Chapter 941 The Master Is Angry
"Lily." Paxon hugged the little girl in shock, "I thought I would never be able to see you again. How did you get here?"
"Dad, that lady saved me." The little girl pointed to Waverly and said, "Don't hurt her."
Then, he made up his mind. "The Lancaster Army will no longer fight with A Country. You can leave safely, including all your hostages."
Waverly smiled and looked at Bellamy.
He looked at her dotingly...
Then, a loud bang was heard.
The joy didn't last long before Braque had shot Paxon dead.
Waverly had not yet recovered from this before Braque mercilessly killed the little girl too.
Then, he raised his pistol and pointed it at her. With malice flashing in his eyes, he did not hesitate to shoot.
Bellamy realized that she was in danger, hence he turned around and stood in front of her to block her.
"No!" Her heart clenched painfully and she cried out.
"I'm fine." He comforted her. He raised his smile before he turned around and pointed a pen in his hand at Braque. Then, a red dot appeared on Braque's forehead.
"If you want to kill her, you'll have to go through me, but I promise that you'll die along with her," he warned Braque.
"If I die, you won't be able to walk out of this place!" Braque exclaimed with certainty.
"If I were afraid of death, I wouldn't have come." Bellamy's answer was firm.
Waverly saw blood seeping out of Bellamy's back, dyeing his clothes red.
Her heart ached so much that she didn't even want to struggle. If he died, she would stay here to accompany him.
The situation was still, and Braque's cell phone rang.
He saw that it was Joseph calling. Then, he ordered his men, "Watch them."
After that, he turned around and went outside to answer the phone.
Joseph looked at the screen coldly as he saw Bellamy and Waverly standing together. The scene was so jarring that it was hard for him to look at. He ordered coldly, "Let them go."
"We have Bellamy in our hands. If we let them go, we'll lose everything we've worked for." Braque said in a hurry.
"If he dies so soon, then where's the fun in that?." Joseph said faintly. He picked up his coffee, and his eyes were still locked on the screen. Meanwhile, Waverly tore her dress in order to bandage Bellamy's wound.
He held the coffee cup tightly, and the cup was almost crushed in his hands.
"But... If Bellamy returns home, it's hard to say whether they will support the ruling party. Without him and the hostages in our hands, Jasper will not let this matter go," said Braque worriedly.
"The current war is not fought by men, but by weaponry. Once they participate, so will M Country. I will help you as the commander-in-chief. What are you afraid of?" Joseph asked coldly.
"Then... "
"This isn't a negotiation, it's an order," he said domineeringly as he hung up the phone and stared at the screen gloomily.
......
Waverly was furious as she bandaged Bellamy's wound. "Why did you come?"
"That's what I want to ask you. Why are you here?" He asked her instead.
She paused and lowered her gaze uneasily. "Even if we are not husband and wife, we have been comrades for many years. I can't ignore it when you're in trouble."
"Me too. How could I leave you behind when you're in trouble because of me?" He said in a deep voice.
Waverly's heart seemed to have been struck by a bitter feeling.
Bellamy could take risks for her, and he could give up his life for her all because of responsibility, guilt, and comradeship.
However, what she wanted was his love.
Despite this, she did not want it now.
She was no longer clean. Not only her body, but also her soul. All of it was filthy.
She was becoming crueler, more ruthless, and more shameless.
She didn't want Bellamy to know about the changes in her.
With a very sour expression, Braque came inside and said in a cold voice, "You can leave now."
There was no smile on Waverly's face. On the contrary, her expression turned grim as she helped Bellamy out of the tent.
Then, Jasper's men appeared from all sides. It turned out that his men had already surrounded this place and they were waiting for an opportunity to rescue Bellamy.
Then, she handed him over to Jasper, "He's injured. Hurry up and find someone to treat him."
Jasper nodded, and his men carried a stretcher over.
Meanwhile, Bellamy held Waverly's hand. His gaze was deep; there were too many fascinating things in them, making her want to lose herself in it forever.
"Come home with me," he said in a low voice.
She smiled faintly, pulled her hand away, and brushed a few locks of hair behind her ears.
She could not return home. What would she do if she did?
She would just be a burden to Bellamy, just like how Eli became a burden to Sean in the past!
Furthermore, she was not the only comrade he had.
"No, I am living a good life now. With my uncle's protection, my aunt dares not to bully me. You must take care of yourself, okay? When you get better, we can video call and chat," she said with a smile.
Bellamy did not hide the gloom in his eyes and he looked at her worriedly. "Are you sure you're doing well?"
She nodded and looked at Jasper. "Get him to a doctor. The bullet is still inside him."
"Alright. Bellamy, we're leaving." Jasper looked over at him.
Meanwhile, he gave Waverly a weighted look. He wanted to say a lot of things, but the words failed to come out.
Then, she watched them leave. After they were out of sight, she was still locked in a daze.
As soon as he left, her heart felt instantly empty and lonely.
Rory walked to her side and said, "So, that's the President of A Country. He's really handsome."
Waverly looked away, bowed her head, and whispered, "Let's go."
"Yes, Madam," he responded.
He drove Waverly to the appointed place.
Along the way, the sound of bullets and explosions could still be heard.
Every sound she heard struck a nerve. She looked at the dead bodies everywhere. She didn't want her country and Bellamy's to become like this!
Two and a half hours later, they arrived at the appointed place.
Then, Waverly realised something unusual, "Rory, stop."
"What's wrong?" He asked in confusion.
"What do you think that is?" She pointed at the yurt in the distance.
He was also stunned, "It looks like a camp. It wasn't here before."
"Turn around, let's go back on M Country's ship," she said.
Rory turned around, but there was no time. A few cars drove over and blocked them.
The man in black got out of the car and stood at the window of the third car. He said to Waverly expressionlessly, "Right now, my employer is very angry. Please come with me immediately."
Rory raised his pistol and pointed it at the man in black...
