Chapter 808 Love Is Like A Dagger
Jasper could tell that she was still dissatisfied with Stella.
His gaze grew deeper.
"She must have been devastated when I left without saying goodbye and chose to die back then. After all, she had worked so hard for so long. That's why she chose to forget the past. My past self lived for the country, but now, I want to live for her. She has sacrificed too much for me," Jasper said. His tone softened when he talked about Stella.
Suzi seemed touched. "We owe her a lot. Don't worry about Ralph. I'll raise him and set him right. I'll teach him how to be a decent man."
"Stella considered your feelings when she left back then. She was worried that you would be too sad, so she asked someone to send Ralph to your side. She wanted you to be happy. If she makes you uncomfortable now, I hope that you could understand her circumstances then," Jasper said in a deep voice.
Suzi's eyes turned red, "I just wonder how a person could be so rational to the point that she could be so heartless."
"Heartless doesn't mean there is no love. There is a 80% possibility in her analysis. She is just trying to remove a lot of unnecessary troubles." Jasper said.
"She's the one you love the most. You'll definitely speak up for her."
"Even if she is not my loved one, I still feel that what she said makes sense. You have a different feeling for Ralph. You feel sorry for him now. If Stella has a conflict with Ralph in the future, you will favor Ralph, which will affect your relationship with her. She just wants to maintain the present state," Jasper said sensibly.
"Ah!" Ralph's frightened voice could be heard.
Suzi immediately opened the door and saw Ralph lying motionless on the ground.
Jasper went out and at his first glance, he saw Stella standing in the long corridor, "What happened?"
"He fell down from the stairs himself." Stella explained.
Ralph sat up, with his arms, legs, and waist injured. He pointed at Stella and said, "It's you. You pushed me down the stairs. Why did you push me?"
Suzi looked toward Stella.
Stella laughed and asked Suzi, "Do you believe him? You don't believe me, do you?"
"He's already injured. How could you still laugh?" Suzi said in agitation.
Stella replied angrily, "Couldn't you tell the meaning behind my laughter? I'm not laughing because I'm gloating, but because I'm disappointed in you. Besides, even if I'm laughing, it's natural for me to do so because he framed me. I will only be kind to people who deserve it. I believe you should have heard the story of a farmer and a snake before."
"You have a sharp tongue. I can't outspeak you," Suzi said as she helped Ralph up. "Are you injured? Where does it hurt? Grandma will take you to the hospital now."
Suzi held Ralph's hand and left.
Stella smiled slightly.
She should not have lost her temper. Looking at Jasper, she asked, "Do you also think that I'm the one who did it?"
"I believe he fell down by himself. There's no need for you to push him, but it would be beneficial for him to frame you. What he wants is Suzi to misunderstand you and to take advantage of her love for him."
Stella felt a sense of warmth in her heart. She did not feel angry anymore.
She was there because of Jasper, so everything would be fine as long as Jasper understood her. She did not care about other people's feelings and misunderstandings toward her.
"The child must have planned for this. When I went out, I saw him standing at the staircase. He gave me a look of intense hatred and rolled down the stairs by himself," Stella explained.
"Stella, you are a psychologist. What do you think we should do for his case?"
"There's no solution to it. The reason why he did this is due to his deep hatred toward me. In order to take revenge on me, he did not even hesitate to hurt himself. Although he is still young, his hatred is very deep. In order to prevent his hatred to go deeper, it's better to reduce the contact between us. So, I really can't take him with me," Stella said gently.
Jasper nodded and said, "I know what to do. Wait for me at home."
Jasper went out and saw them by the lake. Suzi was applying medicine on Ralph.
Jasper walked over, took the medicine from Suzi, squatted down and applied it on Ralph.
"Daddy, it's really her who pushed me down the stairs." Ralph complained.
"I have installed surveillance cameras in the room. I went to check the footage and saw you standing at the top of the stairs from the start. When you saw her come out, you fell down the stairs on your own," Jasper said in a low voice.
Ralph was visibly stunned, and he scrutinized Jasper closely.
Suzi figured out the truth upon seeing Ralph's look, "Ralph is still a child. It's natural for him to be capricious. Don't blame him."
"A child is exempted from punishment when he does something wrong just because he is a child. This is mainly because adults are soft-hearted, loving, and reluctant to punish them. Over time, a child will feel that it wouldn't matter if they make mistakes. That's because there will always be people who will protect, care, and pamper him. In the future, what they do will become more excessive. They will try and commit even more grave mistakes," Jasper said coldly.
Suzi's face was not looking too good, "I'll guide him better in the future."
"If you can't bear to punish him this time, you won't be able to do it next time too. I'm going to send him off and get someone to coach him strictly," Jasper said.
"No, Daddy, please," Ralph knelt to the ground anxiously and said, "I won't do it again. I will be obedient in the future."
"I've heard you said this a few years ago, but what happened in the end? You hate her, but she's innocent. I've never liked your mother. Your mother killed my friends, and she had been lurking around me. I don't expect you to understand now. I only hope that you'll understand when you grow up in the future," Jasper responded and stood up coldly.
"I will not allow you to send him away. Do you want me to kill myself? Ralph has already lost his parents. Where are you going to send him to? Jasper, you can't be so cruel," Suzi said and walked to Ralph, embracing him.
"I am not cruel. I am just making the right decision. You love him, but you will lead him astray."
"Could you guarantee that he won't go astray if you send him away? He will even hate you. I beg you to let Ralph stay with me," Suzi said sadly.
Jasper's heart softened. He looked at Ralph in Suzi's arms and said, "This is your last chance. If you do something like this again, I promise that you will lose your freedom forever."
Ralph nodded as he trembled with anger, forbearance, fear, and hatred.
Jasper went back inside, and Stella was playing with Sandro.
Sitting next to Stella, Jasper looked at her and said, "I'll bring you and Sandro back to the military base tomorrow."
"Bring Anthea with us. I think that Sandro has a good relationship with her. She doesn't have a boyfriend yet. We could find her a boyfriend in the military base," Stella said with a smile.
Anthea instantly blushed and lowered her head shyly.
"What about Lynette?" Jasper asked.
