Chapter 928 Remember To Take The Pills. Don't Get Pregnant
"Hayley, come here." Waverly was afraid of coming on too strong. It would put Hayley in danger. Joseph, that man would show no mercy.
Hayley looked at Joseph, and then at Waverly's door. She then walked toward Waverly's room.
Joseph clenched his fists and left.
Waverly had gotten up from the bed and was putting on a thick coat. She told Hayley, "Throw the sheets away later and change new ones for me. Then, we will go out for dinner."
Hayley was puzzled. She opened the quilt and noticed the bloodstain on the sheet, "Madam, it's okay. I'll just wash it, and it will be clean."
"Throw it away." She looked at the sheet, upset. The sheet was her worst memory.
"Alright," Hayley responded. She was thorough. She pulled the sheet, wrapped it, and threw it away.
Waverly's stomach was still hurting. The novels she read in the past had always mentioned how good it felt, but no. It was not comfortable at all. She felt nothing apart from pain.
Joseph was a despicable man. He could do such a despicable thing just to stop Lenold and Qianna from being together.
She didn't want him to succeed, so she made a call.
Lenold answered and said excitedly, "Waverly, is that you?"
Waverly responded vaguely, "I have something to tell you. Someone forced himself on me, and I can't go to the hospital tomorrow. Qianna will think that I am lying. She won't believe us."
"What? Who? Who?!" Lenold snapped in anger. His breathing was heavy as his voice rang from the other end of the line.
"Joseph," Waverly said.
Lenold was stunned. "It's him!"
"He had eyes either on you or my aunt. He knew that I was going to the hospital for a checkup tomorrow, so he took matters into his own hands," Waverly said.
Lenold was still lost in his thoughts, "Wh-what do you want me to do then?"
"Lenold, if you are still a man with dignity, go and deal with whoever that hurt you or plot against you. Joseph was the one who knocked me out and took the video. It was also him who forced you to divorce my aunt, forcing me to divorce Bellamy. He asked my aunt to marry Beckham to stabilize his power and to be in collusion with Beckham. One day, he will become the king of M Country. He will not let you or me go. He will not leave loose ends for himself," Waverly persuaded.
Lenold was not a fool. He knew what Waverly meant, "Do you want me to stay with your aunt to stop Joseph's plan? He'll kill me."
"When he becomes king one day, do you think that he'll spare you?" Waverly retorted.
"You know clearly that I don't want to be with your aunt. I feel annoyed and disgusted whenever I'm with her. I want to be with you. Could you promise to be with me?" asked Lenold.
Waverly was silent.
Bellamy had told her that no one in this world was a fool. Even a dimwit knew how to fight for his own benefit.
Lenold wasn't stupid either.
She should deceive others to get what she wanted and let others take the fall on her behalf. However, she was still Waverly. She couldn't bring herself to do such things, just like how she couldn't accept giving herself to Joseph.
Circumstances could change a person and turn kind people into vicious beings. No one would hesitate to turn to the dark side for revenge.
She was going to change, but there was always a voice in her heart telling her that she hated this version of herself.
"Lenold, you know, I'm no different from any ordinary woman. A lot of women are as beautiful as I am, but I am nothing but a mess. My reputation went through the mud, and people call me a sl*t. We can stop Joseph from becoming a king, but it will be difficult to ruin him. Now that he has me, do you still want me?"
"Yes, there are many beautiful women out there. You are the only one I owe, and you are the only one that saved me. You are the only one who walked into my heart. For you, I can do anything. As long as you promise to be with me, I don't care about anything else," Lenold said firmly.
"I don't see a future."
"You can lie to me, just like how I lie to others," Lenold's tone was almost pleading.
Waverly was silent and she took a deep breath. Many thoughts were tumbling in her mind. She thought, compared, and examined, "Now that I've decided to call you, that means that we are on the same boat, aren't we? We are allies. The future is too far ahead that I can't see the end. I don't know if we can survive until the end, but now, it is the day we fight together. Are you willing to fight with me?"
Lenold smiled, "That's right. The fact that you're reaching out to me is already a great blessing to me. I know what to do. I'll be with your aunt and I will not allow her to marry Beckham. Just like how I married her back then, it was also to see you."
"Thank you."
"Remember to take the pills. Don't get pregnant."
"Don't worry. He won't get me pregnant. What he wants are torture and oppression. I won't let him have his way," Waverly said firmly.
"Waverly, let's run away and leave this country. I don't want to be with your aunt. I just want to be with you," Lenold suggested.
"I never come back if I leave. Let's just stick to the plan, okay? I am going to have dinner. We'll be in touch," Waverly said. She hung up the phone and went out. Hayley also came in.
"Madam, it's snowing outside again. The cab I called is waiting at the entrance," Hayley said.
"It's also very far from the gate. I'm going to buy a car tomorrow, so it's convenient for us to go out for dinner," Waverly said as she left the room.
It was snowing heavily. Looking at snowflakes falling from the sky, she began to think of Bellamy. Her mouth curled into a smile.
No matter how cold or difficult it was, how much torture she had to endure, whenever she thought of Bellamy, her heart would feel warm.
Her cell phone rang. She saw that it was Joseph and did not want to answer his call. She hung up the phone.
"Madam." Hayley opened a big umbrella and supported Waverly.
"You don't need to hold an umbrella. You don't need to be afraid in the snow. Just wear your jacket and wear a hat," Waverly said gently. She smiled, put on her hat, and went out.
Hayley immediately followed along.
They walked to the gate together. The driver had been there for a long time.
"Sir, Chalton Building, please," Waverly said.
Hayley looked at Waverly. She wanted to say something but stopped on second thought.
"What do you want to say? Tell me, don't keep it to yourself," Waverly said softly, looking at Hayley.
"Madam, since you're on your period, you should keep yourself warm. Otherwise, it'll hurt and cause you even more discomfort," Hayley suggested.
Waverly smiled slightly.
She wasn't on her period. She lost her first time...
