Chapter 805 Going Home

"When are you planning to have the wedding dinner?" Micheal asked.
Stella looked at Jasper in surprise and asked, "Had we not have the wedding dinner yet?"
Jasper took her hand and held it tightly before saying, "I had an accident before the wedding dinner. So, we only got the marriage certificate and didn't manage to have the wedding dinner. I am planning to hold a lavish one when we go back this time."
Stella looked at him suspiciously.
"What's wrong?" Jasper asked in a perplexed manner.
"Our child has grown up, but we haven't had a wedding dinner yet?"
"Previously, I didn't know that we had a child. Our child was taken away by someone and was fostered," Jasper explained.
Stella remembered that he had once told her that their eldest son stayed with his foster parents.
At that time, she still wondered why their eldest son would follow his foster parents. It turned out that he was taken away by someone. Fortunately, he had been found.
The meal ended in a pleasant tone.
The next day, Stella brought Micheal to the clinic for the final handover.
She was going to leave it to Micheal in the future.
Archer, who had been working with her for a long time, was very reluctant to part with her. He was visibly upset.
Stella then treated them to lunch.
On one hand, it was farewell. On the other, it was to let Micheal get familiar with them.
"Doctor Grace, when are you leaving?" Archer asked Stella.
"Tomorrow," Stella replied.
"So soon?" Archer was very shocked. He looked at Stella, looking pitiful and feeling extremely reluctant.
"You could always video call me whenever you need me. We are all connected via the Internet. Also, Micheal is my senior. I have always consulted him when I was still studying psychology. He knows more than I do," Stella introduced Michael with a smile.
There was a melancholic feeling in her heart.
Parting was always sad. Saying goodbye would mean that it would be difficult to see each other again.
She suddenly understood why the ancient people were so afraid of separation.
At that time, they did not have cell phones, planes or cars. The most convenient transportation was horse carriage. It was far to get from one place to another, so it was difficult to see each other after separation. Even a letter might not be able to reach the other party safely.
She had some wine and it was Micheal who sent her home.
She was drunk and immediately collapsed on the couch once she reached home.
Jasper was worried and he immediately went to the kitchen to make her some honey water. He passed it to her and scolded her, "Why did you drink so much?"
"I feel a little sad." Stella said softly.
"Why are you sad?" Jasper was even more worried. He was afraid that she was in a bad mood.
Stella drank the honey water in one gulp and put the glass on the coffee table, "I feel sad when I think about the people that I won't see again. Even if we get to meet again, it will be a long time later."
Jasper stared at her.
Stella was usually a cold person who seldom expressed her affection. That was because she valued relationships too much and ended up burdening herself. Therefore, she refused to accept others so that she would not be so sad when it was time to leave.
Those people were just her colleagues. She was already so upset when they only knew each other for half a year.
His departure at that time was a heavy blow to her. She chose to hypnotize herself because she could not bear it at all. Otherwise, she would be upset whether she was awake or in her sleep. She was on the verge of mental breakdown.
"I won't leave you again or do anything dangerous in the future. I'll be by your side all the time so that you won't be worried," Jasper promised.
Feeling extremely upset, she hugged him and burst into tears.
She still knew herself well. She could not even let go of her colleagues. Thus, it was impossible for her to give up her child unless there was a bigger pain that she could not bear.
However, she chose not to think about it deeply for the time being. The more she thought about it, the more fearful and terrified she would be.
She would rather live a happy life.
She was tired after crying, so she went to her room to sleep.
Jasper packed up their belongings.
Stella did not have many clothes and he had fewer than her.
He packed everything into two boxes.
She was still asleep and her face was still flushed because of the wine.
He lay down beside her and also slept for a while.
After a few hours had passed, he noticed a movement next to him and opened his eyes.
Stella woke up and tidied her hair with embarrassment, "I have slept for a long time."
"Well, you should sleep more. You'll probably suffer from jet lag when we go back tomorrow. Insufficient sleep may cause a headache."
Stella smiled and said, "Then I'll get drunk before I get on the plane. I'll sleep as soon as I am in the plane and only wake up when it's time to get off the plane. Anyway, you'll be with me."
"Okay," Jasper replied dotingly.
They had a final dinner with Micheal and Jasmine that night.
Stella and Jasper were going to leave the next day. Hence, Micheal drove Stella's car to send them off.
Whenever Stella thought about going back to A Country, she would feel excited but nervous at the same time.
She was excited because she could finally see her child. However, she was nervous because she had forgotten a lot of things.
Stella tried to make herself sleep as much as possible through the journey while Jasper took good care of her.
She had to try to sleep as much as she could so that she would not get a headache.
Jasper had always had a strong physique, so he didn't sleep much. He took care of Stella for the whole journey.
When the plane arrived in A Country, someone was there to pick up Jasper.
Stella still felt a slight headache even though she had slept for a long time. She closed her eyes and slept after getting into the car.
After driving for more than an hour, the car stopped and someone approached to check.
"Chief," The soldiers greeted respectfully.
Stella opened her eyes upon hearing the voices.
When the soldiers saw that it was Stella, they said in delight, "Mrs. Milton, you're finally back."
Stella smiled slightly for they seemed to be very kind to her and were delighted to see her.
The car then moved forward.
Stella looked out of the window and saw many fruit trees. Behind the fruit trees was a huge lake.
The sunlight was reflected on the surface of the lake.
An image of her fishing by the lake flashed across her mind.
There was a tent, a table, and a stove beside the table. The water was boiling on the stove and it was steaming.
It was winter.
She felt a little bitterness in her heart. She smiled and said, "I used to fish by this lake often."
"Yes," Jasper replied.
The car stopped.
Jasper alighted first.
He carried Stella down when it was her turn to get out of the car.
Stella felt extremely embarrassed. She noticed some people at the door from the corner of her eyes and looked in that direction.
One was a kind-looking old woman and the other two were young girls.
"Mrs. Milton, you're back," One of the girls said, with tears welling up in her eyes and her voice choking with sobs.
"She's Lynette and she has been with you for a very long time. She's now my mother's goddaughter," Jasper explained.
The girl next to her was calmer. She greeted, "Mrs. Milton, you're back."
"Anthea is the one who takes care of Sandro," Jasper said.
However, Stella didn't see her child, Sandro.
All of a sudden, she felt someone pulling the hem of her shirt. She lowered her head to take a look.
He was a tender little boy, with a smile on his face and he said vaguely, "Sister, pretty, hug hug."
