair. "If you wanna play games, come at me! Why hurt my grandpa!"
Emma's anger boiled over. She lunged forward, slapping Anna several times.
"Are you nuts?!" Anna covered her face, backing away in terror, her eyes wide with shock and disbelief. "How dare you hit me!"
"I'm gonna do more than that!" Emma's voice was full of determination, her heart full of disgust and disdain for Anna. She stepped forward, grabbing Anna's hair and yanking it hard. "Why did I use my bone marrow to save a snake like you! George must be blind to love someone like you!"
At that moment, Olivia heard the ruckus and rushed out. Seeing Emma and Anna going at it, she jumped in, pulling Emma's hair and kicking her hard, but Emma still held onto Anna tightly.
"George, it hurts! Save me! Emma's gonna kill me!"
Anna's cries finally got George's attention.
Seeing the chaos, George quickly stepped in, prying Emma's fingers from Anna's hair, and held Anna protectively in his arms.
"Emma, are you out of your mind?!" George asked coldly, his voice full of anger.
Anna nestled in George's arms, sobbing softly, accusing Emma of her actions. Emma couldn't take it anymore. She rushed forward again, but George punched her hard on the shoulder.
Emma felt a sharp pain, her heart filled with despair and helplessness. Tears streamed down her face as she silently cursed the cold-hearted George.
"Emma!" He spoke coldly, his eyes filled with a desire to tear Emma apart. "You keep pushing my buttons. Do you want to die?"
Emma let out a bitter laugh. She felt like she was already dying.
"George, wake up! Do you know what Anna's done? She kidnapped my grandpa and demanded a million dollars!"
"I didn't." Anna weakly refuted, her eyes filled with tears, looking all pitiful. "George, believe me, I didn't do such a thing. If I did, may our baby die in the womb!"
"How can you make such a vicious oath!" Olivia looked heartbroken.
Anna seemed unbothered. "I didn't do it, so I'm not afraid."
Emma smirked, and George smirked too.
"Is it so fun to slander Anna?" He picked up his phone and dialed a number. "I'll give you one last chance to take it back. Are you saying your grandpa was kidnapped by Anna?"
"Yes!" Emma's eyes were firm. "She just admitted it to me herself!"
