Chapter 94 Engagement

After a few days, Emma finally called out George's name.

George's eyes lit up, and he pulled her into his arms.

He turned her flushed face towards him and kissed her, whispering her name over and over.

Despite just finishing, George felt himself getting hard again. He lifted Emma's legs and thrust his hot, hard length into her wetness.

"You've been waiting for this, haven't you? Couldn't hold out any longer, huh? You really are quite lewd."

The intensity of his thrusts pushed her against the edge of the bathtub, her moans breaking apart. The cold tub behind her and George's heat in front of her made her wrap her arms around his strong, lean waist.

With each thrust, George teased her sensitive spots, never quite giving her what she needed.

"Who am I?"

"George..."

"What do you call me?"

"George, Sweetie..."

"Tell me you love me."

"I... I love you..."

Emma could barely speak through George's thrusts, her words coming out as near-moan sounds.

George chuckled, satisfied with her response.

He moved faster and harder, lifting her legs to pull her onto him, each thrust trying to merge them completely.

Emma's mind went blank, feeling like her insides were being rearranged.

"Emma, I'm gonna come!"

His hot release filled her, making her tremble uncontrollably. Her contracting walls squeezed him perfectly.

Even as he pulled out, George's length showed signs of getting hard again.

But Emma was already out cold from the intensity. Her eyes were shut tight, her body still twitching. George cleaned her up, changed the water, and carried her to bed.

He stared at her face for a long time, sighed deeply, and kissed her eyelids, falling into a deep sleep holding her. Her smooth skin against his made him sleep better than he had in ages.

A night of good dreams.

At dawn, Emma woke up sore all over. The memories of last night blurred the line between reality and dream.

She slowly sat up, hesitating to open her eyes.

She still held onto a sliver of hope. Maybe when she opened her eyes, she'd see the light.

Mustering her courage, she opened her eyes. Disappointment hit her again. The surrounding darkness felt overwhelmingly oppressive, a familiar panic setting in.

She fumbled for her clothes, her fingers tracing the edge of the bed until they found a thin piece of fabric.

She clumsily put it on and started searching the room for the broken pendant. But she found nothing.

The fragments seemed to have vanished in last night's chaos, leaving her with nothing but endless loss and despair. Finally, she gave up and turned towards the door. She slowly walked out of the room, feeling uneasy. Her fingers brushed against the walls of the hallway as she carefully made her way down the stairs, silently praying to find a glimmer of light.

When she finally reached the living room downstairs, she suddenly bumped into a solid figure.

The only person who could be in The Russell Villa was George himself.

"Where are you going?" George asked, his voice tense.

Today was the day of his engagement party with Anna. But the thought of it made him feel uneasy, even resistant.

Unable to sleep, he decided to sit in the living room to clear his head. He didn't expect Emma to wake up so early and come downstairs on her own.

This was the first time Emma had come downstairs since arriving at The Russell Villa. Could she be here to stop the engagement?

George felt a bit pleased.

"Mr. Russell, thank you for taking care of me these past few days. I should be leaving now." Emma's voice trembled slightly.

She didn't know the exact day George was getting engaged, but it must be soon. When Anna moved into The Russell Villa, she couldn't stay here anymore.

"You can't leave!" George tried to grab her hand, but she gently avoided him.

At that moment, George's phone rang. It was Anna. It was almost 6 AM, and Anna was surely urging him.

He used to enjoy seeing Anna call him, but now, seeing Anna's name made him feel impatient.

He thought, 'Could it be that I dislike Anna now? No, impossible! I promised to take care of her for a lifetime!'

George frantically tried to convince himself to fall back in love with Anna. But the more he forced it, the more he found Anna repulsive, even her name didn't sound as nice as "Emma."

"I need to take this call." George hesitated for a moment, then finally let go of Emma and turned to answer the phone.

Emma took the opportunity to head towards the door.

Afraid of bumping into furniture, she could only rely on her hands and feet to feel her way towards the door.

Suddenly, she accidentally knocked over a delicate vase, which shattered on the floor with a crisp sound. On the other end of the phone, Anna immediately caught the noise and asked suspiciously, "George, what was that sound?"

George's heart tightened, and he stammered, "Nothing, just some clutter falling."

"Clutter falling?" Anna was suspicious.

She had recently gone to the Harmony Health Institute to look for Emma, only to find Emma had been taken away by a man. Could that man be George?

It made Anna furious to think about George's recent attitude towards Emma, but also worried that George discovered Emma was blind.

But Anna wasn't afraid. As long as she didn't admit it, George had no evidence.

However, to avoid causing trouble at her engagement party today, Anna decided to say some bad things about Emma. She pretended to be concerned and asked George a few questions about the party arrangements.

After receiving affirmative answers, Anna finally asked her real question.
