Chapter 896 Let’s Not Have A Divorce

Staring at her solemn expression, Bellamy's heart hurt for some reason, and he found that it hard to breathe. "We'll get back to this after we finish eating."
"Okay," Waverly responded with only a word. She picked up the burrito and continued to munch on it.
Neither of them spoke until the food was finished.
"Bellamy, I will go back to M Country after our divorce," Waverly said.
"Are you crazy? You're only courting death if you go back to M Country. Even I won't be able to help you there." Bellamy was a little angry.
Waverly smiled slightly. "You don't have to intervene. Whatever I do in the future has nothing to do with you. I know what I'm doing."
"What do you mean by 'nothing to do with me'? You are my ex-wife. You were framed because of me, and I will see to it that you can have a safe future," Bellamy said firmly.
However, his usage of 'ex-wife' had further steeled her determination. "No need, thank you. You once told me that you appreciate my independence and that you hope I can always be independent, to deal with all my problems even without you by my side. That is why you taught me survival skills."
"That is for when you didn't have me by your side, but now you do."
"But not for long," Waverly said softly.
Bellamy fastened his gaze at her, a whirlpool of thoughts came and went inside his deep eyes. He took a deep breath and kept his wits about him. "Waverly, don't be stubborn. You can start a new life, why must you get yourself into trouble again?"
"In other people's eyes, that may seem like one h*ll of a life. But to me, it is where I can really be reborn. Bellamy, stop trying to change my mind and don't think too much about it. This is my choice. I told you my idea in advance so that you can be mentally prepared. No matter what happens to me in M Country, it is my business alone and it has not the slightest relation with you," Waverly said decisively.
The more she said, the more he felt that something was going to happen, and what's worse, it might even be an ominous thing.
"What will it take for you to not return to M Country?" Bellamy asked in a deep voice, his face stern.
"Will I be able to have everything I want?" Waverly retorted.
"Yes," Bellamy said firmly.
Waverly's heart felt sour.
She wanted him, and she did not want to divorce him.
She wanted them to be a real, genuine couple.
She wanted him to forget about Stella.
She wanted him to be with her forevermore, for them to grow old and walk under the sunsets together.
However, these were but the wishes she had caged inside that selfish heart of hers.
It was impossible for Bellamy to stop loving Stella, least of all progress into a real couple with Waverly, or even growing old together.
"I don't want a divorce," Waverly told him.
"Okay, then we won't get divorced," Bellamy replied with certainty.
The serious look he wore on his face had nudged Waverly almost to the point of tears, and they could be seen swirling in her eyes.
From that sentence alone, she was already willing to die for him.
If only they were commoners, all they had to do was get to know each other, to understand each other, to be tolerant of each other. No matter what they faced, whether it was difficulties, misunderstandings, frame-ups, they could brave it together.
Unfortunately, they were not commoners.
He was the President, and she was the wife of the President.
The President's wife had cuckolded him. If they did not end up in a divorce, she would only implicate him.
She would rather face this alone than drag him into this.
Waverly should have chosen her own path from the beginning.
"I'm just kidding. Why so serious?" Waverly smiled as she said.
Bellamy suddenly got up and walked to her side. He pressed the back of her head and held her against his chest. "Don't scare me, it's not like I don't know fear."
At this moment, Waverly was reveling in the comfort of his embrace. Even if he only regarded her as his sister, she could feel that he was really concerned for her.
She put her arms around his waist. "Bellamy, we have been married for five years, but we've never gone on a real trip before. Before we get a divorce, let's go out for a trip together, okay?"
"Alright, where do you want to go?"
"I can go to Africa or India with you. I just want to travel with you."
"I'll arrange it. We'll set out on the 3rd and come back on the 8th," Bellamy said in a low voice.
"Great." Waverly let go of Bellamy. Her eyes were red, a smile on her face. "Could we go out and build a snowman now?"
"Put on more clothes first," Bellamy reminded.
"Okay." Waverly nodded. She got up and went to her room. As soon as the door closed behind her, tears streamed down her face.
She wiped it off quickly and willed herself not to cry. How could she break down just like that?
She shouldn't have, she really shouldn't. If she returned to M Country and lost her control in the future, it would mean endangering her own life. She shouldn't have.
Picking a red down jacket from the cabinet, she put it on and headed out.
Bellamy was already holding his shovel, waiting for her. He said, "We'll build the snowman underneath the tree later. The temperature is lower there, and sunlight won't fall on it. Our snowman should be able to be last for a longer time."
"Or, we can put the snowman in the igloo, then it'll last forever," Waverly said jokingly.
"That's a great idea."
As soon as Waverly came out, she saw two dogs; one in black, and the other in white. Her eyes sank. "The dogs haven't eaten yet. I'll go get some food for them first."
Bellamy took her hand and said, "I bought some dog food, it's in the car. Their cage is also in my trunk. We'll find a place for them to settle in later."
"If we are out for five days, no one will be there to feed Snowy and Knight. They'll starve," Waverly said with worry.
"I've asked Marie to come on the 3rd. She'll take care of them. Don't worry." Bellamy had already thought of this.
A gust of wind blew over. As they had just came out from a warm room, the chill was somehow hard to bear on their skin.
Waverly shivered, shrinking her neck.
Bellamy wrapped a scarf around Waverly.
Part of his warmth was still preserved on the scarf.
Waverly smiled slightly. Any woman that could be loved by Bellamy could live a happy life.
Under his veil of a frivolous appearance, there lay a man who would do anything for his beloved woman.
She began to envy Stella, but she couldn't allow herself that. Stella was the most perfect woman she had ever met.
Maybe one day, she could be as perfect as her. By that time, would Bellamy...
No, he wouldn't!
Because in the future, she would burn herself in a life of filth, until she met her end.
Her cell phone rang.
She saw that it was from Bobe, so she told Bellamy, "You go first, I'll answer a call."
She walked to the other side and answered the phone. She lowered her voice and said, "I'm busy now. I'll call you back on the 10th, keep your phone on by then. That's all, I'll hang up now."
She turned around and saw Bellamy standing behind her, his bottomless gaze on her.
She felt guilty for some reason, but she did not try to cover it up, because Bellamy was too perceptive. It was easy to tell whether she was telling the truth, and that would only serve to compound her guilt.
"Do you want to go back to M Country because the person you love is there?" Bellamy asked calmly.
