Chapter 819 Is Your Safety or My Life More Important?
Stella seemed to notice a wave of emotion in his fluttering eyes. "Sean, could you promise me that you will never take over Bellamy's position?"
Sean lowered his head, took a sip of tea, put down his cup, and looked at Stella. "I promise you that I will never become enemies with Bellamy in my life."
Stella smiled and said, "I'll let him know. He'll be able to release you once he's done making the arrangements."
"Thank you, Stella," Sean said in a deep voice.
"Eli is my best friend. She needs you, and your child needs you too," Stella said. She then got up and walked out the door.
Sean closed his book. The light shone softly in his eyes as they darted up and down...
Stella walked out and found Bellamy.
"Bellamy, let him go. He promised that he would never become your enemy in this lifetime," Stella said.
Bellamy took a deep breath. Although he was doubtful, he still nodded his head.
Stella understood Bellamy's worries. "Jasper and I will be right there with you from now on, through the good and bad."
"Sean wanted to kill the Griswell family because of Natasha's imprisonment. Since he was dragged down from his position, I can't just openly let him go. Otherwise, Country M will be dissatisfied. So, I am going to let him fake his death," Bellamy said. Then, he paused and looked at Stella.
"Okay," Stella replied.
"However, I shouldn't be the one doing it. Otherwise, someone will be able to hold this against me in the future. It's better if the Yaleman family is the one who takes care of it," Bellamy added.
It was unlikely that the Yaleman family would take action. After all, they were very cautious now.
"It's best if you don't do anything either," Bellamy warned.
"I know. To some extent, I represent you. Sean used to have control over an organization called the Invisibles. What about asking them to do it?" Stella asked.
"They're still around, but right now, they're laying low and waiting for an opportunity to strike. It's not very appropriate for you to go to them. You can't guarantee that they won't expose you."
"I can turn to Eli. Eli is Sean's woman, she'll be more suited to make an appearance. She just has to convince the Invisibles to take action. On our side, we'll fake an ambush and cause Sean's 'death'. But we have to make sure no one gets hurt," Stella said.
"We need to come up with a proper foolproof plan. Later, I will give you the map of this place. Take it back and discuss the specific operation plan with Jasper. It's best to have some backup plans as well, so we won't run into any accidents," Bellamy said seriously.
Stella nodded. "I'll go to D Country tomorrow and contact Eli. As for Sean, I told him that we will let him go the day after tomorrow. However, I think you should let him know if he won't be able to get released by then."
"Okay," Bellamy replied. After handing the map over to Stella, he ordered his subordinates to send Stella back to the military base.
Stella returned to the military base after half an hour. It was late, and the street lights were turned on in the military area. Along the way, the lights were bright, as if they were guiding her home.
Her heart would feel warm as long as she thought of Jasper.
It didn't take long for them to arrive at the courtyard.
"Mrs. Milton, you're back!" Anthea shouted.
Sandro too ran out of his room and handed the milk bottle in his hand over to Stella. "Mommy, Mommy. Drink."
Stella found Sandro adorable. She raised a smile and said, "Sandro, you drink. Mommy is not hungry."
She looked around and did not see Jasper. "Where's the Chief?"
"The Chief is building Sandro's playground in the backyard. Mr. Zachary is here as well," Anthea said with a slight blush on her face.
Lynette lowered her eyes.
"Lynette, come with me. Let's see if they need any help," Stella said.
"Okay," Lynette answered with her head lowered as she followed behind Stella.
Banging sounds could be heard as they walked toward the woods next to the house.
In the woods, Jasper was building a swing. Although it was being held between two trees, he still attached metal poles on the side to make sure the swing was sturdy.
He also set up a canopy overhead so that bugs would not fall onto the swing. He was very thoughtful and detailed.
Stella raised her smile and continued to walk toward the backyard.
Jasper had also set up another canopy in the backyard that extended out from the third floor of the house. It was built with strengthened glass and could block out the sunlight.
There was a small castle and a slide fixed against the wall, and at the bottom of the slide was a ball pit. Jasper had even set up a small hoop for the child to dunk balls into.
There was a rocking chair next to the castle. Jasper was installing the power supply while Elvis was building a small pond next to the playground. Right now, he was installing the bricks.
"You guys have done so much in two hours. The place looks brand new," Stella exclaimed.
Jasper looked at her and said, "There were other soldiers helping before, that's why we've made so much progress so quickly. Sandro can play here in the future."
"Well, it looks good. Even the fish pond is ready. It looks better than my backyard in Seattle. Do you need help from Lynette and me?" Stella asked as she rolled up her sleeves.
"The playground is almost ready. I'm done setting up the power supply. We can leave Elvis to build the pond slowly. There's no hurry, it's not like we have any fish now anyway. Look around, do you think there's anything else we can add?" Jasper asked.
Stella was touched as she looked at Jasper. He had already prepared everything according to what she wanted. "There doesn't seem to be a bed for Gracie. Also, I want to plant some flowers around."
"I've bought a bed for Gracie. I plan to put it nearer to the woods tomorrow. After that, we can go pick a playmate for Gracie."
"I'll have to take a raincheck on that. I have to go look for Eli tomorrow," Stella said apologetically.
"I'll go with you," Jasper was worried.
"If you come with, I'm worried that someone might take a photograph of you. I will go alone," Stella said firmly.
"Have Lynette go with you then."
Stella smiled slightly. "I'll be fine. If anything happens, Lynette won't be able to do anything anyway. Don't worry. Besides, what happened between us has not been made public. Even if it was public, it won't make any sense for them to capture me. I'll only be away for two or three days, and I'll be back soon."
Jasper remained silent. He did not agree.
"There are some things that have to be solved. Once I solve them, I won't have any regrets. Then I can live every day happily," Stella continued.
"You guys could just chat online or through video call. You don't have to go all the way over there," Jasper suggested.
"I don't have her contact information now. We've already made the plans. When I reach there, I will look for someone to bring me to her. There's no way for me to chat with her online."
"If I can't go and neither can Lynette, then at least let the Dark Shadow go with you, that way I would feel more at ease. Otherwise, I'd be too worried," Jasper said resolutely.
Stella knew that he was doing this for her own good so she agreed. "Let them follow me then. But don't let anyone else find out about the Dark Shadow's movements."
