Chapter 897 Heaven And Hell
Waverly lowered her head, a welter of thoughts flashing in her mind. She hedged, "Sort of."
"How about Lenold? If you still love him, I can bring him out and send him abroad as well," Bellamy promised.
Waverly shook her head. "You know, I decided to completely erase this person from my life ever since I married you. Let's not dwell on this anymore. We'd better build the snowman. I have some old clothes that I don't wear anymore, we can put them on the snowman."
Bellamy did not continue to probe into it, nor did he focus on this topic anymore.
He had been married to Waverly for five years. They had been stuck together almost every day in their lives. He understood Waverly. Once she makes up her mind, no one would be able to change it.
They went out to build the snowman. Bellamy and Waverly rolled the snow into a ball. The two of them worked together, and finally, two snowman models were erected within an hour.
Waverly went back for her old clothes while Bellamy continued to shovel the snow. He wanted to build a snow house behind these two snowmen.
Waverly returned with her clothes and some decorations. Bellamy had already built a house.
Waverly twirled a scarf around the snowman.
The two dogs thought that it looked entertaining, so they galloped over and bit on the scarfs.
"They must be hungry. Bellamy, I think we should set up their houses and make their food first," Waverly said.
"Alright then." Put away what he was working on, Bellamy went to the car to retrieve the doghouse.
Stella and Jasper had made the doghouse together. They even thought of warming up the dogs by covering the outside and inside of the doghouse with a layer of sponge, and even stuck waterproof stickers on the sponges outside.
Waverly decided to build a doghouse next to the President's mansion.
Dogs were human's best friend, so they didn't want it to be set up too far from them. Moreover, if it was built next to a building, it could be sheltered from the wind, and the dogs could feel warmer.
After assembling the doghouse in its place, Waverly laid down her old clothes on the floor.
The clothes could keep them warm. She then poured some water and food in front of the doghouse.
When the dogs saw that there was food, they ran over and gobbled it all up.
"It looks like they're starving. If Stella knew that we made their dogs hungry, she would be sad," Waverly joked.
Bellamy looked at the two dogs. "I just realized something. Knight is a female, while Snowy is a male."
Waverly was surprised.
"Then, do you want to swap their names?" Waverly asked cheerily.
Bellamy shook his head. "It's fine."
Waverly nodded and added on to Bellamy's reply, "It is quite okay, really. A woman is also worthy of being a knight. Since it's the first day of the New Year, the shops will close earlier than usual, so it would be best to go there and buy some supplies now."
"I'll get someone to buy it and bring it over. We're still well-known in A Country."
"Alright. Don't buy pre-made food, I'll cook." Waverly continued to adorn their snowmen.
Bellamy asked someone to buy them some ingredients and asked them to send it over too.
It stopped snowing at 3 p.m.
The sky was still gloomy, the sun obscured. Waverly and Bellamy finally completed their snowmen.
The two of them rested in the living room. It was rare for them to be able to enjoy such a quiet and peaceful time.
Waverly sat beside Bellamy and put her hands on his shoulder, her chin propping on the other side of his shoulder. "Bellamy, I want to watch a movie."
"Oh, okay. Give me a moment, let me search for one." Bellamy searched for one and finally found a suitable movie. He clicked on the home theater and projected the screen on the monitor.
At exactly 4 p.m., the doorbell rang.
Bellamy looked at Waverly, who was lying on his abdomen and said softly, "Get up first, I'll open the door."
"I'll do it." Waverly got up, went to the door, and opened it.
Outside the door was Bellamy's trusted aide. He carried a plastic bag in his hand and said respectfully, "Good day to you, Mrs. President. These are ingredients that the President has ordered."
"Thanks a bunch," Waverly said.
"Don't mention it. Just let me know if you need anything else," He said with a smile, "I'll be leaving first."
"Wait a minute." Waverly turned around and plucked an envelope from the cabinet. There were 500 dollars of bonus inside it. She handed it to him. "Happy New Year."
Bellamy's subordinate received it with palpable joy. "Mr. and Mrs. President, Happy New Year. I'll take my leave first."
Waverly nodded. She closed the door after watching him leave.
She put the ingredients into the refrigerator. Bellamy bought a lot of things. There were pork, steak, mutton, chicken wings, whole chicken, chicken breast, foie gras, beef, pork, eggs, tomato, cucumbers, carrots, celery, kale, mushroom, chicken mushroom, and so on. There was also the caviar that he liked.
Helpless, Waverly looked at Bellamy. "You bought so many ingredients, we won't be able to finish it."
"It's a new year, we should treat ourselves better. We can make more food. At most, we'll just eat five meals a day. There's an induction stove in the kitchen, we can make ourselves barbecue. After we finish watching movies at night, we can eat the barbecues. That's right, I should ask them to bring us some beer." Bellamy chuckled.
Waverly, too, wanted to drink beer and eat barbecue at the same time. She felt delighted just thinking about it. "I'll make us the caviar appetizer first. This might take a long time, you should continue watching the movie first."
"Are you not watching anymore?" Bellamy asked.
Waverly glanced at the TV and said, "Nope. Just tell me what happens in the end."
"Haven't you seen this before? This is quite a classic." Bellamy was surprised.
"No, it's a classic, but I've never had the time to watch it."
"In the end, the hero kisses the heroine and goes to heaven. When the heroine reaches the heavens one day, they will then reunite once again," Bellamy said. He had seen it before, but it wasn't with Waverly.
"Ah, I see." Waverly was a little disappointed.
While she would definitely be expelled to hell in the future, Bellamy would walk straight to the heavens.
Heaven and hell, a distance the furthest away from each other. Just like her and Bellamy, there would always exist an unbridgeable gap between them.
Keeping the thought to herself, she went to prepare the appetizer.
Since caviar was a relatively expensive ingredient, she had to be meticulous with the portion.
For if it was too much, the taste would be drowned; too little, and the texture would be underwhelming.
In order to let Bellamy taste the cuisine at its finest, Waverly put her mind to it, and it used up the better part of half an hour of her life.
After another ten minutes, it was all ready to be served on an exquisitely decorated plate.
Bellamy went into the kitchen, and Waverly was grilling the ingredients that they were going to use for the barbecue.
When she saw Bellamy, she smiled and said, "You still have to wait for over half an hour, I'll let you know when it's ready to eat."
Bellamy looked at her, gentleness glinting in his eyes.
He knew that she could cook, but he did not know that she was this good at cooking.
In the future, when she would be with the man she loved, it would be inappropriate… for him to go freeload a meal...
