Chapter 453 Teasing

Zachary didn't notice George in the corner, struggling to keep his emotions in check. With a faint smile on his face, Zachary appeared calm and composed, effortlessly handling the attention of those around him, seemingly unaware that someone had been waiting for him for a long time.

As Zachary approached, George knew the upcoming conversation wouldn't be easy. However, he desperately needed a chance to find Emma. No longer hiding his urgency, he quickly walked toward Zachary, only to be stopped by the security team.

"Mr. Baker! Wait a moment!"

Zachary paused, slightly taken aback, then turned his head with a playful look, as if seriously assessing his now less glamorous rival. He slowly revealed a mocking smile, "George? What brings you here?"

The surrounding employees held their breath, anticipating the drama about to unfold.

"I need to talk to you about something important. It's about Emma."

Zachary raised an eyebrow slightly, "Emma? She's doing just fine now. Why worry?" he said nonchalantly, each word dripping with provocation.

"I'm looking for Emma. Tell me where she is," George demanded directly, not wanting to waste time.

"Really want to know?" Zachary's smile was gentle, but his tone was full of taunt, "I do know where she is, but I'm afraid you can't handle it."

"Zachary, don't mess with me!" George's anger flared, his eyes flashing with discontent.

"I'm just kidding," Zachary said leisurely, completely unfazed by George's anger. "You need to compromise if you want to get what you want."

"Compromise?" George gritted his teeth, the humiliation making him seethe. He knew that yielding to Zachary would mean losing his dignity forever, but at this moment, he had no choice. Emma's safety was all that mattered.

"Fine, I'll agree to some of your conditions. Just tell me where she is."

Zachary smirked, finding George's submission amusing. He adjusted his posture and said slowly, "It's not difficult. I just want to see what you're willing to do for her."

"I don't want to waste any more time," George's patience was wearing thin.

Zachary pursed his lips, his eyes gleaming with cunning, as he reveled in George's agony.

"I can tell you where she is, but you have to do something for me."

"What is it?" George almost spat out the question, his anger barely contained.

"Just a small collaboration. I'll help you find her," Zachary deliberately dragged out his words, provoking George further.

George knew Zachary was playing games.

He gritted his teeth, his anger uncontrollable. Just as he was about to retort, Zachary seemed to read his mind, "It's settled then. You won't find her without my help, and if something happens, none of my business."

Faced with harsh reality, George felt like a trapped animal with no way out.

"Alright, I accept," George agreed reluctantly. No matter the cost, he had to find her.

"Smart choice! I'll be in touch," Zachary waved dismissively, having George right where he wanted him.

All night, George was on edge. He clutched his phone, checking it every minute, afraid of missing any message from Zachary. The night outside was dark, but his heart was even darker.

At dawn, his phone finally buzzed. George used all his strength to open the message

Zachary: [Emma is currently here: Sunterra Serenity Shores Isle, Crystal Cove Estates, Villa 3]

"Finally!" he muttered, instantly energized.

Half an hour later, George was at the airport, checking in for the earliest flight to Sunterra. His mind was focused on one thing: seeing Emma as soon as possible.

He kept looking at the address, his eyes filled with anticipation and anxiety. The flight attendant offered him hot coffee, but he had no interest, his gaze fixed on the clouds outside.

After takeoff, Zachary picked up his phone and called Michael.

"It's done," Zachary said casually, as if reporting a trivial matter. "I successfully tricked George into going to Sunterra. How's your side?"

On the other end, Michael chuckled, "The plan can proceed."

Michael hung up, his gaze drifting outside. Everything was ready, just waiting for George to fall into the trap.

Emma would soon be his alone.

"George, you finally took the bait," Michael murmured and smirked.

As the plane soared through the clouds, George was unaware that he was falling into Michael's trap. His only thought was to find Emma and get answers.

When the plane landed at Sunterra's airport, he quickly passed through security and hailed a cab, heading straight for the address Zachary had given. According to the map, Crystal Cove Estates Villa 3 was in a remote, secluded coastal area, surrounded by dense palm trees and a quiet beach.

As soon as he stepped out of the airport, an eerie silence enveloped him.

The streets were almost empty, with only a few cars speeding by. In the distance, strange, discordant bird calls echoed. George instinctively scanned his surroundings, a deep sense of unease spreading through him.

At that moment, a black SUV sped around a hidden corner like a predator from hell. The window rolled down, revealing a cold, black gun barrel aimed at his chest, exuding a deadly threat.

George instinctively rolled to the side, narrowly avoiding the fatal shot. The bullet whizzed past his ear, sparking on the ground.

The assassin was clearly highly trained, precise, swift, and ruthless, giving George no chance to breathe. The black SUV turned sharply, charging at him again like a hungry leopard.

George grabbed his suitcase as a makeshift shield and darted into a narrow, dark alley. Bullets rained down like a storm, shattering the walls around him, the sound of destruction echoing like the end of the world.
