Chapter 901 Can You Feel It?

"I need a rest too." Eli flopped down on the sofa.
Sean smiled dotingly before turning to look at Bellamy. Once again, he returned to his usual calmness and self-confidence. "Let's talk in the study."
Bellamy smiled as he closed his eyes.
They were all former presidents with a similar air of maturity and forbearance. They shared the same introverted temperament too. In the fights between the wise, a placid ambiance could be a front to hide everything hostile, but not the quake underneath.
Bellamy and Sean entered the study. Not a word exchanged, only glances.
"Is there any reason you're looking for me?" Sean broke the silence first.
"I should have visited yesterday, but I was afraid that you would feel burdened, so I came a little later. I know that you are going to leave tomorrow," Bellamy said.
"It doesn't matter when you come. I'll be back every year, and you can swing by then," Sean said meaningfully.
"It will be simple for me if I wanted to kill you." Bellamy stiffened his face, announcing his seriousness.
"If you wanted to kill me, you wouldn't have let me go. I understand your boldness. You wouldn't kill me just because I came back to visit my wife." Sean was resolute with his words.
The resolution carried with it an air of relaxation and equanimity as if everything was in his control.
Was he only pretending, or was his fortitude really that formidable?
Bellamy slightly smiled. "However, I know that you are the one behind the situation in Mccarthys."
Sean said, "I know about it too, but that wasn't me. Beckham went to find Natasha. He told her that as long as Natasha helped him do it, she would hand me over to her. Natasha took the risk and seduced Weldon. After that, she killed him. But what she didn't expect was that she had always been a pawn. Beckham recorded everything and he was waiting for the right time to prove the Mccarthys' innocence," said Sean.
"What about the videos between Waverly and Lenold? Are you the one behind it too?" Bellamy continued to ask.
"I know about this too. They didn't sleep together. Beckham did it. His purpose was to drive a wedge between you and Waverly. After all, the Mccarthys will be very powerful in the future. If you marry someone from the Mccarthys again, all his effort would go down the drain."
"What role are you playing then?" Bellamy was direct with his question.
"My woman doesn't want me to be notorious, and I don't want to leave a bad reputation in history either. Besides, I've been wandering for three years, and I want to go home."
"The only way for you to go home is to wait until the Griswells have no other options except to prove your innocence." Bellamy had already seen through their purpose and steps.
Sean reminded her, "Bellamy, I promise Stella that I'll satisfy a request for her. As long as she demands me not to do anything to you, I won't. But I can't make that decision for Beckham. You know his ambitions. He is not under my control."
"If I refuse to divorce Waverly, do you think that there is any other way?" Bellamy asked calmly.
"You should know better. In your current position, whatever you do will be magnified indefinitely. The only way for you to stave off the divorce is to prove that the video is fake. Otherwise, you won't be able to weasel your way out of the divorce," Sean suggested.
He was already keenly aware of it. The reason he came to him was to prove to Sean that the video was fake. If Sean was the one behind it, then he might have a solution to it. What he did not expect was that Sean was just an insider; he was not the one who orchestrated the whole thing.
He came to Sean because he had spared him once. Since he did so, it would be reasonable to ask him to return the favor.
However, if Beckham was the one responsible for it, then it was impossible to obtain a favor from him.
"Your woman should be very worried about you. I should go back first." Bellamy stood up.
"Bellamy," Sean called out to him. He stood up and straightened his clothes. "Be careful of Beckham. He has one hell of a powerhouse in his hands. The remains of Quinn and Christian's groups should all be in his control. The only thing he is waiting for is an opportunity."
"Are you trying to create the opportunity then?" Bellamy narrowed his eyes.
"One should not act alone. I don't believe in his character. I have warned you up until now. Alright then, I should go back to accompany her. I don't want to waste any more time." Sean smiled and walked past him to leave.
Eli stood up worriedly as she looked at them.
Bellamy walked past her and left the house.
She immediately ran to Sean's side and held his arm. "He's not going to harm you, right? I'm scared."
"If he wanted to harm me, he would have done it yesterday. There's no reason to wait until now."
"What was he doing here then?" Eli blurted out.
Sean smiled and whispered, "He fell in love with his wife."
"What? I thought he liked Stella." Eli recalled.
"He was only taking care of Stella and he got confused with the emotions. He loves his wife, otherwise, he would not have lowered his dignity and come to me for help." Sean judged.
"What favor did he ask?" Eli liked to ask questions, as she always wanted clarity in everything. Otherwise, she would feel uncomfortable. Straightforwardness ran in her blood.
"He didn't want a divorce with his wife, and he wanted me to let him go."
"Then you should let him go. He even let you go even though he knew that you would harm him. We can't bite the hands that feed us. We have to repay what we must." Eli incited.
"I didn't do it, someone else did. Alright, let's stop talking about this. Let's continue our games." Sean took Eli's hand and walked away.
Eli rambled, "I still hope that he can be with his wife. I have seen that woman. Her temperament is very similar to Stella's. She is intelligent, well-educated, and innocent. She is mature, introverted, and elegant. Besides, she is very simple and down-to-earth. I heard from Stella that she has lived a tough life ever since she was young. Unlike the rich girls of Mccarthys, I like her more."
"Don't worry about these. Just focus more on your games. I always have to end up saving you," Sean said helplessly.
Squinting her eyes, Eli smiled sheepishly.
After a while, she was successfully distracted by Sean and was immersed in the game once more...
......
Bellamy returned. Hearing the sound of the car, Waverly rushed out of the kitchen to greet him.
She smiled and said, "You're back. Just in time. Lunch is almost done, we can eat now."
Bellamy looked at her and felt that she was so much like his little wife. Sadness flowed through his eyes. "It smells good, what did you make?"
"Chicken, ratatouille, and some leftovers from yesterday. These taste even better today. You can try them later. The broth should be stewed longer for it to taste better," Waverly explained and returned to the kitchen.
Bellamy hung his coat on the hanger and went into the kitchen to help her serve the dishes.
"There's still something else I need to take care of. Give me another ten minutes, I'll cook us some scrambled eggs," Waverly said as she opened the refrigerator.
"No, we'll save that for dinner. Let's pack up our luggage in the afternoon and go on a trip tomorrow morning. For the first stop, we will go to Africa," Bellamy said.
Waverly did not expect him to really take her on a divorce trip...
