Chapter 31 Termination of Cooperation

"Turns out she's your shameless sister," Molly sneered, already knowing from Anna that Emma was the one who snatched George away.

Thinking about it, Molly's heart filled with disgust.

"Emma, how dare you show up at my birthday party? Who invited you? Did you sneak in?" Molly's voice dripped with hostility.

"I was invited by your mom, Mrs. Stuart," Emma said, clutching her design drafts and smiling calmly.

"My mom invited you? Seriously? You think you're worthy?" Molly's voice was full of sarcasm. "You better leave, or I won't be so nice."

Emma's confidence wavered as Sophia walked over.

Molly leaned in and whispered something, making Sophia's face darken. She stepped forward, her gaze sweeping over Emma with clear displeasure.

"Mom, she's the one who drugged Mr. Russell and tried to marry into the Russell family," Molly accused, her voice filled with anger.

Sophia's expression changed as she turned to Emma, her tone dripping with disdain, "You look pretty, and your designs are good, but your character is trash."

Sensing the tension but still smiling, Emma greeted, "Mrs. Stuart, I brought all the design drafts you asked for."

"Ms. Jones, get out!" Sophia ordered, her eyes flashing with disdain.

"I won't take any of your designs, and I won't ask for the deposit back. Consider it compensation for your time. Don't ever come to me again. The Stuart Group's jewelry will never be tainted by someone as filthy as you," she added coldly, sealing Emma's fate.

Emma knew it was over. She could ignore the insults, but she cared about this business and Sophia's opinion.

Anna's slander made Sophia's face even darker.

"Emma, when did you start designing? Don't tell me you're passing off someone else’s work as your own, like you did in college. Emma, you can't do such unethical things!" Anna accused, standing on her moral high ground.

Sophia didn't even spare a glance at Emma, treating her like dirt, and left with Molly. That disdainful look cut Emma deep.

Emma wanted to explain but was held back tightly by Anna.

The painkillers were wearing off, and pain invaded Emma's limbs again, leaving her unable to break free. But just a moment later, Sophia was already far away, out of sight.

Seeing no one around, Anna revealed a cunning smile, "Emma, did you see that? With your background, you think you can compete with me for Mrs. Russell's position? Emma, you'll soon find out what happens when you try to take a man from me."

Emma clutched the returned design drafts, staring at Anna's triumphant face, unable to bear it any longer. She gathered all her strength and slapped Anna across the face.

"Emma! You bitch, how dare you hit me!" Anna was furious and humiliated.

"It's not the first time. Go ahead and complain to George. He loves your two-faced act."

Anna was so angry she didn't know what to say. She wanted to hit back, but Emma had already walked away.

As Emma walked, she kept track of time. She wanted to see how long Anna could hold out and how long it would take George to question her.

Not even an hour had passed when George's call came through.

"Come to the Jones Villa immediately."

George's tone sounded calm, but Emma knew it was the calm before the storm.
