Chapter 1128 Do Things Calmly And Effortlessly
"Do you really have the video?" Thomas found it hard to believe.
Waverly told him, "Wait a minute." She gave Boris a call in front of Thomas and asked him using A Country's local dialect, "Um, about the video you sent me last time, the one regarding Thomas, didn't I ask you to delete it? Have you deleted it?"
As soon as Boris heard her, he knew that Waverly was negotiating with Thomas. He went along with her and said, "I've deleted it, but the video in the computer hasn't been deleted yet. It's still possible to retrieve it."
"Then, I'll have to trouble you to send it to me. Can you send it to my mobile phone after you find it? However, I'll still have to trouble you to delete the one in the computer," Waverly said, hung up the phone and spoke to Thomas again in English, "My friend has deleted the video, but he hasn't deleted the copy that's in the computer. I just asked him to find it again. It should be possible to find it once again. You should take a look at it first and see if the person in the video is you or not. If it's you, I'll ask him to reformat the computer."
Thomas looked at Waverly suspiciously and asked, "Where did your friend get that video?"
"I didn't ask about that. He sent me the video when I told him that I was looking for you for a negotiation, but you can be rest assured because he listens to my orders. If I ask him to delete it, he will do so," Waverly said.
Thomas picked up his wine glass and drank it in one gulp. His mind was in a state of uncertainty.
Waverly poured wine for Thomas with a smile and continued to say, "To tell you the truth, after I return to my country, our president will probably give me the title of Peace Lady. I want to set some schemes and stabilize my position so that I can obtain more advantages and benefits in the future. I'm in the Department of External Affairs now and opportunities will pop up from time to time. If I manage to establish a long-term relationship with you and cooperate with you for a long time, the shares of my company can even be given to your children in the future."
"I'll think about it when I get back."
Waverly took a sip of wine. Thomas' attitude made her uncomfortable.
Words such as 'I'll think about it' usually held the underlying meaning of rejection.
"Ding dong!"
Her phone received a notification.
Waverly opened it and saw that a video had been sent by Boris.
Waverly smiled, clicked on the video and handed the phone over to Thomas.
As soon as he saw the video, he immediately understood. In the video, it really was him, doing those things and making those sounds.
He slammed Waverly's cell phone on the table and snapped, "Who is your friend?"
She was quite dissatisfied with his attitude and even felt disgusted with him as he was a scumbag.
"My friend sent these things to me, so he probably meant no harm. If he meant harm, he would've looked for you directly, posted it online or even went to your opponent," Waverly said calmly.
"I want to meet him," Thomas said forcefully.
"He is not in Mexiland and I don't understand why you want to see him. He didn't send it to the public and he promised to delete it. You're scaring me. I don't think we should cooperate. I'm sorry, I'd better go home earlier tomorrow," Waverly stood up, took her cell phone and went out.
"Madam," Boris shouted.
"Let's leave first," Waverly said as she walked forward quickly.
After a while, she returned to her room.
"Shall we leave him alone first? Or was the video useless?" Boris asked.
"He's a wily old fox. Let's leave him alone for now. I'll leave tomorrow morning. Find another cell phone number and send the video to him tomorrow morning," Waverly ordered.
"Understood."
Her cell phone rang.
She thought Thomas had contacted her, but it was a call from Joseph instead.
Thinking of what Boris had said about him returning and coming back again, she answered the phone.
"Have you reached an agreement on the matter you and Boris are handling?" Joseph asked.
"Not yet."
"Heh." Joseph laughed with a very mocking tone, "Thomas is a villain. Do you think that Bellamy's plan to overtake the country is useful? He will only take you back and find an opportunity to take advantage of you and scheme against you. For a villain like him, only when you have something on him that he will be fearful, afraid and agree to your conditions."
"Well, I'll talk to him politely first before using harsher methods. I'll only wait for him until 8 o'clock tomorrow. After 8 o'clock, I'll ask someone to send the video to him and threaten him directly," Waverly said.
"For people like him, it's unnecessary to treat him politely before resorting to force. Finish your work early and return home," Joseph said in a commanding tone.
Waverly frowned, "Where are you now?"
"I'm in M Country. What's wrong? Do you miss me?" Joseph asked in a strange tone.
"Were you in Mexiland last night?" Waverly asked.
"Did Boris tell you about that?" Joseph's tone became colder.
Waverly did not want to get Boris into trouble, so she explained, "I thought I saw you yesterday, but I reckoned that I was dreaming. So, it really was you."
"You were so drunk. Was it because Bellamy rejected you? Heh, if he wants to marry Ronaldo's daughter, do you think I should ruin his plan or help him?"
Upon hearing Joseph gloating, Waverly replied, "It's your business whether you will help him or destroy him. Will you even listen to me? When have you ever listened to other people's opinions?"
"I just wanted to listen to your thoughts and do the exact opposite."
Waverly was rendered speechless.
"I want you to marry me this instant. Can you do that?" Waverly said deliberately.
"Ha," Joseph gave a hearty laugh.
Just when Waverly thought that he wanted to say something, he hung up on the call.
"Ha," Waverly sneered, mocking him. "He couldn't answer me and hung up. He really isn't that outstanding of a person after all."
"Knock knock knock!" There was a knock on the door as the person said, "Madam, I'm Agnes."
Waverly opened the door.
Boris was still standing outside the door.
Waverly felt a little sorry for him. He wouldn't stay outside her door all night, would he? She spoke to Boris, "Go back and have a rest later. I won't be in danger if I lock the door properly."
"Agnes and I take turns keeping watch during the night. We have more than enough time to sleep. Only by maintaining such an intense pace of work will it be easy for us to finish our tasks in the future. Once we relax, bad things will happen," Boris said seriously.
Agnes smiled and echoed Boris's words, "When I go out on missions, I used to only sleep for a few hours after multiple days in a row. Now, I can take turns with Boris and can sleep for six hours. That's more than enough. You don't have to worry about us, Madam. We know what to do."
"Alright then. Has Boris handed you the agreement?" Waverly asked.
"What agreement?" Agnes looked at Boris in confusion.
"I'll tell you later. You can make your report first," Boris said.
"Madam, that person has already confessed. He works for Beckham Chilton. How should we deal with him now?" Agnes said in a concise manner.
"Beckham Chilton?" Waverly thought for a while and asked, "Where did you place him?"
"In my friend's place. My friend used to raise a lot of dogs and kept them in the basement. I put him in the dog cage," Agnes said evilly.
"Did he see your face?"
"Yes, but he didn't know where he was, and he didn't see my friend," Agnes said.
"Lock him up first. Make sure he's given food and water," Waverly ordered. There was a sharp glint in her eyes, "Ask more questions about Beckham. Don't rush and take your time."
