Chapter 1124 Already On The Way Back
"Bellamy, I..."
"Waverly." Bellamy interrupted her, "I'm already on my way back."
"What?" Waverly failed to understand what he was trying to say.
"I've thought about it for a long time. I've regretted my decisions. I'm sorry," Bellamy apologized.
Waverly's mind went blank for a brief moment and she paused for a long while, "Are you saying that all those words that you said to me just now already mean nothing?"
"I'm sorry," Bellamy said in a low voice.
"You came over and tricked me. You said a lot of beautiful words which sounded like a fantasy. Now, you're apologizing?" Waverly started to become agitated.
Most importantly, she had taken his words seriously, standing at the window stupidly for two hours. She had been in such a dilemma that she felt that her head was about to explode. When she finally summoned up the courage to go with him, he said to her that he regretted it!
"I know that you are really angry now and you may not forgive me for the rest of your life. However, I'm sorry. This is my decision now," Bellamy said. He kept repeating the same sentence, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry."
He apologized three times in a row.
Waverly felt that there was a stream of anger that was flowing from her heart straight to her head. It hovered inside her and grew stronger, until it was about to devour her senses.
"I won't forgive you," Waverly said and hung up on the call decisively.
It turned out that love could be dangerous, able to make one feel hatred and disgust. That feeling made her incredibly annoyed, depressed, angry and she even wanted to slap Bellamy.
She had been ready to follow him and fight by his side. He had even come over and told her to believe in him and to leave everything to him.
The moment she had finally let her guard down and let go of her heavy burden, he had chosen to say, "I'm sorry, I regret my decisions."
She really felt like she was about to explode on the spot.
It felt really annoying to be given hope, then despair in the end.
There was wine in the cabinet, so she took it out and gulped it down.
After some time had passed, she was drunk and lying on the bed. She saw a person entering the room in a daze.
She couldn't tell if that person was a man or a woman.
The person sat on the bed and asked, "What are you sad about? You drank so much. Is your brain broken again?"
Waverly pointed at where her heart lay on her chest, "This place...is broken."
The person retorted in an arrogant manner, "If it's broken, then dig it out and put a new one in."
Waverly sincerely said, "Sounds like a good idea. Help me dig it out and switch it with a new one. Put the new one in."
That person stood up, "I don't think you can be saved,"
Waverly held their hand.
They lowered their head to look at her, face expressionless.
"Help me dig it out," Waverly requested.
"If you dig your heart out, you'll die. Are you stupid? Is it really necessary to do this for Bellamy? He also has two legs and one mouth just like any other person. At most, he looks a little more handsome than the average Joe. Despite that, you look like you couldn't care less about your life and death now. Do you really have to go that far?"
Waverly frowned, shook off his hand and said with a disgusted tone, "You sound like Joseph."
Joseph pinched her face and approached her, "I was so worried about you that I came back just to find you. Why are you looking at me with such a disgusted expression?"
Joseph's pinching hurt her. She smacked his hand but he would not let go of her. Furious, she pinched the back of his hand.
Joseph let go of her hand and looked at the back of his own. There was a crescent-shaped nail mark on it.
"Waverly, you really are useless. If someone hurts you, just hurt them back. You are so drunk that you can't even recognize your own father. What are you even trying to do?" Joseph said unpleasantly.
Waverly frowned, "You are my father? Aren't you dead?"
"I'm your grandfather then," Joseph took two pills and threw them into her mouth.
Waverly spat them out, "What did you make me eat?"
Joseph picked up another two pills as he replied, "A chaser, idiot."
"Water," Waverly reminded him.
As soon as she made a sound, the two pills were thrown into her mouth by Joseph and he immediately pressed his lips against hers.
The next day, Waverly woke up with a headache. She sat up and glanced at her phone. It was almost eleven o'clock.
She had drunk too much alcohol in the middle of the night. She barely recalled seeing a person while she had been in a daze.
Other than her, there was no trace of anyone else in the room. It must have all been a dream.
She got up, went into the bathroom and took a bath.
Bellamy's words suddenly appeared in her mind and she looked into the distance with a gloomy expression.
Perhaps it was God's will. There was no need for her to make a choice herself. The heavens had already arranged everything for her.
After taking a bath, she walked out of the bathroom. She wasn't in a hurry to negotiate with Thomas, so she meticulously put on some exquisite makeup.
It was almost 12 o'clock when she left the hotel.
Boris stood at the door and greeted her, "Madam."
"Call Agnes. Let's go and eat," Waverly said.
"Aren't you going to meet Thomas?" Boris reminded her.
"Let's eat first. I'll meet him after lunch as our appointment is at night. There's no need to hurry as we have enough time. In the afternoon, I want to go to another place," Waverly said faintly.
"Okay," Boris called Agnes.
As soon as they went downstairs, Joshua came over and stopped Waverly.
Waverly saw him and felt curious, "Didn't you go back with Joseph?"
Joshua's expression was very angry, "Only Mr. Mccarthy went back. Mr. Mccarthy asked me to hand this over to you. He told you not to lose it. If you lose it, you'll have to pay for it."
Joshua handed a jewelry box to Waverly.
Waverly opened it. It was the californium that Joseph had given her before. After modifying it, it became quite beautiful.
She hesitated whether to accept it or not.
The item was too valuable. If she were to lose it, she would feel sorry.
However, if she didn't accept the californium, according to Joseph's temper, he would probably get angry again and torture her in different ways. By that time, she would still have to do as he ordered.
"You don't want it?" Joshua said sarcastically, "Do you know how many people are desperate for this thing? Even if it was a single gram, they would pay for it with everything they had."
Waverly felt Joshua's animosity, "Everyone's wishes are different. What they value is different. The things you want may be worthless in my eyes, so don't talk to me in that tone."
"Are you saying that Mr. Mccarthy's love towards you is worthless?" Joshua said, his tone growing even colder.
"You can simply make a guess. It's up to you. You can disappear from my sight now," Waverly said.
Annoyed, Joshua said, "Do you think Bellamy will marry you? Give up on that idea. I received news that he's very likely to marry Ronaldo's daughter. Ronaldo's daughter is excellent. She's well-educated, is born in a prominent family and is very innocent. She is a real princess and is younger and prettier than you. You're just someone Bellamy abandoned."
Waverly's eyes darkened, "Is Bellamy going to marry Ronaldo's daughter?"
"Mr. Mccarthy won't let him get what he wants," Joshua turned around and walked outside.
Waverly was silent. She got in the car arranged by Boris and stayed quiet.
Boris looked at Waverly worriedly, "Ronaldo dotes on his daughter very much. I don't think he'll let her marry Bellamy. There's something amiss with this matter."
