Chapter 1037 You Want To Frame Her? She’s Not That Easy!

Thomson's people directly brought Waverly to his place.
He worriedly walked up to her upon seeing her return. He then asked with concern, "My men said that someone opened fire at you. Are you hurt?"
She shook her head and said with a smile, "The Mccarthy family's Golden Silk Armor is very powerful. Although it hurt when the bullet hit, there wasn't a wound. I'll remove this Golden Silk Armor and I'll return it to you in a little while."
"This is not an urgent matter now. What happened after you spoke with the emperor? Will Joseph be saved?" He asked.
She could tell that he cared about Joseph very much.
He was indeed blinded by his affection for his family, resulting in him being deceived left and right.
"He will be fine. He definitely won't allow himself to get into trouble as well. All he needs to do now is wait. I was also asked to negotiate with Bellamy about the case. If I succeed, I will be granted the title of Peace Lady," she said.
"That's great news. It has been a century since the Mccarthy family has been bestowed with a Madam Peace. If you do become the Peace Lady, it will be a great honor to the Mccarthy family. In the future, there won't be anyone who dares to disgrace you." Thomson said happily, "It will also be best if the President of A Country chooses not to pursue this case as well."
"Uncle Thomson, I will be flying to A Country at eight o'clock tonight, but I need to head for the Ministry of External Affairs to retrieve something first. Therefore, I'll be off now," she said.
"Do you need me to send someone with you?" He worriedly asked.
"Once I reach A Country, I'll be meeting with Jasper, so I'll be fine. I'll just take Hayley with me. I'll be off now, Uncle Thomson," she nodded.
"If anything comes up, just call me," he instructed.
"Okay." Waverly responded and called Hayley, "Where are you now?"
"I am arriving at the Mccarthy Mansion, Madam."
"I'll be leaving for A Country tonight. Come along with me. I'll be waiting for you at the small courtyard by the lake," Waverly told her.
"That's great. Are we going back to A Country? Hooray! Hooray!" Hayley cheerfully jumped up and down.
Waverly did not respond. The future held too many uncertainties. For the time being, she can only be more careful than ever.
She went to the small courtyard by the lake.
Hayley happily reported to Bellamy the news about Waverly's return.
He felt extremely excited, which caused his breathing to go out of control. Without any hesitation, he immediately invited Waverly for a video call.
She thought that Joseph was still in the palace, so he probably wouldn't be able to stop everything that was happening. She picked up the video call.
Bellamy was smiling from cheek to cheek, "I received a notice from the Ministry of External Affairs a while ago saying that someone from M Country will be reporting to me to express their reassurance. I never expected it to be you!"
"My flight will be at eight o'clock tonight, so I probably won't reach A Country early. You should rest well tonight and go to bed early. We will be able to see each other tomorrow morning, so let's talk about it after we meet up," Waverly said.
"I'll send someone to pick you up. It doesn't matter how late it gets. I'll have enough sleep no matter what and I can't sleep at night either," he spoke with a smile.
Looking at Bellamy's smile, she felt warmth in her heart.
In fact, she was also eager to meet him, so she did not decline the offer. She nodded and said, "See you tonight."
"What do you want to eat? I'll get Marie to make it in time for your arrival. She misses you a lot too," he said.
"I love the beef and tomato soup that she makes. I can eat two bowls of it, so prepare some pork chops and steak," Waverly requested.
He replied in a doting tone, "Okay."
Seeing that he was still lying on the hospital bed, her eyes dimmed again, "You have injuries all over your body now, am I right?"
"I once had a soldier under my command. Guess how old he is now?" He asked.
"Sixty?"
"Ninety-four. At that time, he was shot twice and once, a knife went into his stomach as well. Now he is still alive and well. He can live for another ten years," he comforted her.
She also hoped that Bellamy could live a long life.
"You rest well now, Bellamy. I'll be heading to the Ministry of External Affairs right now to retrieve some documents. Madam Lenny also assigned me an assistant, most likely her agent."
"I see. Call me when you get on the plane," he instructed.
Waverly nodded.
She felt the illusion that they were still together. At that time, when she went to visit Country K alone, Bellamy also told her the same things.
As she hung up on the video call, the dog ran to her feet and bit her trousers playfully.
Waverly picked it up.
"If we are all leaving, what will happen to this little thing? If it doesn't eat for two days, it will definitely starve to death," Hayley said worriedly.
"Take some of its things. We'll take her with us. This time, they'll probably send a plane over to pick us up. We can take her with us," Waverly instructed.
"That's awesome!" Hayley took the little dog from Waverly's arms and rubbed the tip of its nose against hers, "Mommy will be taking you back to A Country."
"Mommy?" Waverly looked at Hayley.
Hayley corrected herself immediately, "Godmother, Godmother."
They packed up their luggage and went over to the Ministry of External Affairs.
Waverly went to the assistant's office. She only saw Judie there wearing an awful expression. When she saw Waverly, she did not speak, but she looked sullen and angry.
"Madam Lenny asked you to follow me to A Country?" Waverly asked.
"I won't go with you. You have something against me. If we were to go to A Country together, won't you do whatever you want to me? Someone asked me to give this to you." Judie threw the files on the table. She rolled her eyes at Waverly and stood up as she murmured, "D*mn femme fatale."
Waverly ignored her and examined the documents. Then, she dialed a number, "Hello, Madam Lenny, this is Waverly. The documents only consist of three pieces, right?"
Judie's eyebrows pinched together and she started to tense up.
Hayley blocked her path to forbid her from leaving.
"What are you trying to do?" Judie became defensive as her voice became intense and sharp.
"Do the documents really consist of only three pieces?" Hayley asked her.
At this moment, Waverly hung up the phone. She looked at Judie and said calmly, "Madam Lenny said that there are five documents in total. Where are the other two?"
"What do you mean other two? I don't know. They only gave me three," Judie replied.
"Who are 'they'?" Waverly asked.
"I don't want to say."
She smiled, "If you don't want to say it, you can choose not to say it. I can only give Madam Lenny a call and have her ask you herself."
When Judie heard of Madam Lenny, she was terrified. After a pause, she said, "It was Yasmine. Miss Filthy gave them to me. I don't even know if the documents had three or five pieces originally. If you want to ask about this, ask her."
Waverly gave Yasmine a call with Judie still present. She said politely, "Madam Lenny said that there are five documents, but Judie said you only gave her three. I just want to verify with you whether she was lying, or did you only give her three pieces on purpose?"
"There are five documents indeed. She's not lying. I only gave her three. The other two are with me. These documents are very important. I'm afraid we'll lose them midway. I'll be going with you to A Country tonight anyway to solicit the president of A Country. It won't be much difference to have the documents on me," Yasmine said coldly.
