Chapter 1003 You Were Never Nice To Me Anyways

Yasmine paused, "Who told you that I have found a chef?"
"Then, can you swear that you haven't found ONE?" Waverly asked in return.
"If you can't find one, then it'll be up to me to do so instead. I am the person-in-charge of this business reception after all," Yasmine said in a self-righteous manner.
"Before I could even start looking, you already found someone. Are you so sure that I won't be able to find a chef, or have you already made up your mind to prevent me from finding him?" Waverly asked directly.
"I don't know what you're talking about. Besides, should this be the attitude you have when you talk to a superior? Or do you think that you are still the President's wife?" Yasmine snapped angrily.
"You don't know what I'm talking about? Then, I will explain it to you. Since you have found the chef, you don't need me to do anything else. No matter what objective you have, I advise you to spend your time and efforts elsewhere. Otherwise, you will become the unlucky one, " Waverly said and hung up the phone.
After a nap, her mind had become much clearer.
Whether she should meet Bellamy or not was actually just a small matter.
She had been caught in the whirlpool of her emotions, so she was confused and in pain, unable to extricate herself from her problems.
As a matter of fact, her goal was to destroy Joseph's ploy of becoming the emperor and stabilize Bellamy's royal authority.
She should try her best and find the right method in order to achieve this goal of hers.
She no longer needed to think about other things for the time being.
After figuring everything out, she made a video call to Bellamy.
He answered the phone with a smile, "You've woken up?"
Waverly also smiled and nodded, "Bell, I've just thought about it clearly. I still can't join the reception to welcome you. I have my own reasons. Could you help me out?"
Bellamy looked at her with searing eyes and furrowed his brows, "What about meeting me in private? Or is that a no-go too?"
"If we meet in private, we will be photographed and our photos will be uploaded onto the Internet. I'm afraid that it will indeed cause a lot of trouble again. Don't forget about your main purpose for coming here this time. You have to persuade Ronaldo into believing in Joseph's conspiracy, let him become your ally, and let the emperor come forward to suppress Joseph," Waverly said in a stern voice.
Bellamy was quiet the entire time, his silence deafening for Waverly.
He looked as if he was full of concern and worry.
Waverly's heart was aching.
As long as he would be concerned and worried for her, Waverly would be willing to sacrifice anything else.
A smile spread across her face.
"Bell, you don't have to worry about me. I'm living very well now, and things will grow better for me day-by-day. One day, we'll be able to meet openly without any scruples and there will be no need for us to be careful and afraid anymore," Waverly said with a bright smile, revealing her white teeth. Her appearance was alluring yet charming.
"I understand. I'll call Ronaldo later," Bellamy said in a low voice.
"So, I went to register for the company's name today. Guess what I named it?" Waverly said as if she was talking about her daily trifles.
Bellamy laughed hoarsely and sighed helplessly, "I have to guess that? You're running a pharmaceutical company, aren't you? You didn't name it something like Peace Pharma or something like that, right?"
Waverly smiled, "That was my first choice, but someone had already registered it so I had to pick another name."
Bellamy laughed heartily.
They were still as compatible with each other as always. How could he bear to let her leave him in such an aggrieved manner?
"Bulgari Pharma?" Bellamy randomly guessed.
Waverly shook her head.
It was impossible to guess a company's name correctly at random and if he got it right, it would be a miracle.
However, women only cared more about whether a man was willing to play childish games with her or not. They didn't care whether the man was right or wrong.
Waverly did not want to make things difficult for Bellamy so she gave him the answer to her question, "Blue Love Pharma."
"That film we used to watch?" Bellamy remembered that she'd watched this drama before they separated.
"Yes," Waverly responded. "To die of illness and being separated from friends, parents, and lovers is the most regretful way to leave this world. That's why I hope that the marketed drugs will be of great quality so they will be able to cure the sick."
Bellamy knew that Waverly's father also died of illness. "Waverly, how much time do you have left to complete Madam Lenny's project that was handed to you?" he inquired.
"She didn't mention a specific time, but I will finish whatever needs to be done. I won't welcome you the day after tomorrow as I have an appointment with the people involved."
"Remember, everything needs to be done perfectly. I had someone take a look at the list you gave me. The drugs mostly are anti-inflammatory ones, which are similar to the ones in the market now. However, there were two more kinds of medicinal herbs which have no actual effect. I'm guessing that you are not responsible for the other medicinal herbs."
"I think so too. Anyway, we have to clean up the logbook, so that I won't be the one to take the blame if something goes wrong," Waverly said cautiously.
"I will secretly supply you with the ingredients and help you find buyers. Just do everything by following the normal procedure. Sign when you need to, and don't sign when you don't need to, do you understand?" Bellamy taught her.
Waverly understood. She nodded and looked at the time. It was already 4:45 p.m. "Bell, that's it for now. I'm going to meet up with a client tonight. I can't let Madam Lenny see that I'm not doing anything. Also, when you come over tomorrow, make sure to be really careful. Joseph might strike at any time. Make sure to be prepared beforehand," she reminded.
"Alright. Call me if you need anything. Don't take the responsibility alone. If I can help, I won't just stand by and do nothing," Bellamy said firmly.
Waverly knew that. After all, she would never forget any of his good qualities, "Be careful. I'm hanging up."
"Alright," Waverly then hung up on the call.
Joseph called Waverly.
She answered.
Joseph's tone was laced with dissatisfaction, and his voice was as pressuring as the calm before a storm. "You are still such a disobedient girl," he said.
Waverly chuckled. She had already predicted that Yasmine would tell him what she had told her. She said, "I didn't expect that Yasmine would tell you about it this quickly."
"I don't need others to inform me of anything. Have you forgotten my previous warnings? Since you've already done all this, don't blame me for being cruel from now onwards," Joseph darkly gave her a warning.
Waverly felt that she had nothing else to talk to him about, "You were never nice to me, anyway."
She hung up on the call. It was estimated that Joseph would send someone to torture her later.
"It doesn't matter. It really doesn't matter. I'm just a lowly human anyways," she muttered to herself.
However, she did not want to cause any harm to Hayley as she was still a child.
She got up, brushed her teeth, washed her face and went out. She opened the jewelry box, took a necklace, and put it in the box.
She headed out.
"Madam, you're awake. I've already taken pictures of you sleeping. I'll send them to you right now," Hayley came over with her phone and gave it to Waverly.
Waverly took her mobile phone from her and glanced at the video, remembered how she looked when she slept, and returned the phone to Hayley.
"Hayley, I want you to do something for me now, an incredibly arduous, difficult and also quite time-consuming task," Waverly said solemnly.
