Chapter 993 Are You Done Yet?

Waverly looked out of the window. She did not respond nor refuse him. She did not want to kiss him back, but she also knew that the more she resisted, the crazier Joseph would become. It was also possible for him to want her in the car.
Her head hurt.
As Joseph realized that she wasn't responding, the initial gentle kiss turned into a wild and overbearing bite.
Waverly did not say a word as her heart had already drifted back to Country A's President's Mansion.
It was already late in the night, and Waverly wondered if Bellamy had fallen asleep.
In the past, if she woke up and noticed that he was not asleep yet, she would bring a pack to his study room and have a quick chat.
Although he was shrewd, he would still tell her everything. He would even share with her the strategies and methods he thought of.
She felt Bellamy's confidence, tolerance, and assistance towards her. He was gradually trusting her more.
How did she find out that she had a crush on Bellamy?
It was winter, and it was also during the New Year. She had followed Bellamy to Jasper's place for dinner.
When Bellamy looked at Stella, she realized that his gaze was filled with yearning, affection, love, and infatuation.
When Waverly was scalded by a hot bowl, his heart ached, and without hesitation, he held Waverly's hand.
At that moment, Waverly felt that her heart ached. It was as if a diamond had penetrated through it, causing blood to bleed out her fragile heart and warmth to slowly seep out of her body.
Waverly realized that she had fallen in love with a man. At the same time, she also discovered that the man she loved was deeply in love with another woman.
Waverly finally understood why Bellamy did not want to touch her even though they were married. It was not only to consolidate his authority but also to protect Stella.
Her heart began to ache as she shut her eyes, and tears began to roll down her cheeks. She could taste the bloody and sweet flavor of her own blood.
Joseph let go of her. He frowned and spoke slightly irritably, "I've hurt you."
Waverly wiped the blood off her lips with her finger.
Compared to the pain inside her heart, this was nothing.
"Do you really think Yasmine loves you?" Waverly asked.
Joseph smirked and retorted, "Did you marry Bellamy because you love him?"
He was able to highlight the main point with just one sentence. When they talked, it was like asking a tiger for its skin. Waverly didn't want to talk anymore, so she looked at him with drooping eyes and mumbled, "I'm sleepy. I'm going to sleep."
"Let's sleep then," Joseph agreed.
Just as she was wondering to herself why he was being so nice, he added. "You may not be able to sleep after we return."
Waverly closed her eyes and was awakened by Joseph. After that scary moment, she could not sleep.
However, Joseph had reminded her of something.
Most of the officials in M Country were in his hands. Regardless of who she went on a date with, it would still be a great danger. After thinking about it, the only one who could fight against Joseph was members of the Harington family.
However, since Waverly's grandfather's generation, the Mccarthy family and the Harrington families were strong rivals. They were incompatible like water and fire.
Besides, Waverly was a former Mrs. President who had made such a huge mistake. Those princes would not want to have anything to do with her unless they didn't want to be the king.
As for the Harington family's relatives, there were a few youngsters. However, she had yet to find any powerful individual among them.
The only route that Waverly had was towards the Harrington family, which was one filled with difficulties and challenges.
"What are you thinking about?" Joseph asked.
Waverly opened her eyes, frustrated. She looked at him faintly. "I am preparing to sleep."
"Really? It's better not be because you have not given up yet. You know, my patience runs thin." Joseph remarked.
"Oh," Waverly replied to him unhappily and closed her eyes again.
Then, Joseph forcefully pushed her head against his body.
Waverly didn't like the smell on him. Perhaps it was because he had hugged Yasmine before, and his body was covered in her perfume.
If she escaped, Joseph would be angry, and she wouldn't have any peace. Waverly kept her eyes tightly shut until she eventually fell asleep.
After a while, she felt that someone was carrying her.
She instantly remembered what Joseph mentioned in the car.
She might not be able to sleep after she got home.
It was obvious what Joseph meant. Hence, she simply pretended to be asleep.
Joseph carried her into a room and put her on the bed. Then, he went into the bathroom, and it sounded like he was taking a shower.
Waverly opened her eyes.
Oh no, she didn't even have the chance to study her sleeping posture. How could she put on an act like this?
Waverly hoped that Joseph would be too tired and let this slide.
Waverly continued to close her eyes as she heard the bathroom door opening. Joseph walked out and soon after, she felt the bed sink.
After that, silence.
However, the lights were still on.
Waverly was so nervous that her whole body tensed up. She could feel that Joseph was watching her, which made her hair stand on end.
The fear of facing the unknown was like looking at the possibility of dying head on. It was a soul-torturing thing to do.
Waverly knew that Joseph was doing it on purpose, so she opened her eyes and glared at him.
The corners of Joseph's mouth curled up. "You are not pretending anymore?"
"I wanted to sleep, but the lights were on, so I couldn't sleep. Switch off the lights." Waverly answered.
"You seem to have forgotten what I said to you in the car," Joseph teased.
"Aren't you tired?" Waverly frowned.
"You'll find out soon whether I'm tired or not. Or, would you like to do it yourself?" Joseph's tone was clear and explicit.
Waverly immediately felt herself blushing. She was embarrassed and annoyed as she refused him, "I'm exhausted."
Joseph smiled lightly and put a finger on her lips.
Waverly felt uncomfortable and pushed his hand away.
But the more she rejected him, the more forceful he became. His hands dived straight under her clothes.
Waverly's strength was no match for him. Since she had to suffer like this, why not make it easier? Once he was satisfied, he would be able to calm down then.
She simply stopped pushing him and urged, "Hurry up."
Joseph bit her lips.
Waverly felt the pain spreading from her lips and scolded angrily, "Are you a dog?"
"Yes, and what are you?" Joseph asked.
Conversations like these made her irritated, and she exhorted, "Can you hurry up?"
The faster she wanted him to be, the slower he became, as if he was deliberately going against her wishes.
Waverly really felt that Joseph was a pervert. It was in the middle of the night, yet he didn't want to sleep and insisted that they had sex. It was as if he made it his life purpose to make her uncomfortable.
She was stubborn and did not let him do as he wished. Before he could do what he set out to do, the sky had turned bright.
Waverly remembered what Yasmine put her through when she ran late the last time. She couldn't be late this time round; she didn't want to leave a bad impression.
"Joseph, are you done yet? I have to go to work today," Waverly yelled.
He finally lost his patience and went straight for it. He barked out his oppressive order, "Don't go to work these few days. Stay here."
Waverly was anxious. She widened her eyes and shouted, "Are you crazy? Bellamy is coming tomorrow, and the king appointed me to attend to him. How can you not let me go?"
Joseph mocked, "So, you really want to meet Bellamy, don't you?"
