Chapter 943 Always Ready
Waverly subconsciously pressed down her collar.
She didn't have any clothes to wear. Even though she had taken a shower, she was still wearing his clothes.
Looking at her small movements, Joseph chuckled. He knew what she was thinking, but he still looked at her with disdain as he asked, "What are you thinking about?"
She turned her face away from his gaze and said coldly, "I'm a little sleepy, I want to sleep for a while."
"Go ahead. This bed is big enough to accommodate you." He pinned her down as he faintly spoke.
"Aren't there two rooms?" She asked.
"It doesn't make sense. With a beauty in my arms, how can I sleep alone? What's the matter? Are you still not used to sleeping with me?" He got up from the bed.
She subconsciously wanted to step back.
However, if she was to fall back, it would just benefit him even more. He would become even more evil....
"I am afraid that my snoring will affect your rest," she said coldly and walked towards the bed.
He wrapped his arms around her waist and sat on the bed. She was forced to sit on him.
He looked at her delicate face and said, "Don't worry, you don't snore."
"I'm really tired," Waverly avoided his eyes and said.
"I don't think you are that sleepy yet. Those who are really sleepy can fall asleep even if they are standing. Since you are not sleepy, why don't we have a small chat?" The corner of Joseph's lips curled up as he asked.
"Even if you want to chat, you should let me lie down. It's getting too warm since you are holding me like this." She wanted to move his hand away from hers.
His hands were like a stone-hard fortress, and her physical strength could not resist it at all.
In Joseph's eyes, Waverly was like an ant.
"Okay." As soon as he turned over, she was placed on the bed. Before she could react, he swung her body and moved her to face him.
She was very helpless and sighed, "I think only those who are well-matched would pique your interest. However, I'm much weaker than you."
He looked at her faintly, and there was no color in his dark eyes. "Sometimes, I also enjoy the pleasure of crushing you."
Waverly didn't want to speak anymore and just looked at him.
A second passed, then ten seconds. Finally, after one whole minute.
She was really sleepy. When she came, although she took sleeping pills on the plane, she did not sleep well. Her jet lag had not been adjusted yet when she went straight to rescue Bellamy and her nerves had been tensed all that while.
Now that he was safe, she could finally relax.
Not only was her body exhausted, but also her spirit.
She couldn't care less about Joseph anymore. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.
He was still looking at her, and there were too many things hidden deep in his eyes. They were faintly discernible. Suddenly, no one knew what he had thought of, but an angry light flashed in his eyes.
He turned Waverly over and quickly pulled away her resistance.
She opened her eyes in pain and looked into his sinister eyes. Angry, she pushed him away with all her strength. "Joseph, you b*stard!"
He pressed her hands on both sides of her head and asked, "So what?"
"You promised me that you would only do it when we go back." She kicked him to resist, but there was nothing she could do about it. She was furious and in pain.
"Then, can you promise me that you don't love Bellamy?" He asked as he locked her tightly.
She stopped struggling and looked straight at him.
Bellamy had once taught her that if she did not want to be killed by an enemy, she should never let others know her real thoughts.
The more they didn't understand her and the more they couldn't guess her thoughts, the more difficult it was to find her weaknesses.
"I have never loved anyone before. What is there to promise?" She said calmly.
Joseph gave a chuckle, "You had even risked your life for him. Yet, you are telling me that you have never loved him?"
"He is my comrade who fought side by side with me. If it wasn't for him, I would have died five years ago in the Mccarthy family's hands."
"With me here, it won't be so easy for you to die even if you wanted to!" Joseph was especially fierce, as if he wanted to pierce through her entire soul.
Waverly gave out a low snort.
He kissed her on the lips.
She turned her face away and did not want to kiss him.
He kissed her on the neck.
It was too ticklish.
She pushed him away from her.
He was angry and pinched her face, "Waverly, why are you so stupid? I already own you. What's the use of resisting me? Except for hurting yourself even more, you won't be enjoying it at all."
"Then, I will remember the pain forever," she said coldly.
Sometimes, he really wanted to tear off this pride of hers.
However, it was all right. This was Waverly. She could marry Bellamy, who was completely a stranger to her in order to seek revenge. She could be so crazy to the point that she could ignore her own people.
"I will definitely not let you succeed!" He said in a sinister manner. He got up and put on his clothes.
She didn't know what he was going to do. She frowned and had a bad feeling.
When he walked out of the door, she came down immediately and locked the door.
She needed time to calm down and to think rationally. The more she was afraid, the more nervous she would be. The more confused she was, the more likely she would make the wrong judgment.
He went out but he didn't intend to let her go. Instead, it was to deal with her.
She had locked the door. Even if she was safe for a while, she could not be safe for the rest of her life.
Her goal had not yet been reached, and she still had a lot of things to do. She wanted to protect Bellamy.
She gritted her teeth, took a deep breath, and opened the door.
Joseph walked towards her and raised the corner of his lips, but there was no hint of a smile in his eyes.
"I'm thirsty. I want to drink some water," she said.
He picked up the mineral water on the table, opened the lid, and handed it to her.
She took two sips and looked at him with her shining eyes.
"Have you finished drinking? Should I carry you into the room, or do you want to follow me into the room yourself?" He asked in a low and charming voice.
Looking at his eyes that seemed as if a hunter had caught sight of his prey, Waverly was afraid. "I am really not feeling well today. How about we do it when we get back? Let me rest well for now."
"I'll give you two choices. It's either I will help you with it or you will help me with it," he said coldly, pointing at the corner of her lips.
She was not willing to accept both.
"Joseph, you can have any woman you want in the world, pretty ones, or multiple at the same time. Why do you have to pester me?" Waverly couldn't be calm after all.
"Because you are not willing to serve me. You know that I'm into challenges." Joseph revealed a smile, "If you don't make a choice, then I'll help you choose."
She turned her face away, "I don't want to do any of those two things. Let's just do it."
"You won't resist anymore?" He looked at her intently.
"Is it possible for me to resist?" She retorted.
"Perhaps, when I'm tired of you, I'll kill you," he said in a dangerous tone.
She felt a chill run down her spine and into her limbs and bones.
He would kill her, and he was literally capable of doing so. Just like his personality, he was cold-blooded, ruthless, and cruel.
However, she was not afraid. Instead, she looked straight into his eyes and said, "I'm always ready."
He liked her arrogance. She seemed like a match to him. He then picked her up and walked into the room...
