Chapter 435 Maintenance
Just as the crowd's emotions were reaching a fever pitch, one of Emma's followers jumped up and yelled.
"This is all Phoenix's lies! That photo's gotta be fake!" His voice boomed like a hammer, instantly igniting the crowd's emotions.
As soon as he finished, the crowd went wild, and arguments broke out everywhere.
Supporters of Phoenix and fans of Emma clashed, their voices crashing like waves, turning the scene into chaos. The sound of their verbal battles tore through the air like flames, and the heated emotions were ready to blow.
"You don't know anything about design! Stop talking nonsense! This is totally unfair!"
"Oh, like you know anything! You're just a Phoenix fan! She is the real copycat! Emma's talent is out of this world!"
"You're the Phoenix fan! Who are you calling names?"
The scene spiraled out of control, and security and the host scrambling tried to maintain order but failed miserably.
"Please calm down! Everyone, please calm down!" The host shouted desperately, his voice barely audible over the din of the arguments.
Sweat began to bead on his forehead, and he was extremely anxious. His efforts only drew more ridicule. "Shut up! You're useless!" This made the atmosphere even more tense, with everyone's emotions on the verge of exploding.
"Over here! Over here!" A security guard waved his arms, trying to separate the conflicting sides, but he was pushed by the crowd and nearly fell, looking quite embarrassed. He looked around for help from his colleagues, only to find them also swallowed by the intense arguments, unable to assist.
Another security guard tried to control the situation!
He gritted his teeth and pushed forward, but the crowd surged like a tide, instantly engulfing him, and no matter how he struggled, he couldn't move forward.
After a few seconds of silence, the host took a deep breath and finally decided to take the stage, hoping to gather everyone's attention.
"Everyone! Please listen to me! We all want this competition to be fair!" However, his shout had no impact on the current situation and seemed particularly weak.
The tension in the venue escalated, and the arguing voices were almost piercing the ceiling. The security's task was like trying to save a boat on the edge of a cliff, becoming increasingly difficult. Whenever a security guard tried to control one side's emotions, the other side would respond with even louder voices, turning the venue into an endless war, with the chaotic arguments echoing like thunder.
"Crazy, they've all gone crazy!"
The security guard at the front couldn't help but sigh, his tone tinged with despair. He looked at the chaotic scene, thinking that if this continued, things would definitely get out of hand.
But what could he do?
At that moment, Michael strode in from the entrance, his appearance like a beam of dazzling light, instantly drawing everyone's attention.
His well-tailored black suit made him look imposing as he stood tall and straight. He approached with an air of calm elegance, though inside he was tense with worry for Emma's safety.
Michael's gaze swept over the noisy crowd, his ears filled with angry shouts. His internal alarm went off, and he quickly waved to his bodyguards. "Quick! Control the situation! Make sure Emma's safe!"
His command was clear as a trumpet call, and the bodyguards immediately sprang into action like well-trained soldiers. They quickly formed small groups and headed toward the center of the chaos. Each group had a clear task, swiftly delineating the combat area and efficiently controlling the crowd.
"Please remain calm! Please return to your seats!" one of the bodyguards shouted, holding up a shield, trying to suppress the chaotic and angry shouts.
They used shields and strength to pull the impulsive spectators apart, steadily guiding them to safe areas. Other bodyguards held batons, ready to handle any sudden situations. Meanwhile, some bodyguards activated the sound system from the back, using soothing tones to try to calm emotions and reduce the spread of chaos.
As the situation grew tense, Phoenix scanned the noisy crowd, looking for an opportunity. The chaotic scene was like the fire burning in her heart, making her secretly pleased. 'This is perfect!' she thought.
She took a deep breath, quickly preparing herself, and skillfully weaved through the crowded throng. The angry shouts of the crowd masked her approach, allowing her to move toward Emma without concern.
As she got close to Emma, a cold smile flashed across her face, as if victory was already in her grasp. At that moment, Emma was also helping to maintain order, completely unaware of the approaching danger.
Phoenix noticed a cake knife on the table next to Emma, its sharp blade glinting in the candlelight, seemingly calling to her.
'This is perfect!' Phoenix thought to herself, a cold smile unconsciously forming on her lips.
She planned to create an accident, making the knife inadvertently harm Emma. This way, the situation would spiral out of control, and no one could hold her accountable.
Using the chaos, she slowly pushed the table closer to Emma.
The table was now tightly against Emma, and the sharp knife was right by her waist.
Then, Phoenix noticed a little girl behind Emma being pushed by the surging crowd. The girl lost her balance and fell toward Emma, and with the push, Emma was about to fall onto the sharp knife.
"Watch out!" Phoenix shouted, feigning a panicked expression, her eyes locked on Emma, eagerly anticipating the moment.
However, in that split second, Michael suddenly appeared out of nowhere, shielding Emma. He grabbed the knife and threw it aside.
Emma narrowly avoided the knife.
The bodyguards' suppression efforts were taking effect, and with Emma's near-miss, the atmosphere in the venue instantly froze.
"Are you okay?" Michael asked, looking at Emma with concern, his steady figure completely shielding her.
Emma, her nerves taut, didn't notice that Michael had hidden his right arm behind him.
At this moment, Phoenix's malicious plan collapsed instantly. The chaos she had anticipated did not unfold as she had hoped, and jealousy and resentment surged within her like a raging tide. Disappointment and frustration swirled in her heart. 'Why does she always get protection from such outstanding men?'
