Chapter 1024 She Was Too Skinny

"Marry Yadriel? Why would you want to marry Yadriel?" Joseph was confused.
Waverly was rendered speechless.
Joseph was good at juggling lies, jokes and truths. No one knew his real thoughts.
Bellamy had taught her that in order for others to not be able to comprehend her, she had to be unfathomable. People wouldn't dare to act recklessly if they couldn't grasp a hold of her thought process.
She had reckoned that by being reticent, unfazed, expressionless and self-restrained meant she could be unfathomable.
However, Joseph had shown her the real meaning of being unfathomable. It was as if his every word was true, making everyone fearful and scared of him.
It wasn't that he made people not dare to act rashly, but rather he made them panic.
Bellamy was the conservative type while Joseph was the offensive type.
"I'm going to sleep," Waverly turned her back to him.
Early in the next morning, Waverly was awakened by Joseph.
She pushed him in annoyance, "What time is it now? What are you thinking? I couldn't even sleep well last night."
"I'll send you back today, so you can have some free time for a few days," Joseph told her. He pinched her face and forced a kiss on her lips.
How could Waverly still sleep?
After he finished bullying her, he went to take a bath. She got up from the bed in a daze and unhappily looked at the bathroom door.
Joseph was completely different from Bellamy. Bellamy had not had any intimate relationships with any girl in the past five years. No, as far as she was concerned, he never had any intimate relationship with any girls his entire life.
Meanwhile, Joseph seemed to be addicted to women.
Exasperated, he got up and went to another room to take a bath. When she came back, Joseph was not in the room. However, the room was filled with his scent, which she disliked. So, she opened the windows.
Fresh air, which felt humid and slightly freezing, came in through the window.
Someone knocked on the door.
"Come in," Waverly called out.
Yadriel pushed open the door expressionlessly, "Mr. Mccarthy asked you to come out for breakfast. I'll send you back afterwards. He asked me to remind you not to go anywhere and to not do anything that will upset him. Otherwise, you'll have to bear the consequences."
"Do you think I will be happy, hearing this early in the morning?" Waverly asked miserably.
Yadriel turned around and said, "I've said everything that needs to be said. Otherwise, I'm sure that you'll become even more unhappy."
Waverly sneered and stayed in the room, watching the scenery outside.
Yadriel returned and requested, "Please come with me for breakfast."
Waverly glanced at him and said, "Joseph agreed to not force me to marry you. Do you know about this?"
Yadriel's eyes lit up with hope. "Are you telling the truth?"
"It looks like you still have no idea about it. I suddenly regret telling you. I should have chosen to marry you. After all, you do seem to know a lot, don't you?" Waverly grinned. She deliberately spoke like the evil Joseph.
Yadriel's face turned pale, "It won't do you any good if you marry me."
" As long as it doesn't do you any good, I don't care about those things." Waverly said leisurely.
"You..." Yadriel's eyes widened as he gritted his teeth and clenched his fists.
"Since you don't treat me nicely, of course I'll be happy if you're not doing well. However, if you're good to me, I don't have to particularly dislike you, do I?" Waverly said as she sat on the bed and observed Yadriel's expression idly.
Yadriel was uneasy. He frowned and proclaimed, "Marrying me won't do you any good at all. You would still have to accompany Mr. Joseph."
"I will make you a cuckold," Waverly taunted him with a smile.
Yadriel's expression darkened, "You were his to begin with."
"I'll be wearing the title of your wife though." Waverly stood up.
Yadriel subconsciously took a step back.
Waverly stood a meter away from him and paused, "If you sleep with me after the wedding, do you think that Joseph will take it as you cuckolding him?"
"I won't sleep with you," Yadriel was certain of it.
"Aren't you well-versed with medicines? Can you still be so certain after taking a certain type of medicine? After all, I will have a lot of opportunities to drug you. Watching you quarrel with him would be fun," Waverly planned.
"You're shameless!" Yadriel scolded while his face flushed red.
Waverly looked at Yadriel. She could upset him by talking nonsense with a straight face. This way, she could figure out his real thoughts and rectify them accordingly. This particular tactic of Joseph's was very useful.
"Are you scolding me?" Waverly said with her eyes drooping.
Yadriel furrowed his brows and looked at Waverly warily. He pursed his lips as his eyes were filled with rage.
Waverly smiled.
She had learnt something from Joseph during this period of time with him.
"From now on, you have to treat me well. Make sure your arrangements please me, whether it is about what I want to eat, what I want to buy or what I want to use. Your attitude towards me must be taken care of in particular. Who knows, I might let you go then. Now, let's go have breakfast," Waverly ordered.
"Is it true that I don't have to marry you anymore?" Yadriel was still in disbelief.
"If you don't trust me, you can ask Joseph about it. However, it's not difficult for me to turn the tables around."
"You're shameless!" Yadriel shouted angrily. He turned away and walked towards the dining hall.
Waverly followed him into the dining hall, only to find that she was alone. "Where is Joseph?" she asked.
"Mr. Joseph's whereabouts aren't something you can know about," Yadriel said coldly.
Waverly stared at him, frost in her eyes.
Seemingly reminded of something, Yadriel looked down and reported, "Something big happened in the palace yesterday. As he has gone to investigate, he was also required to cooperate with the investigation. He will be incredibly busy these days."
Waverly nodded as she was quite satisfied with Yadriel's attitude.
"How about Bellamy? Is he out of danger?" Waverly was worried.
"The surgery was a success. Mr. Chuck has regained consciousness. Jasper has already arrived. He will take Mr. Chuck back to his country this morning," Yadriel informed.
Waverly was silent.
It was good that he had already woken up and left early. At least Jasper was still with him.
She lowered her head and ate her breakfast.
Yadriel left and closed the door.
Her mobile phone rang.
Waverly was startled.
She remembered that the signal of her mobile phone had been blocked off. She looked at her phone, and she saw that the caller was Joseph.
She answered it half-heartedly.
"You'll have to eat at least half of the breakfast I've prepared for you before you can leave," Joseph ordered.
"The breakfast you've prepared is enough for five people to eat," Waverly protested. "Even if I eat only half of it, I will be stuffed to death."
"You're too skinny. The breakfast that I've prepared for you can be finished by people with normal appetites. Of course, you can just leave the food as it is if you want to continue staying there," Joseph hung up on the call before Waverly could say anything.
Waverly sighed. Joseph even wanted to control her eating behaviors, something not even her own father had done.
She stuffed the food into her mouth, bit by bit.
