Chapter 1070 You Enjoyed When He Kissed You But Hated When I Did

Waverly rubbed her belly and glanced at the time. "It's almost nine o'clock."
"Bellamy..."
"Waverly..."
The two of them spoke at the same time.
Waverly was afraid that Bellamy would ask her to stay. She didn't want to refuse, but if she stayed, Joseph might do something to her.
Now that she had turned off her phone, Joseph must be furious.
She had to take care of it.
So, she spoke first, "I have to go."
Bellamy stared at her deeply for a long time before saying, "Call me when you've arranged your schedule. I'll see you off tomorrow."
"No. Don't see me off tomorrow," Waverly refused. She didn't want him to witness her embarrassment and reluctance. She wanted to deal with it alone.
"Why not?" Bellamy asked, "I'll send you. It won't take much time."
"I'll be more reluctant to leave you," Waverly replied with a wry smile.
"Then don't leave," Bellamy brought up the matter again.
Waverly did not speak. She smiled and stood up. "I'll get change. I like this dress very much, so I'll take it with me."
"I'll send you back to the hotel. It shouldn't be a problem, right?" Bellamy stood up as well.
"If you send me to the hotel, there will be police cordons and also guards. It's too troublesome. I can go back alone and it's very convenient. Bellamy, let's have a video call when I get back to M Country," Waverly said. She didn't give Bellamy any chance to speak and quickly walked to her room.
She changed her clothes and carefully put her evening dress into the suitcase. After that, she exited the room.
Bellamy stood in front of her and asked again, "You really don't want me to send you?"
"No. Take good care of yourself," Waverly said as she passed by him.
Bellamy took the suitcase from her hand and went out.
The sergeant had already parked the car outside and was waiting. Another sergeant came over and took the luggage from Bellamy's hand and placed it in the trunk.
Bellamy personally opened the door for Waverly and said, "Later, I'll get Hayley to follow you. She'll protect you."
"Okay." Waverly got in the car and waved at Bellamy, ushering, "Go in quickly. It's very cold outside. Don't catch a cold."
Bellamy stood at the door and did not move.
The car that Waverly was in was ready to leave. Waverly didn't want to look back, so she left with a heavy heart.
However, after driving for 500 meters, she still could not help but look back. She saw that Bellamy was still standing at the door. She felt a bitter feeling in her heart.
After parting ways, no one knew when they would meet again.
However, that was the only way.
Bellamy, take care.
After a while, the car reached the entrance of the hotel.
Waverly said to the sergeant, "You don't have to send me in. I can go in by myself."
The sergeant nodded and drove away.
Waverly went in, provided her ID card, and prepared to check-in.
"Miss, your room is ready," the receptionist said with a smile.
"Thank you," Waverly replied as she took the card from the receptionist.
She went to her room and turned on her phone.
There was a message that notified her of Joseph's call, and she noticed that the phone battery was still half full. Thus, she couldn't use this excuse.
He had only made one phone call at nine o'clock.
She took a deep breath and dialed his number.
However, Joseph directly hung up the call.
Waverly put her phone aside. Well, since Joseph gave her the time to charge her phone, she could use this excuse.
She went to take a shower and washed her hair. After showering, she glanced at her phone, but Joseph still did not call back.
She was a little uneasy.
Based on her understanding of Joseph, if she made him unhappy, he would definitely make her even more miserable.
She was worried that Joseph would do something to Bellamy, so she summoned up the courage to call Joseph again.
Joseph answered the phone this time around and asked gloomily, "What is it?"
"Where are you?" Waverly asked.
Joseph sneered, "When you left with Bellamy, why didn't you think that I was still there? Isn't it too late to ask me now?"
"You've been humiliating me. Why shouldn't I leave? Should I stay there and let you insult me?" Waverly retorted.
Joseph hung up the phone again.
Waverly was so angry that she threw her phone on the bed.
She was afraid to take it any further and because of that, nothing could be done.
There was nothing she could do even if she continued to worry about it.
She should just be brave and do something. She lay down on the bed and closed her eyes. The image of Bellamy getting shot flashed across her mind. She sighed and opened her eyes.
Even though they were insignificant, the worry was still there.
She couldn't just ignore it, especially when it involved Bellamy.
She made a phone call to Bellamy, saying, "Bellamy, it's Waverly. You have to send someone to keep an eye on Joseph for the next 24 hours. He is cruel, merciless and would never want to lose. Today, he suffered a loss at your place. Now he will want revenge. Be very careful, especially at the President's Mansion. You must be more vigilant and do not let go of any corners. If you can, move out of there."
"I think he has already made his move," Bellamy said in a low voice.
Waverly's face went pale. "What do you mean?"
"Hundreds of poisonous snakes crawled into the President's Mansion. They bit a few of my men."
"Are you all right?" Waverly asked anxiously.
"I'm fine. The snakes can't get into my room."
"What about Joseph? Since he could release so many venomous snakes without anybody knowing, your place is no longer safe."
"I have installed a safety system in my room. It will notify the police as long as someone comes in without my permission," Bellamy explained.
Waverly was relieved to hear this. "That's good. I'm going to hang up now."
"I will ask to move out of the President's Mansion when I get to work tomorrow. Don't worry."
"Okay," Waverly responded. "Are those sergeants okay?"
"There is a reserve of anti-venom here and they were treated on time. They'll be fine."
"You should also stay alert when you go out tomorrow, especially when you're in the car. Have someone to check first before you get in," Waverly reminded him.
"The sergeant checks the car every day."
Bellamy was a cautious person. Waverly believed that he would do better than her, so she said, "That's good to know. Go to bed early. I'm going to sleep too."
"Okay, good night."
Waverly hung up the phone and put it beside the pillow.
Joseph was really immature. How childish could he get?
She closed her eyes with thoughts running in her mind. Soon, she fell asleep in a daze.
Without knowing how much time had passed, she felt someone lying down beside her. Feeling shocked, she immediately opened her eyes and rolled out of the bed. When she stepped on something slippery and cold, she thought it was a snake and quickly jumped onto the bed again.
Then, Joseph's loud laughter was heard.
Waverly was furious and she hit him, "Are you sick? Are you crazy? Do you think it's funny to scare someone in the middle of the night?"
Joseph held her hand and said, "Who's sick?"
"You!" Waverly seethed without any sign of weakness.
The next second, Joseph leaned in to kiss her on the lips.
Waverly hurriedly dodged.
He was annoyed. He held the back of her head and forcefully kissed her. Then, his long tongue entered her mouth.
Waverly struggled from his grip. Feeling annoyed, she shoved him but he only budged slightly. Left with no choice, she bit down hard on his tongue.
Joseph was in pain and he let go of her. He grabbed at her chin and bellowed, "What's wrong? You were satisfied when he kissed you, but now you're pushing me away when I do it."
