Chapter 1053 You Didn't Do Anything Wrong

Bellamy suddenly clenched his fists and looked at Waverly.
She smiled gently, "It's about Yasmine, right? It doesn't matter. I support any decision you make."
He did not hide his distress and apologized, "Something happened. At noon, I already signed the contract with her. I got 5000 new weapons from M Country as compensation."
She fixed her eyes on him and her breathing hitched.
She thought that he did not drive Yasmine away. She was ready to compete in intelligence and tactics to drive her away.
It turned out that he had signed the contract with Yasmine before she could return to A Country. He did not give her even a sliver of a chance. He crushed her hope.
There seemed to be a knife slashing her heart. She felt like she couldn't breathe due to the excruciating pain.
She thought that he supported her. He came to M Country to see her and promised to take her back to A Country. He asked her to receive him and gave her a chance to negotiate. He wanted her to become a hero and establish her position in M Country.
However, he had abandoned her when she was halfway there.
Giving a person hope and turning it into despair would only make them fall even deeper into the bottomless abyss.
She held back her tears. On the surface, she looked calm. She was like a sculpture in the depths of the sea.
At first glance, it seemed that she was still human-like. However, only she knew that the insides of her body, her flesh and her cells had all been corroded. Not a single part of it was clean and intact.
"What happened?" Waverly asked.
"Yasmine knew that I was going to drive her away, so she drugged Quill. He took advantage of the diplomat she brought under the effects of the drug. He had been working with me for ten years. I can't abandon him."
Waverly smiled wryly and her eyes were misty.
She was on the verge of losing control of her temper.
She knew that he didn't love her and she didn't hope for it.
She thought that she could at least fight side by side with him.
However, she was slapped hard in the face by reality.
In his heart, she was no match for Quill.
Perhaps, she was even more minor than his comrades.
There were too many comrades like Quill around him.
Tears rolled down her face.
Bellamy frowned and apologized, "I'm sorry, Waverly. I..."
"You didn't do anything wrong." Waverly interrupted him.
It was she who had let herself down.
The more she thought about it, the more she found it funny.
She had worked so hard and begged to come to A Country.
However, what did she come here for? Was it to let Yasmine or the people in M Country and A Country see her as a joke?
They could all see her wishful thinking and downfall.
She didn't care about Joseph hurting her, because he had always been her enemy.
Enemies would obviously hurt her.
However, she couldn't accept Bellamy hurting her.
He was her spiritual pillar.
If her spiritual pillar collapsed, there would be nothing left for her except cruelty in this world!
He took out a tissue and handed it to her.
She pushed his hand away. Her heart was too heavy, as if it would crush her whole body.
She didn't want to expose her evil side and her mad nature in front of him, "I'm sorry. I want to get out of the car and calm myself. Can you give me ten minutes?"
"Waverly..."
Bellamy still wanted to say something, but she interrupted him, "Just ten minutes."
He looked at her worriedly and nodded. He looked at the driver and said, "Stop the car."
The driver stopped at the side and she stumbled out of the car.
She didn't know where she was going nor did she know where she could go in this world.
However, at this moment, she wanted to hide alone. Otherwise, she would be like a madman venting her anger, grievance and reluctance.
She did not want to be like that in front of the person she loved.
But she couldn't help it.
She kept running forward.
Her eyes were full of tears. She could not see the road ahead and the people around her. She ran to vent out all her emotions.
She fell to the ground.
She was so angry that she hit herself hard on the leg.
She couldn't even run well, so what else could she do? She stood up.
For her, the wounds on her body were incomparable to her emotional pain.
She got up and continued to run forward.
She wanted to vent and she wanted an outlet. When she saw a lake, she didn't even think twice before jumping inside.
The cold lake water was stimulating every part of her.
The memories of five years ago flowed in her mind.
At that time, her father had passed away and the Mccarthy family had ostracized her. Her boyfriend had betrayed her.
She had too many things bottled up inside. She wanted release. Without thinking twice, she jumped into the river from the bridge.
Waverly was not as gentle and peaceful as she looked. She looked sensible and elegant on the outside.
However, she was selfish, narrow-minded, vengeful, stubborn and dark.
She tried hard to hide all her shortcomings and she had learnt to be noble and elegant.
However, she would still be jealous, crazy and resentful. She would never be able to get rid of all these traits.
She had never been welcomed in this world.
Her birth was a scheme. She became Melinda's mistake.
She had become a person who had to be eradicated.
Perhaps, she shouldn't have come to this world.
She was too tired, too sad and too desperate.
Five years ago, because of her waywardness, Bernald was killed.
If she could, she wanted to give her life to revive him.
The fight was over and so was the obsession. It was too hard and too painful.
Loving people and being loved were both difficult.
Waverly allowed herself to sink to the bottom of the lake. Oxygen slowly dissipated from her body.
However, she was still calm, and she didn't want to struggle. She was exhausted even at a simple glance of the world.
There was a loud thud, two thuds, three thuds and four thuds.
It was noisy. She looked at Bellamy, who swam to her desperately, and her heart ached.
He had just suffered from a gunshot wound. On such a cold day, his wounds may be infected.
She frowned and swam towards him.
He wrapped his arm around her waist and kicked downwards with force. The two of them floated out of the water.
A group of Bellamy's subordinates were walking toward them.
Bellamy's sharp gaze swept over Waverly's face. His face was tense and he pursed his lips tightly. He looked ahead and swam towards the shore.
For the first time, she saw that his expression was livid. At first, she was scared and panicked.
She didn't want him to worry and didn't want him to blame himself. She was afraid that he would be angry and disappointed in her. She explained, "Sorry. I ran too fast just now and fell into the water accidentally."
